Chapter 350: Fifteen Percent

Gold tore from both halves of the dead incarnation core before any ordinary loot panel appeared. The light ignored broken procession armor, crossed the Phase-Locked Chain, then entered the Fragment behind Hajin’s hybrid core.

Its movement carried no item shape, monster core classification, or material ownership mark. Ferra’s preserved divine metal remained upon the nullstone, while the recovered essence separated from everything physical inside the wreckage.

Warmth expanded behind Hajin’s core without restoring any mana spent during the battle. His four Rings remained open around a burned right arm, while the fifth threshold stayed beneath its missing EXP.

The recovered gold entered places inside the Fragment that had remained silent since the last audit. One sealed section opened into memory before Hajin could dismiss the surrounding interface.

The coronation room vanished from his senses without moving his physical body. He received the memory from the Fragment’s broken perspective, carrying only what its missing original had once witnessed.

A circular chamber occupied the darkness, its floor divided by lines resembling an older soul cycle. Several high-backed seats surrounded a table whose center held pale figures traveling through rings of light.

Hajin could neither turn within the chamber nor direct attention beyond the surfaces the Fragment preserved. The memory supplied sight, sound, plus pressure from one damaged witness position without opening an independent view through any divine mind.

Every missing section remained blank when he tried examining it through Divine Eye. Recovered essence had opened one stored event, leaving the absent people, discarded words, plus surrounding history outside his reach.

Most seats existed only as gaps where the recovered memory had lost entire people. One seated god remained visible from the shoulders downward beneath robes arranged in strict descending bands.

Its face was absent rather than hidden by shadow inside the damaged memory. Fragment damage had removed every feature, crown, personal mark, plus identifying color above the figure’s throat.

One hand rested upon the table beside a column of tiny soul lights. Each finger movement assigned those lights different levels, forcing them into narrower paths according to the rank placed above them.

No soul light retained a face, name, species, or personal memory within the surviving scene. Their reduction into movable ranks belonged to the seated god’s demonstration, preserving doctrine while withholding every life used to illustrate it.

Higher marks received wider paths until the seated hand narrowed them through another command. Lower marks began inside confinement, making obedience a property imposed by classification rather than a choice made by any soul.

"A soul must obey the hand that gives it rank," the seated god said, although parts of the voice disappeared between words, "order begins with the right to place every lesser life."

The pale figures tried moving between assigned paths after their ranks appeared. Invisible pressure returned each one toward the route chosen by the hand, reproducing the same logic the Witness Avatar had imposed inside the coronation room.

Another presence stood across the table where the memory had lost its body. Its answer reached Hajin as broken refusal without enough surviving words to reconstruct an argument or identify the speaker.

The seated god closed its fingers around the ranked lights instead of responding with another complete sentence. Several soul paths ended inside that hand, while the remaining memory fractured around the motion.

{Memory continuity lost.}

{Seated divine identity: unavailable.}

{Face: missing from recovered Fragment.}

{True name: missing from recovered Fragment.}

{Observed principle: souls placed beneath authority must obey assigned rank.}

Hajin returned to the coronation room with the final hand movement still pressing against his senses. The memory explained the philosophy behind the avatar’s law without identifying which god had spoken or proving that speaker alone built the Witness.

Fifteen-percent recovery restored enough Fragment continuity to release this single broken event. It awakened no physical Goddess body, continuing consciousness, or reliable conversation across the missing eighty-five percent.

"The governing principle matches the rank command we recorded," Aria said, keeping the memory plus battle evidence inside separate files, "shared doctrine does not establish the seated figure’s complete identity."

The distant authority connected to the armor remained a possible source, although the Fragment supplied no face, name, domain, or complete frequency for comparison. Hajin left every missing field open instead of granting the enemy a title from one matching argument.

The dead core frequency collapsed inside Phase Lock after its local authority disappeared. Hajin corrected one empty rotation before recognizing there was no hostile current left to preserve.

He released the technique from the Legendary Chain, allowing its links to return to ordinary gold. The synchronized phases vanished without remaining inside the weapon or becoming a permanent enchantment.

Gold-purple light withdrew from Hajin’s right shoulder toward his wrist as the last correction ended. Every Goddess Resonance line returned to dull gray beneath reddened skin, leaving the earlier burn widened through the upper pathway route.

[ Phase Lock released ]

[ Sampled Witness Avatar frequency: preserved as record / inactive ]

[ Right forearm pathways: burned ]

[ Right shoulder pathways: burned ]

[ Phase Lock availability: unavailable for the remainder of the day ]

[ Four-Ring output continuation: unsafe ]

Hajin closed the fourth Ring first, followed by the other three after the broken armor stopped moving. No mana refill, healing pulse, or Fragment projection followed their disappearance from the coronation room.

Juna reached him before the Chain slipped from his burned right hand. She secured the weapon with one claw, then let Aria return it to inventory without pulling against his injured shoulder.

Vella entered with gold mana after the vanished hierarchy reopened the servant boundary behind her. Gold diagnostic mana traveled through direct contact from Hajin’s wrist toward the shoulder while her unavailable violet reserve remained untouched.

"The pathways are burned without a foreign command remaining inside them," she said, withdrawing before her gold current encouraged another resonance response, "gray means rest today, not permission to test the lock again."

"Aria already removed it from today’s options," Hajin replied, allowing Juna to retighten the cooling wrap, "I was not planning another demonstration for the archive council."

"Then you may survive to disappoint them tomorrow," Vella said, fastening the upper shoulder strip, "try using that rare discipline before your arm chooses for you."

Didi remained beside the broken procession shell while frost receded from her three strained Shards. Her hostile royal-claimant label had vanished with the Witness law, granting no Crown status beyond the room that invented it.

Loccy sat upon the stabilized floor with both numb arms resting across her knees. All three Wings had closed after Ferra certified the archive supports, leaving her progress below the fourth-Wing threshold.

Ferra separated ordinary Crown plate from the inert incarnation metal inside the destroyed shell. She sealed the divine material beneath her own forge custody while placing every royal armor fragment under the archive councilor’s existing inventory numbers.

{Witness Avatar material: secured for divine-frequency investigation.}

{Coronation and ceremonial armor fragments: Crown archive custody.}

{Common royal ward pin: Ferra technical custody / royal recorder seal required.}

{Mortal remains recovered: none.}

The Fragment settled at fifteen percent without producing the Goddess’s voice or another living projection. Hajin kept the broken memory, a gray right arm, plus one unnamed seated god whose missing face still believed rank entitled a hand to own every soul beneath it.
