Chapter 485 : We’re Not Eating. There’s a Situation at Home!

Meanwhile, Su Qi's other two wives, Wang Yun and Bai Miao, had arrived at Green City Technology Industrial Park.

Interestingly, when initially searching for a company location, Wang Yun had first considered this very industrial park. However, due to its proximity to Su University, office space here was generally priced at 3.9-4.1 yuan per square meter per day, far exceeding Wang Yun's budget. She had reluctantly abandoned the idea of opening a company here.

Now, standing at the foot of Green City Technology Industrial Park, Wang Yun found it amusing how fate had brought them full circle back to where they started.

Following Bai Miao and the property manager, Wang Yun soon reached the 7th floor they had discussed. Although still uncleaned like days before, Wang Yun was immediately impressed by the spacious lobby.

Having already agreed on investment terms, both Wang Yun and Bai Miao were filled with anticipation for the future of Qi Yun Investment Co., Ltd.. Unlike her previous visit with the "little girl," Bai Miao now viewed the property with a shareholder's eye, seriously discussing potential uses for each room with Wang Yun.

In truth, besides their brief encounter when Su Qi signed the lease, Bai Miao and Wang Yun were merely acquaintances. But as seasoned professionals, both women were now trying to probe each other for information about their relationship with Su Qi while maintaining a harmonious discussion about renovation plans.

The property manager, sensing the underlying situation, decided to intervene. As an experienced manager of three office buildings, he knew how to handle such situations. Noting the heated discussion about renovations, he suggested, "Director Bai, Ms. Wang, shall I contact some renovation companies now?"

Wang Yun didn't object, as long as it wasn't a forced package deal. Bai Miao nodded in agreement, acknowledging the expertise of professional renovators.

The manager, who regularly dealt with renovation companies seeking his recommendations, would typically suggest one or two familiar firms for normal clients. However, given Bai Miao's status as the second-in-command of Su City Green City Group, he couldn't afford to be careless.

He sent a message to a group chat of renovation companies: "600m² office in Green City Technology Industrial Park Building 1, Room 710 needs renovation. All companies please bring professional staff for measurements. Professionalism is key!"

Within seconds, the group chat exploded with responses from various sales representatives.

The manager, after sending the message, pocketed his phone and continued following Bai Miao and Wang Yun, occasionally offering explanations.

Some might wonder if this approach might be seen as a prank by the renovation companies. Such a question underestimates the nature of sales roles, especially in real estate. Salespeople rarely refuse client requests.

Before Wang Yun and Bai Miao could finish touring the office, numerous renovation company representatives began flooding in. They greeted each other amiably, understanding that clients often compare multiple options.

After brief introductions, the renovation teams began their meticulous measurements. Wang Yun, despite her business experience, was surprised by the sudden influx of nearly 50 people.

Bai Miao, having climbed the ranks in real estate, was more accustomed to such scenes. Noting Wang Yun's surprise, she explained, "These salespeople often go long periods without securing a contract. They spend their days advertising online to attract clients. It's a tough job. Even though we'll only choose one company, all who came to measure will receive some compensation from their companies."

Wang Yun found this insight into the sales world fascinating.

As they chatted, the first designer completed a rough sketch and approached them to explain the concept and estimated budget. Soon, more companies presented their preliminary renovation plans.

Feeling overwhelmed by the technical aspects, Wang Yun deferred the decision to Bai Miao, who patiently explained her choices.

Four hours later, as dusk fell, they finally settled on a renovation company. The extended interaction had brought Wang Yun and Bai Miao closer.

Realizing neither had eaten since leaving Green City Community at noon, Wang Yun suggested dining nearby before returning to inform the other shareholders that renovations would begin tomorrow.

Bai Miao agreed, pleased with the progress in her relationship with the "little girl's" Sister Yun. She planned to use the dinner as an opportunity to delve deeper into their connection. Unbeknownst to her, Wang Yun harbored similar intentions.

They chose a Japanese ramen shop. While waiting for their miso and tonkotsu ramen, they began a new round of probing, both eager to uncover the truth.

As they spoke more candidly, sharing secrets about Su Qi, both women began to sense something amiss.

After five minutes of conversation, Wang Yun felt she was nearing the truth and decided to be direct:

"Su Qi is our husband, is she your husband too? If so, then you are a Little Sister, Little Sister Bai Miao!"

Bai Miao froze at Wang Yun's words.

She suddenly understood why the cute little girl with the doll-like face had shown the number five with her hand that afternoon.

Realizing she was the fifth wife, and that her "little girl" had been keeping this from her, Bai Miao suddenly lost her appetite.

All she wanted now was to give that unfaithful "little girl" a good spanking!

Seeing Bai Miao's reaction, Wang Yun knew her guess was correct.

Although she had suspected a relationship between her little husband and Bai Miao that morning, the confirmation still angered her. Weren't four wives enough?

Wang Yun also felt the urge to teach her little husband a lesson.

Exchanging a glance, the two women stood up in unison, some unspoken understanding passing between them.

As they rose, a waiter approached with their ramen. Seeing them about to leave, he asked, "Ladies, your ramen is ready!"

Looking at the waiter, Bai Miao and Wang Yun replied in perfect unison:

"We're not eating. There's a situation at home!"
