Ling Shuyan faltered for a moment, her smile disappearing.

Lin Feng shook his head.
"No, this has nothing to do with the quantity or quality of the Tier Two Zerg Eggs. I need your technical support."
Ling Shuyan frowned slightly, but she quickly understood.
"Mr. Lin, you want to get involved in the Gene Augmentation Project to build your own team of Supermen?"
Lin Feng nodded in confirmation.
"You said you wanted to work with me, didn’t you? So how could I not get involved in a research project that could change the course of the future?"
"Tell headquarters to send me a few samples of every type of Superpower Gene stem cell they’ve collected. Once I reach Tier Three, I’ll pay them a personal visit."
A flicker of surprise crossed Ling Shuyan’s face.
Even if Lin Feng hadn’t brought this up, she was planning to use this opportunity to pressure headquarters anyway. By acting as the intermediary, she could gain more influence and get involved in the project herself.
She just hadn’t expected Lin Feng to be so interested in it himself.

Many of them were so eager they wanted to test the strength of their modified bodies immediately.
They quickly dressed and put on their gear, planning to go outside to spar.
Ling Shuyan reminded them with a smile,
"Gentlemen, the adjacent analysis building has a fully equipped diagnostics center. You all need to head over there for a systematic physical exam. The reports will also give you a detailed understanding of the changes to your Physical Strength."
"You will also be briefed on the operational protocols for Genetic Warriors and the key points for activating Assimilation. Please head over there now."
The men immediately looked to Lin Feng, their Legion Commander and the supreme Commander of the Thirteenth Division.
Only after Lin Feng gave a slight nod did they follow the staff away from the surgical floor and toward the analysis building.
Although Lin Feng knew Ling Shuyan’s extra step was just a pretext to collect physical data on the Genetic Warriors, he also needed professionals to explain the key aspects of Genetic Assimilation to them to prevent any incidents of over-assimilation.
When lunchtime arrived, Ling Shuyan instructed the medical staff from the operating rooms to head to the cafeteria for a break.
She then led Lin Feng and Ling Yi to a small dining room on the second floor of the cafeteria, where they had a rather sumptuous lunch.
The spread included fresh catch from the Great River and mountain game like wild boar, which had become overpopulated in Old Mountain Nature Park in recent years.
Although supplies at the temporary base in Jin City were extremely scarce, Han Yuxin did everything she could to supply the research institute. Most of the best provisions were sent here to ensure their research could proceed without a hitch.
After the meal, Lin Feng planned to leave in the afternoon. He was heading to the Jin City North District to find Liu Yueqi and, in doing so, resolve some of his questions about the future.

After Lin Feng had eaten his fill, he left in a jeep, leaving the two women to look at each other.
Ling Shuyan looked at Ling Yi with a wide smile.
"Miss Lin, and your relationship with Mr. Lin is...?"
Ling Yi raised an eyebrow.
"No relation. We might have been from the same family five hundred years ago."
"But speaking of which, Director Ling, the Superpower you’ve awakened seems rather rare, doesn’t it?"
