The piercing shriek of the Sponge Beast, originating from the Central Sea, spread across all of Blue Star.
Within the Central Sea, countless Marine Beasts heard the cry and responded in kind. Some rushed straight toward the Beast King Sponge to support their king, but they were all held back by the Land Lock.
The majority of the Marine Beasts, however, launched an assault on the continents!
It was not just the ocean. Beasts on land also responded to the shriek, and the entirety of Blue Star echoed with a continuous, overlapping cacophony of roars.
In the Myriad Beast Mountains, Tier Six Beast Kings began summoning their subordinate beasts.
On the Frozen Ice Field, several Tier Six Snow Apes were mustering their troops.
At Purgatory Volcano, lava erupted, and a deafening roar echoed from within the crater.
In other regions, such as the Blood Earth Forest and the Desolate Desert, countless beasts also gathered and advanced toward the nearest human settlements.
Lin Hua Continent, Flame Emperor Continent, and Snowfield Continent all became targets of the beasts’ assault.
Even the smaller human settlements were not spared.
This was a massive, planet-wide beast tide.
The beasts might not be as intelligent or talented as humans, and they could hardly be called united, but they respected and obeyed the strong.
When the first Tier Seven beast on Blue Star was born, when the sole divine-level beast issued its call to arms, the vast majority of beasts on the planet chose to obey its command.
Besides, attacking humanity was in their best interest. They and humans were enemies to begin with.
It was inevitable that many small, weak, and poorly defended settlements would be annihilated in this beast tide.
Even the three major continents faced immense defensive pressure.
Snowfield Continent and Flame Emperor Continent each had a legendary powerhouse stationed there to handle any emergencies.
Human evolvers were stronger than beasts of the same tier, so a single legendary powerhouse was enough to hold off two or three Tier Six beasts.
Over on Lin Hua Continent, however, Chen Suifeng and the other high-ranking members of the Blue Star Party were cursing up a storm. The continent’s two legendary powerhouses, Jiang Pingle and Deng Sui, had both gone out to hunt Sponge Beasts, leaving no one of their caliber to defend their home.
They suspected the two had done it intentionally, aiming to force Mr. Ke to take action.
Mr. Ke was old and frail. If he were to take action, it would mean his time was up.
They could only do their best to hold on and wait for Jiang Pingle and the others to return from their hunt.
...
Su Ze still had no idea what was happening outside. He had used the Magic Cube for several ramming attacks, which consumed a great deal of its power. Fortunately, he had fully charged the ship beforehand.
The purple Energy Shield was now flickering and on the verge of collapse. Su Ze could clearly see the golden chunks of the Sands of Time below, a sight more thrilling to him than a prospector striking a massive gold vein.
But the Tier Six hermit crab, dragging the Great Sea Shell, rushed out again, positioning itself in front of the purple Energy Shield.
Su Ze left the Magic Cube, transformed into a torrent, and lunged at the hermit crab, knocking it aside.
Mr. Ya, who had piloting authority, took over the Magic Cube. He made it ascend rapidly to create some distance before suddenly accelerating and ramming it into the purple Energy Shield.
With a tremendous CRASH, the entire floor of the trench was obscured by sand and silt. The purple Energy Shield finally buckled under the strain and shattered completely, allowing a dazzling golden light to pierce through the murky water.
Mr. Ya also left the ship and charged toward the Sands of Time. He plunged downward, following the golden light, and began grabbing fist-sized chunks of the Sands of Time to put into his storage item.
Su Ze was still locked in battle with the hermit crab. He had to admit, while the creature looked pathetic and foolish, its strength was no joke.
Its upper body was incredibly hard and its defenses were formidable, a trade-off for its fragile lower body.
The hermit crab’s lower body was extremely fragile, making it a fatal weakness. However, this Tier Six hermit crab had hidden its vulnerable lower half inside a Great Sea Shell.
And in exchange for being brainless, that Great Sea Shell had gained an incredibly tough body and powerful regenerative abilities.
After clashing with the hermit crab for a few moments, Su Ze gave up on trying to kill the creature. ’It’s just too hard to kill!’
Killing the hermit crab would be a battle of attrition, and he might even need to stack his Bloodthirsty skill.
Su Ze decisively used Space Jump to withdraw, joining Mr. Ya to excavate the Sands of Time.
Only the top layer of the Sands of Time was loose; the rest were buried deep within the earth. The soil here was also unusually compact and difficult to dig, clearly different from the surrounding area.
When the hermit crab saw the purple Energy Shield shatter and its treasured Sands of Time being excavated by two shameless thieves, its heart twisted in agony.
It reminded the crab of the two large chunks of the Sands of Time that had been stolen previously. Those had been a gift from its leader, and it had been reluctant to use them, yet they were stolen by shameless thieves.
’These two shameless thieves must be from the same group that stole my Sands of Time before!’
At this thought, the hermit crab flew into a towering rage. Its vertical eyestalks radiated fury, and even its carapace turned red, as if it had been steamed.
Dragging the Great Sea Shell, it charged toward Su Ze once more.
However, Su Ze remotely controlled the Magic Cube to ram into it, knocking it away again.
The Magic Cube hovered above Su Ze and Mr. Ya like a shield, protecting them both.
No matter how the hermit crab attacked, it couldn’t budge the Magic Cube in the slightest.
Su Ze and Mr. Ya could finally excavate in peace. Mr. Ya took out his shovel, Su Ze produced a hoe, and the two of them began to dig.
The soil below was as hard as diamond, with the Sands of Time scattered throughout it.
Fortunately, the farming tools in their hands were hard and sharp enough that digging wasn’t too difficult.
Su Ze then created three clones to help with the digging. The space below was just too limited; otherwise, he would have definitely made more.
