Chapter 696 - 652 Coping 3

May, Year Four of the New Calendar.

The Great Spirit recalled all external expedition armies.

The Spirit Court announced to the world a unified decree named the Blood Sharing Order.

The general statement was: The alchemists of the Royal Alchemy Court have researched a special mystical method that can extend the lifespan of everyone.

The Spirit Emperor, in his mercy, ordered the alchemists to spread the mystical method across the world, allowing everyone to share, every citizen of the Great Spirit to share.

At first, this claim was met with skepticism.

Who in this day and age would discover such a method for extending life and not keep it for themselves?

It was simply absurd.

But as the Daoists of the Human Immortal Dao stepped forward and aided in promoting the authenticity of this mystical method.

The citizens of the Great Capital were the first to witness and understand the origins of this mystical method.

It still originated from the Human Immortal Dao.

Thus, the first batch of noble Spirit People who knew the inside story began a complete Bloodline transformation.

With numerous Bloodlines from the Celestial Character Institute acting together, the transformation was soon completed.

The resulting effects drove those who witnessed it firsthand utterly mad.

The Bloodline, akin to a virus, began to rapidly spread and expand.

The originally sky-blue map of the Great Spirit Empire was quickly stained red, starting from the Great Capital.

In just half a month, the red color fully radiated to all territories, every inch, every corner.

By adopting the method of spreading the Bloodline, those unwilling to accept transformation became fundamentally a different class, existing on a different level from the Bloodline.

In such circumstances, no one dared not accept.

Even the traditionally reserved Confucians, after silent protests a few times, could only reluctantly accept the reality.

All Grandmasters, Grandmaster Level experts, were gathered within the imperial palace and personally transformed into a generation of Bloodline by Zhang Rongfang.

So convenient for control.

Those weaker were freely dispersed and spread across layers.

After completing the transformation of the most elite group of experts, Zhang Rongfang plunged headlong into the exploration of the celestial canopy.

Under the celestial canopy, the in-between layer.

A large mass of blood clouds carried Zhang Rongfang floating in mid-air, quietly gazing up at the writhing celestial canopy.

’You’re still not giving up?’ White Scale asked in confusion.

’There are still two methods I haven’t tried.’

Zhang Rongfang raised his hand, having contemplated and researched for a long time, he finally had some confidence now.

Whoosh.

His right hand’s finger automatically broke off, like an arrow, flying straight towards the celestial canopy.

As the finger reached halfway, it suddenly exploded, transforming into peculiar curved silver-white lines scattering.

’That is....!!? Spiritual Line!!? You actually...?!’ White Scale was instantly stunned.

Previously, she marveled internally at Zhang Rongfang’s ability to simulate anything, but wasn’t amazed.

But now, seeing him even simulate Spiritual Line, she was completely at a loss for words.

’It’s nothing, the composition of Spiritual Line is traceable, most of it being metal alloys, combined with proteins and such....’ Zhang Rongfang started talking about things she couldn’t understand again.

He tracked the Spiritual Line he simulated with his gaze.

The Spiritual Line flew closer and closer.

Until finally, it lightly bumped into the celestial canopy with a soft thud.

Still useless.

The celestial canopy remained unmoved, just like before.

’White Scale, you try it.’ Zhang Rongfang said in a deep voice. He retrieved the ejected Spiritual Line, allowing it to return to its flesh form.

"Well..... alright!" White Scale felt her current role was becoming increasingly insignificant, a bit uncomfortable.

Originally, she was a little afraid of the celestial canopy, but.... if she couldn’t even accomplish this task, would she be completely useless in the future?

After all, there’s Red Ye....

She gritted her teeth and decided to make a move.

Underneath a dispersing white mist, she abruptly leaped forth from a small divine icon carried by Zhang Rongfang.

The entrance to the Void opened, and in mid-air, a gigantic white one-eyed python flew out, charging towards the celestial canopy.

Bang.

She similarly collided with the celestial canopy, her entire serpentine body nearly mashed together, pressed against the surface of the celestial canopy.

"Still not working?" Zhang Rongfang frowned.

"No! There is an effect!" White Scale suddenly exclaimed.

She withdrew her body, suspended before the celestial canopy, intensely staring at the shallow indentation above.

The indentation seemed to manifest automatically upon sensing her presence.

But this indentation was too small, too inconspicuous to be clearly seen.

By now, Zhang Rongfang also flew closer, seeing the indentation.

Under normal circumstances, the celestial canopy would automatically heal all marks.

Yet this indentation persisted here unwaveringly.

"I’ll start to retreat and test." White Scale said loudly, trying to fly further away.

Indeed, as she increased the distance, the indentation automatically healed and vanished.

"So, this celestial canopy indeed only allows deities and gods to pass through...." White Scale marveled.

Zhang Rongfang remained silent for a moment.

"Then why could you only trigger such a shallow indentation?"

"I....." White Scale felt it wasn’t her fault. Surely the celestial canopy had some other recognition method.

Zhang Rongfang didn’t waste words, a blood lotus unfolded behind him.

A ray of blood light shot forth, transforming into a dense blood cloud.

Inside the blood cloud, a figure sitting atop a black whirlpool with five eyes slowly emerged.

It was the Blood God!!

The Blood God revealed a hint of a frenzied smile, with the whites of his five eyes all glowing white, and only the pupils forming black vortices.

He flew straight towards the celestial barrier.

Before getting too close, a pit gradually appeared on the surface of the barrier.

This time the pit was significantly deeper than with the white-scaled one. Although it wasn’t yet at the level of automatically parting to make way, it already proved one fact.

"Looks like you’re just too weak," Zhang Rongfang said speechlessly.

From this, it’s clear not all deities can leave at will; those deities allowed to leave clearly have a significant requirement on strength.

When the Moon God flew out, it seemed easy, but that was only because his strength was overwhelmingly great, concealing any effort.

It could be said that this celestial barrier is a restrictor; even if one has the authority to leave, the weak don’t have the strength to do so.

"What now? There aren’t any more powerful deities left...." White Scales said helplessly.

The Blood God was stronger than her, yet this was it?

"This celestial barrier is a setup to protect our interaction zone; it cannot be destroyed. Only intelligence can prevail."

Zhang Rongfang, with enhanced mental faculties, had countless thoughts flashing in his mind.

Suddenly, he shook both arms, taking back both the Blood God and White Scales.

"How about this?"

He waved his hand and separated one of his fingers.

The finger flew towards the celestial barrier, quickly transforming into a cluster of red spiritual lines.

In such a short time, he even managed to simulate the red spiritual lines.

’White Scales, one more time.’

’Alright!’

In an instant, white mist dispersed, and a one-eyed white serpent shot out, once again pouncing towards the celestial barrier.

During the serpent’s flight, the red spiritual lines emanating from Zhang Rongfang attached to her body, forming something akin to patterns.

Boom!

The second time.

White Scales slammed into the celestial barrier.

But this time, the reaction from the surface of the barrier was much more evident; the pit was far deeper than before.

’There is hope!’ Zhang Rongfang’s eyes sharpened, "White Scales, open your mouth!!"

Ah!?

White Scales looked baffled but instinctively obeyed and opened her mouth.

Suddenly, a point of red light shot fiercely into her mouth, and then, as if alive, burrowed into her abdomen.

"!?!? What just crawled into my mouth!???" she exclaimed in horror.

’Don’t shout, it’s me!’ Zhang Rongfang’s voice echoed from her stomach. ’Let’s try together again, this time focus on collaboration!’

Due to the Blood Lotus, Zhang Rongfang and the deities connected to him had intertwined and deeply entangled auras.

Blending into one was effortless.

Therefore, if executed well, he could completely simulate White Scales’ power lines, pretending to be a part of her organs.

"Ah! It can work this way??" White Scales looked stunned.

She suddenly transformed into a human form, touching her lower abdomen... feeling somewhat odd...

"You won’t... just stay in there forever, right???"

"Enough nonsense, try again!" Zhang Rongfang wasn’t going to indulge her delusional comments and ordered directly.

"But what if I can’t get married in the future?" White Scales hesitated.

"As if you could get married before, anyway, get started!" Zhang Rongfang retorted.

White Scales was left speechless, then once again approached the celestial barrier.

"Get ready." Suddenly, Zhang Rongfang’s voice echoed again.

Before she could understand what "get ready" meant, in an instant, an immense, terrifying divine power expanded and filled her from within.

Ah!!!

She suddenly felt her whole body start to swell, ignite, and boil.

Her body reverted to serpent form, then rapidly expanded as if being inflated, growing from its original length of several meters to over a hundred meters, with ten or more meters in thickness.

And it didn’t stop there! It kept enlarging!

Soon!

Two hundred meters! Three hundred meters! Four hundred meters!!

Finally, the transformation of White Scales slowly came to a halt.

By then, she had become a terrifying beast over four hundred meters long and more than thirty meters thick.

Having received such an immensely terrifying power boost for the first time, White Scales hung dazedly in the sky, at a loss.

But soon, she quickly adjusted to the pleasantly intoxicating feeling.

"Hahaha!!! I! White Scales!! Devouring the heavens and earth!!!"

She let out an earth-shattering roar.

The surrounding atmospheric layers were swept up in massive vortices, dancing as her body moved.

"Hurry to the celestial barrier! Fool!!" Zhang Rongfang interrupted her with irritation.

He didn’t simulate and modify all his power to mimic White Scales’ spiritual lines just for her theatrics.

"Ah!? Oh...." White Scales was abruptly pulled out of her dream state, her high-spirited mood coming to an immediate pause.

"Can’t I just enjoy it for a second? Okay, okay."

Without any hesitation, she charged headlong towards the celestial barrier.

This time, she hadn’t even gotten close when she saw the barrier begin to automatically split apart to form a passage.

Just like when Zhang Rongfang had watched the Moon God depart with his own eyes.

"It’s working!" she exclaimed in delight.

"Then go. Don’t be afraid, keep pushing forward!" Zhang Rongfang stated in a deep voice.

White Scales immediately bit her lip, suppressing her inner fear. With Zhang Rongfang’s backing, and the seemingly endless power continuously supporting her, she felt an unparalleled sense of security.

She closed her eyes and rushed headlong into the passage.
