Chapter 717: Meeting

After Yin Chuchu gave them a thorough whipping, even Lin Maojie’s superpower failed to make an impact, and these people immediately became obedient.

"Please spare me, Great Aunt, I won’t dare anymore." Lin Maojie cried pathetically, thinking that these two girls would worship him like the others he had saved before, idolizing him, assuming they were like little rabbits; but instead, they were steel-toothed rabbits. Too ferocious, he couldn’t handle such women.

"Pah, with skills like these, you still have the nerve to call yourself the Chosen One, haven’t you read too many novels?" Yin Chuchu glanced at him disdainfully, immediately losing interest in continuing the fight.

Yin Chuchu turned around to leave, Xu Mumu’s eyes slightly narrowed, and the knife in her hand flew out instantly, chopping off Lin Maojie’s right hand, which held a small dagger prepared for a sneak attack on Yin Chuchu.

"Ah!!" A miserable scream rang out.

The knife in Xu Mumu’s hand had killed many zombies, and naturally, it bore quite a bit of rotten zombie flesh, most likely carrying a substantial amount of the zombie virus.

Yin Chuchu came to her senses, seeing the dagger in the severed hand on the ground, jumped in fright; she hadn’t expected he would attack her like that, and couldn’t imagine the consequences if he succeeded.

Yin Yang had also noticed the dagger in Lin Maojie’s hand immediately, but once his little lady had acted, he decided to just watch the show.

Though he had been in this world for just over a month, he had already gladly accepted his identity; the parents and sister in this world were quite nice, and he had acknowledged them.

Yin Yang looked coldly at Lin Maojie, who was struggling on the ground; by now, Lin Maojie’s complexion was changing, a sign of zombification.

"Let’s go, we should head back." Yin Yang glanced at Lin Maojie and then spoke to his team’s members.

"Got it, bro." Yin Chuchu pressed her lips together.

The group left, Lin Maojie’s zombification advanced, and the bloodstains here attracted other zombies over. Xu Mumu and her group left quickly, and by the time Lin Maojie’s team reacted, they were already far away.

Watching Lin Maojie slowly turn into a zombie, no one dared to approach him.

They picked up two cars by the roadside and got in; Yin Chuchu was still feeling a bit downcast.

"Sister-in-law, did he want to kill me?" Yin Chuchu pressed her lips together, feeling incapable of killing someone.

"Probably." Xu Mumu said calmly.

"Why? I didn’t even hit hard; they were the ones being frivolous with us first." Yin Chuchu was very unhappy.

"What’s the use of thinking so much? It’s the apocalypse now, not a time of peace; even if you kill someone, no one will hold you accountable." Yin Yang glanced calmly at his younger sister; if it weren’t for this sister being more pleasing than those illegitimate daughters in his previous life, he wouldn’t even bother to remind her.

"It’s the apocalypse, and many people’s true nature is being exposed; it’s quite normal. You’ll see it often in the future, and get used to it." Xu Mumu looked a bit soft-hearted at the sight of the young girl’s dejected look. Unlike her own cold-blooded nature, Yin Chuchu simply hadn’t experienced these things.

Yin Chuchu, unimpressed by the comfort:... Always felt her sister-in-law knew a lot and adapted to this apocalypse particularly quickly.

When they got home and saw their daughter’s bad mood, Mrs. Yin immediately expressed her concern.

Mrs. Yin was just an ordinary person who could only stay at home to avoid becoming a burden, trying to help out her family whenever possible.

Yin Chuchu told the whole story of what happened today, and Yin Peng, reviewing some documents on the side, also listened to his daughter speak. The couple only had this one daughter and naturally doted on her.

"Mumu did the right thing, Chuchu, the outside world is chaotic now, you can’t afford to be soft-hearted." Yin Peng’s voice remained stern but carried his love for his daughter.

"Got it, Dad." Yin Chuchu nodded. Today’s incident indeed taught her a lesson; if Xu Mumu hadn’t chopped off that guy’s hand, she wouldn’t have noticed.

The thought of possibly falling into such a villain’s hands made her feel a wave of nausea.

Aside from Mrs. Yin’s lingering concern, the others didn’t keep this matter on their minds.

"Once everyone’s done eating, let’s all go to the study; there are things to discuss." Yin Peng addressed the group; these people would become the backbone of the Yin Family, personally selected and reliable young individuals.

After dinner, the group went to the study.

"Dad, what’s the matter?" By now, Yin Chuchu was not feeling upset anymore. It seemed a delicious meal could solve anything, and if not, two meals would do.

"This is a report from above regarding the establishment of a base. They’re now directing squads to clear out zombies; those up there are collecting Zombie Crystal Cores to exchange for resources." Yin Peng’s eyes slightly narrowed.

"Dad, do you want us to form an adventurer squad to clear out zombies?" Yin Yang returned the report, asking.

"Yes, but as for the Crystal Cores, we’ll keep them ourselves. Once you’ve formed a squad, if you encounter promising and trustworthy superpower users, you can recruit them into the team." Yin Peng directly shared his plan; the Yin Family currently had too few superpower users, and he intended to recruit some people, albeit without making rash promises.

"It’s doable." Yin Yang curled his lips; with enough strength in hand, there would also be enough influence in the future.

"By the way, how do you plan to deal with the other ordinary people? I don’t want to feed them for free." Yin Yang lazily leaned on the sofa, playing with his little wife’s soft hand.

"After the zombies are cleared out, they’ll be sent off to build walls and establish a base; I have no intention of feeding them for free." Yin Peng said with a smile. Even though the Yin Family had more resources for now, the food distributed during this period was just hard bread, enough to keep them from starving to death.

Before the apocalypse, especially during the time his son was in a coma, these people had caused him enough trouble. Without dealing with them, he wouldn’t feel at ease.

"Glad to hear that." Yin Yang smiled.

"They’ll probably cause trouble again then." Yin Lin also smiled.

"Let them cause trouble; it’s not the first time." Yin Peng was very calm; he wasn’t afraid of them causing trouble. Now that they controlled the resources, those people wouldn’t dare to make a big fuss.

The expressions of the other people changed slightly; they were all branches of the Yin Family. However, they had no objections to Yin Peng’s arrangements; to survive, what’s the harm in building walls and creating a base? Surely a lot of people working together would get it done quickly.

"Oh, and about the superpower users; those above are collecting statistics on them." At that moment, Yin Peng became serious again.
