The North District was once a subordinate county, but it was incorporated into the city as a district when the metropolitan area expanded.
But the locals still habitually called it a county.
Lin Feng nodded.
"Alright. Everyone stand back. I’ll give it a try."
As he spoke, he activated the Flying Tiger Armor on his vambrace, shifting it into its Full Body Armor state before walking forward.
With just one hand, he shoved the ten-plus-ton dump truck straight into the roadside field.
This left the subordinate behind him, who had been about to remind him that the parking brake was still on, utterly speechless.
Lin Feng, however, felt nothing.
At his level of Tier Two Peak, he could unleash nearly a hundred tons of power under extreme conditions. A regular charged punch could land with sixty to seventy tons of force.
He could destroy any man-made object with no problem at all, just like a Tiger Spine Zerg.
He then raised his right fist and swung at the next dump truck blocking the road. This charged punch sent the entire truck flying.
A massive crater formed where his fist landed, and a gaping hole was torn open at the point of impact.
Propelled by the force of the impact, the entire truck skipped like a stone across the water. It bounced a few times over the rice paddy before finally crashing below a field ridge over a hundred meters away with a thunderous BOOM.
The truck was now a mangled wreck, twisted and bent inward toward the point of impact, completely unrecognizable.
After testing his power, Lin Feng nodded in satisfaction.
For a Tier Two Peak Awakener, easily finishing off a Tier Two Early Stage Tiger Spine Zerg with a single punch was a given. The gap between the different stages of Tier Two was much greater than the gap between the Middle and Late Stages of Tier One.
And the gap to Tier Three, the level above Tier Two, was even greater.
Having completed his little test, Lin Feng didn’t waste any more of his precious energy. The calories from his lunch weren’t even enough to cover that single punch.
The further one progressed, the more a powerhouse with absolute strength had to be judicious about when to act.
After clearing the roadblock, Lin Feng glanced at the stunned crowd behind him and returned to his jeep.
"Lead the way!"
The subordinate in the lead vehicle finally tore his eyes away from the mangled dump truck, snapping back to his senses and hastily starting the engine.
Before long, the group reached the outskirts of a small town. The fields lining the road gave way to detached houses and small villas.
Soon enough, Lin Feng used his Mind Sensing and the keen perception of a Tier Two Awakener to detect a large number of survivors living in the town ahead.
The closest were inside a self-built home just a hundred meters away.
"Stop the car."
Lin Feng said calmly, stepping on the brake.
Han Yuxin quickly waved her hand, signaling the rest of the convoy.
Once the convoy had stopped, he got out of his jeep. He took in the worn-down surroundings, which reminded him of the countryside from his memories.
"Come on out. I know you’re in there!"
Lin Feng shouted.
He remembered the young woman’s scent.
As a Tier Two Awakener, all his senses had evolved to their peak; the olfactory cells in his nose were even more sensitive than a dog’s.
And soon, after Lin Feng’s call...
A young woman in a black tracksuit emerged slowly from a narrow alley between the self-built village houses to the left.
Two months had passed since they last met. The Liu Yueqi who stood before him had lost her former innocence and naivety. Though her tenacity remained, her sallow face was now etched with ferocity and vigilance.
"Has the front line at Wu City collapsed?!"
Staring at the group before her, the young woman gripped the hilt of the blade at her hip, her muscles tense.
Lin Feng smiled.
"Not yet, but it will be soon."
"What about the others? Your aunt, Liu Ruojiao, and the relatives you were looking for in Jin City..."
At the mention of that name, Liu Yueqi’s calm facade wavered. Her gaze grew distant for a moment, and then her expression darkened.
"..."
