Zhan Meisen covered her mouth, letting out a husky, coquettish laugh. "With a Tier 7 extract, I believe we’ll soon be able to cultivate the first Star God of the Human Race. We’ll also find out what their innate abilities truly are! If the Human Race turns out to be a race with high talent and potential, our contribution will be immense!"
Deng Sui nodded. "Even if their talent is average, having the Human Race’s gods monopolized by our Nian Race will still be of great value. Under our leadership, we’ve enabled the Human Race to produce a Star God in just a few hundred years. This is definitely a great achievement, and the rewards for everyone present will be substantial!"
In contrast, Marina, who looked full of charm, was not very talkative. With a cold expression, she said flatly, "Enough nonsense. Let’s get moving."
Jiang Pingle nodded. "Let’s go. To the Central Sea!"
...
As soon as the main force of Nian Race experts set out, Su Ze had already beaten them to the Central Sea.
The Magic Cube’s detection system located the Beast King Sponge, still at the bottom of the same ocean trench as before.
It was completely unaware of the impending danger.
Although it was well hidden, Su Ze believed the Nian Race experts had come prepared and would surely find it.
’I have to give it a warning so it can change its fighting position beforehand...’
If the Beast King Sponge remained unaware and just waited here for the Nian Race to come to its doorstep, this place would become the battlefield.
It wouldn’t be easy for Su Ze to steal the Sands of Time right under the noses of a Tier 7 beast and multiple legendary-level experts.
It would be best to lure the battle to another location.
After a moment of thought, Su Ze left the trench where the Beast King Sponge was located and headed toward the coast of Lin Hua Country.
He created more than a dozen doppelgangers, transformed them to look like Jiang Pingle and the others, then released them to begin a large-scale slaughter of Marine Beasts.
A vast electric net spread out, killing thousands of Marine Beasts.
However, he only killed low-tier beasts. He mostly just injured the slightly higher-level ones and let them escape to spread the word.
Su Ze directed his dozen or so doppelgangers to rampage across the seafloor, causing a huge commotion. Countless Tier 3 and even Tier 4 beasts were injured by his hand, and he even wounded a Tier 5 beast.
In the blink of an eye, not a single beast could be seen for miles around Su Ze.
After all this, Su Ze recalled his doppelgangers and returned to the trench where the Beast King Sponge was.
Just then, he saw a Tier 5 beast leading several wounded Tier 4 beasts, swimming back and forth above the trench.
After a short while, a giant Hermit Crab Beast appeared from the bottom of the trench, flying up to converse with the injured beasts.
This was the creepy crab that lived in the Great Sea Shell, the Tier 6 Hermit Crab Beast. It was also the Beast King Sponge’s most trusted subordinate, though it wasn’t very bright.
The few injured beasts followed the Hermit Crab Beast and sank to the bottom of the trench.
A moment later, the injured beasts all swam out of the trench and scattered in all directions, as if fleeing for their lives.
The bottom of the trench returned to calm.
But Su Ze knew that by causing such a ruckus, he had surely alerted the Beast King Sponge.
He waited patiently inside the Magic Cube...
Before long, an undercurrent suddenly surged at the bottom of the calm trench. Sand and silt churned, muddying the water.
The Great Sea Shell, which had been invisible, suddenly appeared. From behind its slightly ajar opening, a pair of creepy, vertical eyes extended.
The Great Sea Shell trembled and moved aside, revealing the area below that was protected by an Energy Shield.
Beneath the Energy Shield, a yellow mass pulsed continuously—it was a sponge about half the size of a person!
The sponge shot out of the Energy Shield and vanished in an instant.
The Hermit Crab Beast moved, dragging the Great Sea Shell back to cover the area protected by the Energy Shield, and became invisible once more.
Su Ze didn’t immediately go to collect the Sands of Time under the Great Sea Shell. He controlled the Magic Cube, slowly ascending from the bottom of the trench. By now, there was no sign of the Beast King Sponge.
A Tier 7 beast’s strength undergoes a qualitative change. Its speed and other aspects are simply not comparable to those of legendary-level evolvers or Tier 6 beasts.
Even using his Eye of Truth skill, Su Ze couldn’t track the Beast King Sponge’s movements, but the Magic Cube could!
As a Sun God-level Spaceship, its detection system’s power and range were beyond question. The Beast King Sponge had nowhere to hide.
The Beast King Sponge swam deeper into the Central Sea. Even though it was god-level, it wasn’t reckless or arrogant enough to proactively engage the Nian Race experts.
At the same time, the Magic Cube’s sensor display showed that the Nian Race experts, led by Jiang Pingle, had also entered the Central Sea.
The Beast King Sponge had surely discovered Jiang Pingle’s group as well, but it continued to swim in the opposite direction.
’The intelligence of a Tier 7 beast really can’t be underestimated. It actually chose to avoid the fight.’ Su Ze was a little surprised. Faced with a group of legendary and supreme-level evolvers, a mighty god-level beast had actually chosen to flee.
And when it came to speed, Jiang Pingle and the other legendary-levels couldn’t hope to catch up to a Tier 7 beast.
Su Ze was very curious how these Nian Race members planned to handle this situation.
Su Ze didn’t care whether the Beast King Sponge lived or died; he just needed to get the Sands of Time he wanted.
Now that the Beast King Sponge was far from the Sands of Time, Su Ze could make his move on the Hermit Crab Beast once the Nian Race members gave chase.
The Nian Race experts clearly had a way to track the Beast King Sponge, as they never deviated from their course, heading straight for it.
Su Ze hovered above the Nian Race experts, observing their actions.
Jiang Pingle urged, "If we don’t act now, it’ll escape our range! Use the Land Lock!"
