Half a Life of Innocence

Chapter 550 - 537: A Generational Badass

The appearance of thirty-two Extraterrestrial Meteorites in the sky exuded an incredibly suffocating pressure. They contained an unparalleled destructive power, capable of turning everything to nothingness in an instant.

Tree Spirit Charlie was suffering in silence. He felt like a pitiful slip of paper, tossed and torn about in a violent storm with no power to resist.

Most plant-type beings who succeeded in cultivating into a Demon were content with their achievement. They would often choose not to face a Celestial Tribulation, preferring their Cultivation to stagnate at the final stage.

They understood deep down that once their Cultivation reached Perfection and the Celestial Tribulation descended, they had absolutely no chance of surviving it.

’A being without the Nine Orifices dares to defy the heavens? That’s just asking for death.’

Charlie the tree was actually a being of exceptional aptitude among plants, not much inferior to even Super level Creatures. But when faced with the Celestial Tribulation, he didn’t have a shred of confidence.

He completely lacked the domineering aura of those Super level Creatures.

"Master, hurry up and come here! Stop chatting down there, someone’s about to die!" Tree Spirit Charlie was panicking like crazy. Honestly, he felt that the very first Extraterrestrial Meteorite to fall would turn him to ash.

Tu Xiao’an rolled his eyes, speechless. ’This coward. He hasn’t even begun to resist the first one, and he’s already telling me to come up.’

"Master, I’m begging you, please stop standing around! If Charlie survives this Celestial Tribulation, I’ll provide you with an endless supply of Spirit Fruit from now on!" the Tree Spirit promised with a miserable expression. Saving his life was the most important thing; everything else was meaningless.

’Is it easy for a tree to become a Demon?’

"Now that’s more like it."

Hearing this, Tu Xiao’an nodded in satisfaction. He knew the Tree Spirit was a coward; besides, he was definitely going to help with this Celestial Tribulation anyway.

He set down the Lily in his hand, letting the Flower Demon slowly absorb the Energy from the Golden Core. Then, he took a step forward. His figure, graceful as a phantom, suddenly appeared at the pinnacle of the Snake Palace.

As light as a swallow, he landed on the very top of the massive tree. The wind blew past, sweeping up countless leaves and sending them scattering.

The moment Tu Xiao’an stood up there, the snakes of the Snake Race were jolted, their jaws dropping in astonishment.

’Lord Snake King is going to help this tree with its tribulation???’

’How lucky do you have to be to be Lord Snake King’s Battle Companion? He even helps you with your tribulation! How protective is he of his companions?’

Everyone knew you couldn’t help with a tribulation. Doing so would anger the Heaven and Earth Law, causing the descending Celestial Tribulation to become even more powerful.

Without absolute power, who would dare claim they could help another being with their tribulation?

It was blatant cheating. ’Do you think the heavens are blind?’

"Lord Snake King is mighty!"

"Long live Lord Snake King!"

Countless Snake Demons gazed at the proud, slender figure atop the great tree. It was as if they were witnessing the descent of an Ancient War God, so domineering and majestic that they couldn’t help but prostrate themselves in worship.

Tu Xiao’an smiled faintly at the crowd of Demons below and brought his hands together. The tsunami of cheers instantly ceased.

’This feels great. So satisfying.’

"Master, can you please stop showing off? Look at the time! How are you still in the mood for this?" Tree Spirit Charlie was worried sick.

Tu Xiao’an chuckled, his expression slowly turning solemn. He lifted his chin slightly and said calmly, "The Celestial Tribulation is coming."

The dark red sky above burned like a rainbow. The thirty-two Extraterrestrial Meteorites roiled with boiling flames, a sight that struck fear into the hearts of all who watched.

Suddenly, BOOM...!

Something incredible happened. Perhaps Tu Xiao’an’s intention to help the Tree Spirit with its tribulation had been detected by the Heaven and Earth Law, because the already terrifying Extraterrestrial Meteorites all swelled in size at once.

Each one more than doubled in size, and the oppressive pressure became so intense that it was hard to breathe. It felt as if one’s very soul was about to be scattered.

"We’re doomed, we’re doomed!" Seeing this, the Tree Spirit’s heart turned completely to ash. ’The Heaven and Earth Law is angry.’

The Extraterrestrial Meteorites formed from Celestial Fire had doubled in size, which meant their power had also doubled.

Just as expected, when someone helps with a tribulation, the tribulation’s power surges. It was no joke.

"Charlie, if the sky falls, your Master will be here to hold it up for you. What’s there to panic about?" Tu Xiao’an had previously survived a tribulation meant to be certain death. His power was now countless times stronger than before, having leaped to Level 35. A mere Celestial Tribulation was truly beneath his notice now.

Just then, a brilliant Divine Light shot out from Tu Xiao’an’s eyes, instantly materializing and blasting upwards.

In the dark red sky, one of the thirty-two swollen Extraterrestrial Meteorites actually exploded on the spot. A torrent of flames swept across the heavens, incinerating the air itself.

WHOOSH...!

This scene left the Demons below utterly stunned, as if they were looking at a god. Their faces were filled with shock.

’He’s actively attacking the Celestial Tribulation???’

And he succeeded! Before the thirty-two Extraterrestrial Meteorites even began to descend, one was already gone. What an incredible feat!

’Even a Deep Mountain Demon King wouldn’t dare do something like this, would they?’

"Long live Lord Snake King!"

"Lord Snake King is invincible!"

"Lord Snake King is mighty, mighty!"

The countless Snake Species on She Mountain went wild in an instant, their spirits soaring. Once again, a tsunami of cheers erupted.

This was their Snake Race’s newly ascended Lord Snake King! Not only did he help others with their tribulations, he even took the initiative to attack the tribulation itself. He truly treated the Celestial Tribulation and the Heaven and Earth Law as if they were nothing.

’So domineering!’

Let alone the countless Snake Species, even the Kings of the Races from some of the surrounding mountains were moved by this sight. Watching from distant peaks, they were like stone statues, completely dumbstruck.

’He even dares to attack the Celestial Tribulation? That’s like slapping the heavens in the face!’

’He’s crazy, completely crazy! This Snake is on a path to defy the heavens!’

RUMBLE... RUMBLE... RUMBLE...!

In the blink of an eye, the sky above seemed to truly collapse. It suddenly erupted into a frenzy, and the swollen Extraterrestrial Meteorites began to plummet one after another, each carrying a majestic pressure that could shake the world and make ghosts and gods weep.

That’s right—they were falling in a continuous stream, not one by one with pauses in between.

The two concepts are completely different.

When Tree Spirit Charlie saw this, he nearly fell from the top of the Snake Palace. All thirty-one Extraterrestrial Meteorites were hurtling toward him at once. ’Does it have to be this exaggerated?’

"Heaven Swaying Sword!"

Seeing this, Tu Xiao’an was completely unafraid. He opened his right hand, and a Three foot Azure Blade suddenly appeared. He pointed it diagonally at the dark red sky as Baoguang flowed along its edge and the sword’s hum soared into the heavens.

"Haha, bring it on!"

Tu Xiao’an suddenly roared. With the force of a thunderclap, his figure shot into the air.

"He’s mad, he’s mad! The Master has gone mad!"

Tree Spirit Charlie stared as if looking at a monster as Tu Xiao’an, sword in hand, charged into the Celestial Fire. A golden light erupted from his body. The surrounding flowers, grass, and trees seemed to freeze under the absolute pressure, as if time itself had stopped in that instant.

At this moment, there was no longer night or day in the world. There was only a slender figure standing in a world that had become a Sea of Fire, and the Extraterrestrial Meteorites were being pierced and shattered by slivers of sword light...!

This was an absolutely exaggerated scene. Countless creatures were petrified, unable to believe the terrifying spectacle before their eyes.

They had seen fierce, but they had never seen *this* fierce.

He had destroyed a bolt of Celestial Fire with a single glance, enraging the Heaven and Earth Law and causing it to unleash the entire tribulation at once. That was thirty-one Extraterrestrial Meteorites!

And each one was twice as powerful as what others faced during their tribulations.

But even so, the slender figure could be seen weaving back and forth through the sky. Sword light flashed everywhere, and the number of Extraterrestrial Meteorites dwindled one by one.

Tell me, in this day and age, who else could do such a thing?
