Shen Yibin immediately asked the Future Pet Shop, and it quickly replied, "After upgrading to a Level 2 Business Partner, your commission rate increases to twenty-five percent. Therefore, from this payment of 77,777.77, you will receive 19,444.44. Adding the previous remaining commission balance of 3,307.90 after the upgrade, your total commission balance is now 22,752.34. Once your total accumulated commission balance reaches 200,000, you can upgrade to a Level 1 Business Partner. Keep up the good work!"
’A twenty-five percent commission means I only need to make 800,000 in sales to accumulate 200,000.’ That didn’t seem so high when he thought about it that way. Shen Yibin relaxed a little. "So, what changes will there be after the next upgrade?"
’Upgrading to a Level 2 Business Partner let me own two pets, so will upgrading to Level 1 let me own three or even four? And Level 2 added the pet shop with all these amazing items. What will Level 1 bring?’ Shen Yibin couldn’t help but let his imagination run wild.
"You’ll find out when the time comes." Unfortunately, the Future Pet Shop refused to elaborate. After that single sentence, it went silent, leaving Shen Yibin feeling quite vexed.
Luckily, Shen Yibin was already used to the Future Pet Shop’s ways. He said nothing more, put his phone down, and prepared for bed. He had just one thought before drifting off to sleep: ’I just hope they don’t shorten the time limit for selling a pet to one month.’
The next morning at breakfast, Shen Yibin noticed a clear change in Xiaoliu’s attitude. The monkey seemed much more affectionate toward him. ’Is this what happens after I officially buy him?’ he wondered.
"Xiaoliu, want to come out and play today? I’ll take you to see Hah’Er film his movie?" ’It’s not good to keep the little guy cooped up in the shop all the time,’ Shen Yibin thought. ’Since he’s officially mine now, he’ll definitely be more obedient. That being the case, it shouldn’t be a problem to take him out for a bit, right?’
"SQUEAK! SQUEAK!" Xiaoliu grew incredibly excited, nodding its head over and over. It even started eating its fruit much faster, as if it couldn’t wait to get out the door.
"Hah’Er, bring Maphario with you!" ’If we’re going out, we might as well all go together.’ Shen Yibin then turned his gaze to Cheeky, who was eating a fig salad. "Cheeky, want to come along?"
"Uh..." Cheeky seemed tempted for a moment, but it glanced at Sun Qian and changed its mind. "Nope. I’m staying home with Qianqian." ’This guy is still most attached to his owner,’ Shen Yibin thought.
"Alright, you stay here with her, then. I’ll bring you back a treat later." ’He was never this obedient back at the shop,’ Shen Yibin mused. ’It really makes a difference when they find an owner.’
After breakfast, Shen Yibin drove out with the three critters. Upon arriving at the filming location, Xiaoliu grabbed Maphario and dashed into the jungle to have some fun. Having witnessed Xiaoliu’s Swordsmanship, Shen Yibin wasn’t too worried about their safety. He let the pair go have a blast while he took Hah’Er to continue with the day’s shoot.
When it was time for lunch, Xiaoliu returned with Maphario. The four employees from the animal protection organization couldn’t help but click their tongues in amazement at how harmoniously the three animals got along. ’Mr. Bin really is an amazing person,’ they thought. ’We have no idea how he managed to get a Panda, a monkey, and a hamster to become such good friends.’
Shen Yibin simply smiled without saying a word. ’It’s best not to carelessly reveal the existence of something as miraculous as the Future Pet Shop. I’m really enjoying my life right now and don’t want to be disturbed.’
"Bin, how about we give these two a role in the sequel?" Director Kong brought up the old topic again. He was hoping every second of every day that Shen Yibin would agree to the filming plan for the *Panda Hero* sequel.
"Hah’Er has been too tired lately. Let’s wait a while before discussing it!" Shen Yibin was unwilling to work Hah’Er so hard. ’Filming a movie and doing all the promotional work afterward is exhausting. From my perspective, even one movie a year is a bit much. A sequel can definitely wait.’
"Mr. Bin, you truly are a caring gentleman," Katrina and the others praised from the heart. On this point, they stood on the same side as Shen Yibin.
"Well, let’s have the two of them watch from the sidelines this afternoon. Maybe they’ll take an interest in filmmaking," Director Kong said, trying a new tack after his first one failed. ’If the monkey and the hamster show interest first, Shen Yibin probably won’t have anything to say about it, right?’
So that afternoon, Xiaoliu and Maphario sat on the sidelines, each holding an ice cream, watching Hah’Er fight in front of the camera while dressed in his Golden Chain Armor. Xiaoliu would let out a squeak or two from time to time, as if disgusted by how clumsy Hah’Er’s movements were. ’He has absolutely no combat ability at all.’
When filming wrapped up, Shen Yibin took the three of them for a stroll in the forest, not heading back until nightfall. He skipped tennis for the day, but back at the shop, he still had to practice his Swordsmanship. The training exercise changed from thrusting to an upward flick; Hah’Er and Cheeky would toss fruit at him, and Shen Yibin had to swing his bamboo branch from a low position upward to bat the fruit out of the air. This new exercise further increased the difficulty.
And so it went. He spent his days taking the three critters to the film set and his evenings practicing Swordsmanship back at the shop. Three days passed like this, and at last, the final day of filming arrived.
Today, Shen Yibin sensed that the atmosphere on set was distinctly different. A look of reluctance to part could be seen in everyone’s eyes. They had spent so much time together and had gotten along quite well; it was only natural they’d developed a bond. With their separation now imminent, everyone felt a little sad.
After Hah’Er struck a few cool poses to defeat his opponent, Director Kong shot to his feet. "And that’s a wrap on the final shot! I hereby declare that filming for *Panda Hero* is officially finished!" Thunderous applause erupted. Even Xiaoliu and Maphario mimicked the people around them, clapping their little paws together.
"Everyone has worked so hard! I’ve had the hotel prepare a wrap party for us. Tonight, we’re not leaving until we’re drunk!" Director Kong didn’t waste any words, getting straight to the point and announcing the plan for the celebration.
"Sigh, once we leave, who knows when I’ll get to see Hah’Er again. I’m really going to miss him," Murong Li said, her eyes rimmed with red. "I’m definitely having a good drink with you later! Er, if you can’t drink, we’ll just have Bin take your place!" Fang Yun, Fang Yuanshan, and the other crew members all nodded in agreement.
’What the hell?’ Shen Yibin was already breaking out in a cold sweat. ’Are they planning to drink me to death tonight? Somebody save me!’
