Seth collected all three back into his inventory, each carrying more weight, and for the first time he felt the spatial storage to be full.
The inventory was tied to one’s existence, scaling in quality alongside an evolver.
One had to know space size and mass didn’t matter — only existential weight scaled.
For Seth, who not only possessed the dual‑class physique but had also increased his racial level, the inventory tied to his existence was supposed to accept hundreds of Awakened items and other varieties without stress.
But due to the existential weight of the items he had stored, especially with the three new additions, it was understandable why it was full.
After all, he had two Divine items residing within his inventory.
An alarming beep rang out from the watch around his wrist, the same device meant to alert him when he wasn’t holding back enough.
Now that Earth had completed its first upgrade, it was pretty useless, but Seth kept it on for a reason.
It was a means by which the president could directly summon them.
And that was exactly what the alarm ringing now meant. Fortunately, Kylie had prepared the gene runes and the battle suit core ahead of time.
Though he felt reluctant about not getting to talk to her, he had to be content with just seeing her visually.
Regardless, they had a war to win — if he still wanted there to be a world left where they could explore their relationship.
He glanced at Elder Ron. The old man understood quickly, waving his hand as he said,
"Tell the president that we should be done with the first few batches of the Titan Mech within two days." With that, the elder left to continue his duties.
Seth nodded and raced out of the facilities, his frame blurring as he zipped through the hallways. The passersby didn’t even glimpse his silhouette, only feeling the sudden burst of wind.
The moment he saw the sky, he took off, bursting through the clouds. He streaked across the horizon, his destination clear.
He was returning to the White House. There was no need to go back to their apartment to deliver the battle suits to the others.
Since he was summoned, they would also be summoned, and he could hand them over at the White House.
His gaze hardened... War was coming, or perhaps it was already here.
His fists tightened as the White House speedily came into view.
He summoned his genetic battle suit. After the severe damage it suffered during the final stages of his class quest, it had taken the armor three whole days to recover.
Even after Seth regained access to a boundless amount of Tier 1 essence crystals.
Encasing his body with a renewed glint, the runes flickered brightly as Seth landed gently in the compound of the White House.
As before, two agents awaited his presence. Saluting, they led him straight toward the situation room.
The elevator chimed, sliding open, and the two agents took places by the sides of a grand door.
Taking a deep breath, Seth steeled his nerves and opened the doors. The room suddenly went hushed as gazes focused his way.
His expression remained stern. His gaze scanned the room, filled with high‑ranking government and military officials.
His eyes settled on the side where his teammates sat. With an empty seat beside Brandon, he wasted no time walking over and sitting down.
Some officials glared at him coldly as he passed, but he paid them no heed, not even bothering to react as though he noticed them.
President Cain smiled. "Good, now that we are all here, we can finally review—"
His words were cut abruptly as a figure barged through the doors in a noticeably panicked hurry, earning frowns.
The president’s aide shivered beneath the glares and quickly spoke up in a cracking voice. "P‑pardon my intrusion, but I have a message mr president must see!" The aide apologized with a bow.
The president’s brows raised. "Oh? Bring it over..."
He didn’t need to be told twice. Hurrying to the president’s side, the aide quickly offered three envelopes with both hands.
Each carried distinct glowing wax seals bearing ancient sigils most in the room didn’t recognize.
Accepting the envelopes, the president waved his hand, dismissing the aide.
Everyone remained hushed, watching as the president unsealed each envelope. Before he could fully open one, a general quickly spoke out in warning.
"Your Excellency, do we know the source of these messages? And wouldn’t it be safer for someone else to open them, just in case?!"
The general’s words brought mutters of agreement. This was a dire time for the human race, and they had to protect their leaders from all manner of harm.
For all they knew, this might be a ploy of the foreign races.
The president smiled and shook his head. "I think you’re mistaken. This seal... anyone aside from me won’t be able to open it. And besides, these aren’t letters from the enemy."
Everyone went silent. If the letters weren’t from ancient races, then who?
Had other nations finally come to their senses?
Were they finally ready to cooperate?
Everyone exchanged glances in silence, no one objecting to the president’s actions anymore.
On Seth’s end, his gaze gleamed with suspicion.
’The energy those seals are giving off... It’s no joke.’ He could feel the regal presence the wax seals emanated, ancient auras that evoked a familiar feeling in his heart.
Everyone watched in stillness as the president completely broke the first seal, reading the contents of the letter.
His expression gave away nothing. He reached for the second and read through it all the same.
Then the last...
Each letter dissolved into nothing the moment he set them down. The atmosphere grew tense, everyone staring at the president in curiosity.
Finally, Secretary of Defence Sir Billard Dorne couldn’t hold back his curiosity and called, "Your Excellency?"
A grin suddenly broke on the president’s lips, his eyes flickering with a crimson spark.
A regal, cold, murderous presence coiled around everyone in the room, as the silhouette of the president seemed to grow taller in their sight.
Everyone shivered, breaths held. No one had ever felt this side of the president. Only Seth seemed to realize this might be a glimpse of the true presence of Cain — Humanity’s first murderer.
The president’s hands clasped together,
his voice low but somehow ringing across everyone’s ears.
"It seems some friends have come out to play..."
