Chapter 212 Our Zenith Life

Seraphina’s POV

Many years have passed since I made that promise to Julian that I would never run from him again.

I stood on the balcony of our Fang House, the exact spot where loneliness used to consume me. The morning sunlight felt gentle against my face. Age has touched me, but strength flows through my veins now more than it ever did when I was young. My heart finally knows what peace feels like.

The pack stirred to life below me. We had grown so much larger since announcing our union with the Nebula pack. Wolves from distant territories sought sanctuary with us, drawn to what had become one of the most powerful alliances in existence.

Heavy breathing echoed from the training grounds. I didn’t need my White Wolf abilities to recognize those sounds. I made my way downstairs, passing through the kitchen where warm bread and coffee scents always made this place feel like home, then headed outside to the training area.

Julian stood there in the center. He remained the most beautiful man I had ever laid eyes on. Ironridge threads now touched his temples, but his shoulders carried the same commanding width and his gaze held that familiar intensity. A young man who mirrored his appearance perfectly sparred with him.

It still amazes me that I carried this boy for all those months only to have him emerge as his father’s exact duplicate. If he didn’t inherit my stubborn personality, I might have questioned the whole process.

Theo had come of age now. Height, strength, and speed defined him. He moved with natural Alpha presence, his wooden training sword cutting through air with precision.

"Again!" Julian commanded, deflecting Theo’s strike. "Stop relying only on your arms, Theo. Engage your core. Leadership requires stability."

Theo brushed sweat from his brow and flashed that familiar troublemaker smile he’d worn since childhood. "I’m doing my best, Dad! You move too quickly."

Between our two children, Theo would definitely challenge his father’s patience soon, and I looked forward to watching it unfold. I knew Julian secretly enjoyed it too.

"Age doesn’t mean weakness," Julian replied with amusement.

I observed them quietly. Pride swelled in my chest until it felt ready to overflow. Theo had prepared himself well. Fang meetings, territory management, member welfare - he’d learned it all. Kindness lived in his heart just as I’d hoped. But when he fought, that familiar white flash appeared in his eyes. The White Wolf power lay dormant beneath his Alpha strength. He would surpass every Alpha the Zenith Fang had ever known.

"Mom!" Theo spotted me and rushed over for an enthusiastic, sweaty embrace. "Did you catch that? I nearly had him!"

"I saw everything," I laughed, smoothing his disheveled hair. "You improve every day."

"His first solo patrol approaches," Julian said, joining us and sliding his arm around my waist. His lips brushed my temple, sending familiar tingles across my skin even after all these years. Theo’s disgusted expression made me chuckle. I couldn’t wait for him to find his mate and understand this feeling, though I pitied the poor girl who would have to handle this wild boy.

"Where did Elena go?" I asked.

"She traveled to the Nebula territory border," Julian explained. "The elders requested a meeting with her. She takes her responsibilities very seriously."

Elena had also come of age, but she differed completely from Theo. Where Theo brought noise and energy, Elena offered quiet depth. She divided her time between our home and the Nebula pack, already conducting small ceremonies there.

The Nebula pack members cherished her. She resembled me more as she grew older, which pleased me since at least one child inherited my appearance. Her behavior, however, definitely came from her father.

"She’ll make an excellent Alpha," I said softly.

"She already is one," Julian agreed.

The afternoon brought us to the pack center where a large festival was taking place.

Roxanne and Caleb sat at an extended table surrounded by their three children - two boys and a little girl with Roxanne’s bright blonde hair. Roxanne looked radiant. The bitterness that once marked her features had vanished completely. She now directed the orphanage, and pack children adored her.

Caleb gazed at her with pure devotion. He commanded our combined warrior forces, but with Roxanne, he transformed into simply a loving husband. Their own struggles had strengthened their mate bond.

"Seraphina! Come here!" Roxanne called, waving me over.

We joined them and spent time as sisters discussing children and pack gossip. The past stayed buried where it belonged. Our conversation focused on future possibilities.

"The Council delivered another letter," Caleb whispered, leaning closer. "They’re asking if Elena and Theo will attend this year’s High Summit."

I smiled. The Council no longer issued demands. They made requests. They understood that the Zenith and Nebula alliance represented the strongest force in our world. Respect came from necessity, but also from witnessing our positive impact.

"They’ll attend," I said. "And demonstrate that White Wolf bloodline deserves honor, not fear."

I wanted my children to experience normal lives, not exist as myths or targets. Being White Wolves didn’t make them different from anyone else.

As sunset approached, Julian and I left the celebration seeking quiet moments together. We climbed the mountain path we’d hiked when the children were small, reaching the summit where everything spread before us.

"Do you regret returning all those years ago?" Julian asked quietly.

I laughed. "I regret leaving initially. We could have had this much sooner."

Julian drew me close, his arms encircling me. "Leaving was the right choice. I was foolish then. Everything that happened led us to this moment."

"We were both foolish," I said. "But we learned from it. We stayed together and built our family."

I gazed across the horizon. Energy from both packs pulsed through my blood. I felt my children’s strength and my husband’s love.

My story began with a frightened girl who feared her own shadow. A girl who ran because she believed herself inadequate. I had been victim, runner, and survivor. Now I was complete.

I am Seraphina. I am mother, wife, and mate. I am Mother Luna of two worlds.

"This is a beautiful life, Julian," I whispered.

"It’s an eternal life, Seraphina," he replied.

We remained there at the world’s peak, watching the moon ascend. Full, white, and magnificent, it symbolized everything we had fought to achieve. No matter what future years might bring, our light would never dim.
