Chapter 166

Alina’s POV

"Wait, you are an Alpha? How is that even possible?" Sammy asked, his face twisting with total confusion.

"I will explain later, okay? For now, I want you both to answer me. What the hell did Ilya use my blood for?" I asked, panic rising thick in my tone.

"Oh Alina, no matter what happened, you shouldn’t have given it to her," Lucian said, his voice laced with deep concern. He stepped closer to me. "I told you she has always been power-hungry. Now that you have given her what she wants, it might be so hard to fucking stop her." Worry rolled off him in waves.

"What the hell can I do?" I asked, my chest tightening.

"Nothing. Please don’t do anything, okay? We will handle it, that’s a promise," Lucian said firmly.

"Lucian is right, sis," Sammy added, shaking his head. "I don’t think you should get involved in any of this. I still find it crazy that you are an Alpha. Is this even possible?" He was still completely baffled.

"We have to go now. Alina, please stay here and don’t go anywhere, okay?" Lucian said.

I just nodded my head, watching them leave the room.

I really hoped I hadn’t caused too much damage before a solution could be found. I knew Ilya was not to be trusted, but I had been so fucking desperate. What do I do now?

"You shouldn’t do anything," my wolf spoke up in my mind. "Lucian will take care of it."

"What if he doesn’t? What if he needs my help? What then?" I argued back in my thoughts.

She replied that I did not need to worry and must stay out of it.

"Fine," I muttered aloud.

I waited in the room, pacing around for hours on end. There was still absolutely no news from them. My anxiety grew with every passing minute. Suddenly, a knock sounded on the door. Excitement flared in my chest, and I rushed to pull it open, expecting Lucian or Sammy.

Instead, my heart skipped a beat as I saw Michael standing there.

"Is there a problem? Are they alright?" I asked, panic lacing my tone instantly.

"You don’t have to worry, they are fine," Michael said gently, his voice full of concern. "I just wanted to check on you and see how you are doing."

"Okay then, will baby Leo be coming back here?" Michael asked, tilting his head slightly.

"He is with his father, so not today," I said, trying to keep my voice steady despite the growing anxiety in my chest.

"Okay, but I am worried that he is with him," Michael said, his brow furrowing deeply. "He made the decision to cut us off from everything in society. What if he doesn’t give you back your son just to punish you even more?" Concern bled through every word he spoke.

"That’s not going to happen. You don’t have to worry," I insisted, shaking my head. I looked at him closely. "Do you have any idea when they will be back or where they went to?"

Michael didn’t give me a response immediately. He shifted his weight, his eyes darting away from mine. I clench my jaw. This silence only meant one thing—he knew exactly where they were.

"You should rest. I will be back later," he said abruptly.

Before I could demand an answer, he stepped back out into the hallway and shut the door.

I let out a heavy sigh, running my hands over my face. I just couldn’t relax here. The pack was blacklisted, Ilya had my Alpha blood, and everyone was in danger. I needed to do something, at least to help the situation.

Fuck this. I can’t stay here.

I marched over to the window, determined to slip out and find Lucian myself. But the moment my fingers brushed the frame, a sharp, violent shock zipped straight through my hand.

"What the fuck!" I gasped, ripping my hand back as fear flooded my veins. My skin stung, and my heart hammered against my ribs.

"You can’t leave, even if you try," my wolf’s voice echoed in my mind, sounding grim and unsurprised.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I asked aloud, staring at my trembling hand.

A sickening realization washed over me. Did Lucian do this? Did he trap me in my own room just to stop me from leaving?

"Now this has got me so fucked up. What if something actually happens to them?" I muttered to myself, the anxiety burning like acid in my stomach.

I turned around, marched over to the bedroom door, and grabbed the handle. I rattled it hard, but it didn’t budge an inch.

"The fuck! It’s locked," I snapped, my voice thick with pure frustration.

They must have known exactly how stubborn I am. They knew I would try to follow them the second their backs were turned, so they trapped me here like a prisoner. Now what the hell do I do? I can’t just sit here and act weak while the rest of my pack is out there dealing with a mess I helped create. I need to do something.

"Just sit down," my wolf pleaded softly in my head, her tone heavy with exhaustion. "Going out there will only make matters worse. You need to trust him."

I stared at the locked door, my chest heaving as I fought the urge to throw my shoulder against the wood. Maybe she was right. Maybe running blindly into whatever trap Ilya or the mob had set would just give Lucian one more thing to worry about.

"Fine," I whispered out loud into the empty room. "I will just try and sit down first."

I walked back over to the bed, my muscles tense, and forced myself to sit on the edge of the mattress. I stared down at my hands, counting the seconds, trying to ignore the suffocating silence of the room and the terrifying unknown waiting outside.
