Chapter 184: Back into The Origin Realm

Dawn broke, brilliant simmering rays of early orange sunlight slipping through the clouds.

Seth’s eyes snapped open. Getting off his bed, he wasted no time going to shower and getting himself ready.

Only this time he had no business putting on ordinary fabric clothing. Instead, he donned himself in the pulsing runic genetic battle suit.

His figure undulated with mythic grace. Ready for the trip to the origin realm, he stepped out of his room and headed straight downstairs.

Fortunately, everyone didn’t take long. Aside from Uriel, who he met already prepared, everyone else came down within minutes.

Like him, though not yet in possession of genetic battle suits, the crew dressed appropriately, donning armor with everyone armed to the teeth.

Well, everyone except Brandon of course. The guy was still dressed in sweatpants and a baggy ash tank top.

His situation was quite unique, so he wouldn’t be able to accompany them, though he had other plans of his own.

No words needed to be said. They all knew their aim of going to the origin realm this time: claiming a Class.

And probably farming as many stat points as possible along the way. Seth had informed them of what to do.

Since everyone aside from him hadn’t completed their first newbie quest of getting to a settlement, their priority was to get to the Greenfield settlement.

And no matter what provocation or side quest might surface, this had to be their utmost priority.

Plus, seeing that once it got to a certain point they might all go separate ways to pick their classes, he had made sure to warn them to be on guard.

They were new to this origin realm. They had so little knowledge of it, meaning for the most part, to malicious veterans they were fresh and easy meat.

Plus, there was still the possibility of a threat from those foreign groups who had attacked them last time.

Though there were zero grounds for this suspicion, Seth decided to be wary nonetheless, and still warn the others.

Everyone glanced at each other and nodded...

"Kick ass, guys!" Brandon cheered from the sofa.

No one felt bad for him. He had already assured them he had an exclusive path to find a class, even if he currently couldn’t explore the origin realm because of his circumstances.

The milk-gold cadence of the origin gate bloomed from their figures as they established a connection with their Will.

Their eyes glowed as they reached and tugged, activating it.

The light bloomed brighter, swallowing their figures whole, warping them from this dimension to another.

A realm where good lay absent, and infinity was but a stretch of endless mystical lands, filled with purpose, adventure, and endless resources.

Brandon closed his eyes from the flaring burning light, and by the time he opened them back everyone was gone, leaving him alone in the sitting room.

He stood up, his eyes flashing, staring at the void before his eyes depicting a flashing screen.

[Class quest available!]

[Warning: Activating this quest will permit a direct autonomous teleportation into the inheritance realm sitting at the edge of space-time!!!]

[Do you accept? Y/N]

This screen had been hanging by since, and this was precisely the assurance he was telling his roommates about.

As much as everyone had their cards, he had one of his too. His hand stretched to tap Yes, his eyes flashing.

’I wonder what kind of class I’d get, but one thing’s sure — it will be flames related!’ he thought, his gaze narrowing.

Regardless, in that instant a multicolored flame ignited in space, flashing with myriad brilliant colors.

The flames landed on Brandon, his figure instantly combusting into flickering glimmers of light, his body nowhere to be seen, as the flames of void swept him into another dimension.

Leaving the house to settle empty, waiting for the warmth of its masters to return...

...

The origin realm, Savage Oasis!

The void trembled in the emptiness of a dense grand foliage of green. Brown towering barks drew streaks of brown across the horizon.

And immediately four silhouettes encased in the glimmering pulsing glow of the origin gate appeared.

As soon as their existence was stably anchored to the origin realm’s dimension, the glow receded back, contracting to the origin seed sitting at the center of their mind’s sea.

Seth’s vision blurred and cleared, his enhanced pupils stripping the world of information/light and feeding it to his brain in such high definition he could see the weaving fiber cells that formed the leaves.

And just as he thought, this same exact spot which had been damaged three weeks ago when they clashed was now completely spotless of any deformation.

It was as though both the earth and vegetation had healed themselves — unlike their planet, whose recovery rate was too slow.

The three glanced at each other, landing on thick branches. Then, without wasting a moment of thought, they all started blitzing through the forest, their direction in sync.

Seth’s eyes narrowed as a streaking shadow whipped through the air. His left palm swung, clenching tight.

Catching whatever it was, he felt it squirm, its fur prickling against his palm. It must be an origin beast.

His thumb flicked, popping the squirrel-type beast’s head right off.

[Congratulations! You have slayed Mid Stage Awakened Leader class origin beast "Skull-Nut Rabid Squirrel"!!]

[You grow Stronger...]

[+1 Speed]

Flickering gems popped into reality. His eyes glowed as he caught them all in one fell swoop, pocketing them straight into his inventory.

Since his intelligence stats had increased so much, the inventory pocket space should finally be enough to handle his massive loot.

A streak of shadow rained, tearing through the wind, carrying crazed gleaming bloodthirsty crimson eyes.

More of those origin beasts... Seth frowned. Fortunately, they were strong enough to handle this many leader-grade monsters.

These things might seem small, but their lethality transcended size. Everyone acted instantly, gene skills and item abilities flaring to meet the swarm.

A pair of elite-grade weapon daggers appeared in Seth’s palms, his gene skills flaring to life, his gene battle suit’s function revving into action, coating the blades with an adamantine sheen.

He drew streaking arcs in the wind as he swept past, like a blade-storm hurricane leaving clean streaks of blood and a litter of decapitated beasts.

Due to the overwhelming difference in strength, only a few sparse stats dropped before dwindling to nothing, the kills unable to harvest anymore from these monsters.

But his 100% drop rate perk was relentless. Shimmers of gleaming items rained, and somehow Seth found a way to claim them by flexing his Will.

Piles of gleaming items rained into his inventory. After all, now there was no need to be conservative of space.

Soon, the origin — probably seeing that these guys weren’t prey — had long halted their charge, rows of gleaming red eyes just observing them as they booted past branches.

But regardless, they still encountered daring origin beasts that were of course dispatched easily, but still hindering nonetheless, cutting their speed by 20%.

Regardless, after an hour and some minutes, they burst out of the greenery of dense forests, landing at the edge of a clay-red rock cliff.

Jack, Uriel, and Elaine turned Seth’s way, confused on how a cliff could lead to the Greenfield settlement.

Seth just smiled and instructed them with a gesture of his chin: look down.

And they did. Leaning over the edge, their necks craned downwards, their eyes widening from shock, breeding surprise at the sight that lay below the cliff.
