The wounds Lin Li had inflicted on the giant Wild Boar Beast, a creature at the Peak of Tier Two, would be fatal if left untreated.
Through Lin Li’s Perception, the Spiritual Energy Wave radiating from the giant Wild Boar Beast was fading rapidly. In just a moment, it plummeted from the Peak of Tier Two to the First Rank Initial Stage.
Although the giant Wild Boar Beast’s cultivation had dropped to the First Rank Initial Stage and it looked too weak to fight back, Lin Li didn’t let his guard down.
Spiritual Light bloomed in his hand as the surrounding air rushed to gather in his palm. A razor-sharp Cyan Wind Blade took form.
ROAR... The giant Wild Boar Beast lay on the ground, its stamina and Spiritual Energy completely drained. It no longer had the strength to retaliate.
’This despicable human is probably going to finish me off with a single slash of his weapon,’ it thought.
But to its surprise, the enemy was incredibly cautious. Instead of approaching to finish it off with a weapon after it had fallen, he was pointlessly wasting Spiritual Energy to cast his awakened Superpower.
SWOOSH.
A semi-circular Cyan Wind Blade, a meter in diameter, tore through the air with a whistle and slammed into the head of the defenseless giant Wild Boar Beast.
The Wind Blade packed more than enough lethal force, but the giant Wild Boar Beast’s skull was remarkably tough.
Although the Cyan Wind Blade split a massive gash in its head, the giant Wild Boar Beast didn’t die.
ROAR... Struck by another heavy blow, the giant Wild Boar Beast let out a piercing, agonized shriek.
It saw that the despicable enemy, having failed to kill it in one blow, was already forming another Cyan Wind Blade to attack again.
’If only I could speak,’ the giant Wild Boar Beast thought, ’I’d beg that vile human to just give me a quick death instead of torturing me with his Superpowers.’
The ever-cautious Lin Li had no idea what the giant Wild Boar Beast was thinking. He simply continued with his plan to deliver the finishing blows.
SWOOSH.
SWOOSH.
He launched two more razor-sharp Cyan Wind Blades in quick succession. They struck the same spot, and the giant Wild Boar Beast’s head finally exploded.
Bits of red and white matter sprayed from the ruined head, spattering in all directions. The scene was too gruesome to look at.
Lin Li had delivered this kind of head-exploding finishing blow to Mutant Beasts many times before.
He thought he would have been used to such sights by now, but looking at the giant Wild Boar Beast’s burst-open head, he couldn’t help but feel his stomach churn.
BLECH.
After dry-heaving, Lin Li quickly retrieved a bottle of mineral water from the Mysterious Small Island.
He twisted off the cap, tilted his head back, and guzzled nearly half the bottle, which finally eased the feeling of nausea.
Then, he stored the giant Wild Boar Beast in the Mysterious Small Island and started heading back toward the city.

Happiness Garden District, Building 3, Apartment 601.
Su Yue, a woman of distinct curves, was wearing a loose, silk slip dress that did little to hide her figure.
Her glossy, jet-black hair was tied up high. She was on the balcony, humming a tune as she hung clothes out to dry.
The sunlight fell upon her, making her fair, rosy skin seem to glow with a crystalline translucence.
After hanging the clothes, Su Yue watered the potted plants she kept on her balcony. Water droplets clung to the leaves, refracting the light into a brilliant, colorful spray.
Walking into the living room, Su Yue sank onto the soft leather sofa. She looked at the clock on the wall behind the television and muttered to herself.
"It’s already eleven-thirty. Why isn’t Lin Li here yet?"
After she spoke, Su Yue lifted a fair arm and tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. After a moment’s thought, she picked up her phone from the sofa and called Lin Li.
BEEP...
The call connected almost immediately.
"I’m already on my way. I’ll be there soon..." Before Su Yue could even ask, Lin Li, guessing why she was calling, quickly answered.
"Oh." Hearing that Lin Li was already on his way, Su Yue acknowledged and then said, "I’m out of dark soy sauce. The beef and potato stew needs it, so could you grab a bottle from a convenience store on your way over?"
"Okay."
After hanging up, Su Yue got up and left the living room for the kitchen. Lin Li would be there soon, and she wanted to wash some fruit for him.

Back home, Lin Li immediately hopped in the shower to wash away all the dust and the stench of blood.
He took a large cut of Yellow Ox Exotic Beast Meat from the refrigerator. Then, carrying a bag of large potatoes he’d harvested on the Mysterious Small Island in one hand and the Exotic Beast Meat in the other, he left his apartment.
The moment he stepped out the door, his phone rang. Seeing it was Su Yue, he answered immediately and they exchanged a few words.
After hanging up, he stepped into the elevator and rode it down. Just as he was walking out, he ran right into his next-door neighbors.
"Lin Li," the adorable Zhou Tongtong greeted him.
"Hey there! Oh, did you get a haircut?"
"Yep, school starts tomorrow. My mom just took me to get it cut."
Beside her, Xia Qing glanced at the two bags in Lin Li’s hands and asked with a smile, "Why are you heading out with two bags of groceries?"
"They’re for a friend," Lin Li explained simply, not mentioning that he was actually taking these ingredients to a cooking lesson.
They exchanged a few more pleasantries before parting ways.
As Lin Li walked out of the building carrying his two bags, he passed by a landscaped greenbelt. Suddenly, his Perception picked up two extremely faint Spiritual Energy Waves coming from the bushes within it.
