Giovanni's pov.
I was going through some documents in the office when I heard a knock and the door swung open, Nick stuck his head in with a cheeky smile on his face.
" Boo." He screamed, walking in.
Ugh!, Not again.
" Boo, I have missed you so much." Nick said taking a seat across from me, he knew how much I hated him calling me that yet he does it anyway to annoy the hell out of me.
" Will you stop calling me that.?" I grunt out. " I thought you were traveling the world, when did you get back.
" Got back yesterday, my dad is calling for a family meeting of some sort." He answered nonchalantly. " And about me not calling you boo, it's never going to happen.
I rolled my eyes at his childish tactics, not in the mood to argue with him because I knew it was going to be fruitless. This wasn't the first time I had asked him to stop calling me that but Nick is just filled with all kinds of stubbornness.
" How is Roy and my favorite godson doing?" Nick asked, playing around with the ring in his fingers.
" They are both fine." I replied, a smile on my face as I thought back to the weekend when we spent a lot of time together as family.
I looked up to see Nick already staring at me, his brows furrowed and I knew he was thinking of something serious. His lips parted and he sighed, still looking at me. I raised a questionable brow at him because it was unlike him to act this serious.
" What is it?" I voiced out, getting tired of the silence. If he had something to say, it's best he does so now.
" Won't you tell her the truth." His question cut me off guard, knowing fully well what he meant.
" No, I think it's best that she doesn't know."
" Come on man, how long do you plan on keeping it from her. It's all going to blow up in your face at this rate." Nick said, agitated. " She needs to know, for her sake and Alexander's."
I shake my head refusing to key into his words. The last thing I wanted was to curse her more pain, the doctor said not to stress her about it. So even though I wanted to tell her so many times I couldn't risk it.
" Gio man, Roy needs to know Alexander is her son. How long do you plan on letting Alexander keep the secret."
I sighed, running myself with both my arms. " I don't know now Nick, I just can't risk it and Alexander understands that."
" There is no denying how much you love Roy and the both of you have been through so much. I know this time your love will prevail like it has always done ." Nick said with all assurance.
The room went silent, I couldn't remember the number of times I tried telling her but then I got so scared by the outcome and how it would affect her. I couldn't lose her again, I lost her before.
Never again.
" You need to tell her Gio, she is your wife and she deserved the truth." Nick said, his voice filled with worry.
" I don't need to tell Roy anything." I voiced out agitated, withholding the huge to hit something.
" She would feel hurt and betrayed if she finds out later." It was silent for a moment before Nick spoke again. " Come on man, it's been a long time. I can't believe you still love her this much."
" Yes I love her, I'm still madly in love with Alexander's mom, I will always love her no matter what. Nothing and no one can ever change the way I feel about her, not now, not ever." Giovanni yelled out, clearly frustrated.
Nick's lips parted and he was about to say something when I heard the sound of something hitting the floor. I wasn't the only one who heard it as Nick and I both looked towards the door to find it slightly open.
I got up from my seat, slowly making my way to the door. When I walked over it, I
stumbled back in shock. At the rate my heart was beating fast, I'm surprised I didn't have a heart attack.
" Amore, just give me a chance. Let me explain." I say, my heart aches when I see the tears flow down her eyes.
How much did she hear?
" Amore." I called out to her but I didn't think she could hear me. "Amore." I raised my hands up to touch her when She shifted back, racing out of the office to the elevator.
" Fuck." I yelled, casting a glare at Nick even though I knew it wasn't his fault still I couldn't help but blame him, if he hadn't started a conversion about all this in the first place, this wouldn't have happened.
I turned back to the door, racing after Roy but before I could get into the elevator the door closed shut. I hurried pressed the key button waiting for it to open, immediately going In. I pressed the 1st button, my heart racing .
When I got out of the elevator, I saw Roy already close to the exit of the company. I raced after her, hoping to get to her but she boarded a cab before I could get to her. Thankfully Alfred was there, so I got in while he drove after the cab.
I kept calling her phone, hoping for her to pick up when the worst thing happened . A truck crashed against the cab at full speed , making the cab stumble, turning upside down. I got out of the car, I felt my body go weak and my eyes blurry as I rushed to where the cab was.
