Despite being in pain just a few moments ago, now I felt as if I could run a mile and still be fine. Honestly, I didn’t feel this healthy even during my college days, making me wonder if this is how people normally lived.

All that pain and exhaustion, I thought it was just because of the workload.

Ah! Zombies!

And then, recalling that I could get surrounded by zombies any moment now, I stood up from there, looking around for anything coming in my direction. I focused on anything I could, trying to see any moving entity I could see. Only after I confirmed it was all fine did I take a sigh of relief.

Though it made sense for there to be no zombies on this floor. It was under renovation as a ward for patients with disabilities was going to be built there. The only ones here would have been the construction workers, but if I had to guess, they would have tried leaving this floor in order to escape this apocalypse.

At a distance of about 50 meters from here, I can see a closed cafeteria near the corner, with food items still inside it. From the looks of it, there didn’t seem to be any zombies there, but I still didn’t want to take a chance, so I cautiously moved towards it while checking the surroundings.

I also kept my eyes down at the mess that I had just created, and sure enough, more and more zombies were being collected around there. Perhaps the zombies from other floors were also slowly moving towards it.

I wonder if Eva survived. I thought, recalling that she would have been on the 18th floor in the medicine department tonight.

"Maybe I can go and check?" I mumbled, as there was no harm in checking. If she had turned into a zombie, I guess it’s my responsibility to kill her, and if she had survived till now, perhaps I can help her out.

Reaching the cafeteria corner, I saw a few dead bodies that were not moving. Giving them a nudge, I checked if they were zombies or not, but fortunately there wasn’t any movement in them. Though just for caution, I moved them a bit more from one point to another, pulling their legs. If they were to become zombified out of nowhere, I would be a walking human kebab without sauce for them.

"Safe," I sighed as I checked thrice before taking a few sandwiches and filling my hungry stomach. I also ate a few muffins before picking a carry bag and filling the rest of the items I could carry into it.

Once I was sure that zombies were still not coming in this direction, I checked my system for the changes in that.

[Title: You can have only one Title at a time

Current Equipped Title: None

Survivor: Increases your resilience against dying. You take 20% less damage against enemy attacks.

Zombie Hunter: Zombies take increased damage from your attacks. Higher chance to land a critical hit.]

With a bright smile on my face, I put the [Zombie Hunter] title on before moving to the next.

[Status: Dying (You have 117 days left to live.) (All stats will be reduced by 1 every 4 days.)]

"How motivating... nom nom..." I ate one of the muffins while looking at the increased stats I had. If I had to make a guess, 100 was the average.

Hmmm... Intelligence should have gone beyond 100 based on how much it was before. Is 100 the cap? I pondered before looking at the similarity between Intelligence and Time Points. Also, between Constitution and Health Points.

I guess for each point in Constitution; I got 10 points in Health. Same goes for Intelligence and Time Points. Strength and Dexterity seemed pretty self-explanatory, and the same goes for Charm.

"I wonder what Wisdom does," I thought, taking a bite out of an apple and moving to the skills section. As for the extra 5 stats, I saved them for later.

[Eyes of the Time Keeper (Level 1)

Effect: Allows the user to see the time duration of all inanimate activities.

Cost: 1TP/sec

Skill points required to upgrade the skill: 1]

"Duration?" I was confused.

What did it mean?

I looked around, trying to figure out the way to use the skill, but honestly, I had no idea how to do it. What does it mean by duration?

"Will it tell me how long it will take for a body to move from one point to another? Or a change-"

And then I paused.

Something clicked in my mind.

Recalling a crucial piece of information that I had missed, I looked around to test this skill. Then, looking at the almost-eaten apple in my hand, I took the last bite, leaving the roughage part. Moving towards the ceiling, I raised my hand as I put it in the air.

How long will it take before the apple falls to the ground?

[3 Seconds!]

Then, as I let that apple fall.

[2 Seconds!]

[1 Second!]

-Thup!

It was the same timer that told me the time it would take the zombie to break the door and enter the bathroom. Though unlike the quest, now I can use it to find out the time for anything.

"Perhaps..." I pondered before trying to check something else.

How long will it take for the zombies to reach here?

[1 Hours 47 Minutes 23 Seconds!]

"Prep Time!" I smiled as I found this skill quite useful now. Though it has its limitations, if I can find out the time the zombies would take to reach me, I can plan my way through the entire hospital, most probably finding a safe route to any location I wanted to reach.

With a skip of heartbeat...

"How long will it take for the zombies to reach Eva?" I asked.

I waited for a few seconds, but nothing happened. I also tried saying the same thing in different words; however, there was no result.

"Is the skill limited to my surroundings?" I questioned with a slight sigh before checking a couple more items to check its full capabilities. I checked my own movements, and things related to me.

How long will it take me to meet Eva if I walk to the 18th floor from this direction?

[45 Minutes 24 Seconds!]

It seemed to work nicely as long as it’s related to me.

"All right, next is."
