......
Tens of kilometers away from the herb garden, three men of varying builds appeared. One of them was none other than the recent talk of the Yaoling Mountain Range—the newly ascended Snake King of the Snake Race.
Although he had taken human form, his appearance was already widely recognized.
"You two idiots! I told you to find one fruit, and you’ve been wandering around for two hours without finding the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit!"
Frustrated that they weren’t living up to his expectations, Tu Xiao’an kicked each of the two tall, imposing men beside him to vent his anger.
"One of you claimed he could sense any Spirit Fruit within a radius of dozens of kilometers, and the other said he was familiar with the Azure Bamboo Forest. So how have you still not found it?"
The Bull Demon King said aggrievedly, "Master, the White Demon King’s Protean Ice Divine Fruit must be cultivated in his herb garden. As for where that herb garden is, I’ve never been there before. Aren’t we still searching for it?"
"And you? What’s your excuse?"
The other man was ordinary-looking, but he was a Tree Demon that had undergone Transformation.
This was Tree Spirit Charlie, who had passed his Celestial Tribulation. He should be called a Tree Demon now, as he had already undergone Demon Transformation.
Charlie said, "Master, you’re too impatient. It’s just ahead. There’s a very dense concentration of Spiritual Qi up front. That has to be the White Demon King’s herb garden. There’s no doubt about it."
"How can I not be in a hurry? I’m trying to get to a wedding so I can crash it!"
Tu Xiao’an had come to attend the wedding banquet as planned—and to crash it while he was at it. But one couldn’t show up to someone else’s wedding empty-handed; that would be too rude. More importantly, he had stood up that girl, Su Rushi, and she was surely sulking now. He had to get something to make it up to her.
And what would be most helpful to Su Rushi? The Centennial Ice Divine Fruit, of course.
This was also what that old man, the vice-dean, had repeatedly instructed him to do—Tu Xiao’an absolutely had to get his hands on the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit.
In truth, the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit wasn’t that important anymore, because Tu Xiao’an had discovered that the Ice Frost Power in his body could absorb Su Rushi’s Cold Yin Qi.
Even without the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit, as long as he was around, that girl wouldn’t freeze to death.
But he had made a promise to that old man, so he still had to see it through.
So, Tu Xiao’an had snuck into the Azure Bamboo Forest, his mind made up: first, he’d get his hands on the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit, and then he’d go crash the wedding.
’That’ll really piss that damn hedgehog off.’
’He’ll lose both the woman and the treasure.’
"Master, Charlie was right! It’s just ahead!" the Bull Demon King said excitedly. "Did you sense it? That mountain peak up ahead is heavily guarded by Demons. This has to be it!"
Tu Xiao’an’s eyes lit up. "Since it’s the White Demon King’s herb garden, besides the Centennial Ice Divine Fruit, there should be plenty of other Heavenly and Earthly Treasures inside, right?"
"Of course! There will be High Rank Spirit Fruits everywhere. If we steal them all, even a Demon King as wealthy and established as the White Demon King will be angry enough to spit blood," the Bull Demon King smirked.
"Then what are we waiting for? Bull, go take out those minions for me. Quietly."
"You got it, Master! Just watch me!"
SWOOSH... The Bull Demon King vanished in an instant.
The three of them—a great Snake King, an expert at the Pseudo Demon King Level, and at the very least, a Rank 3 Tree Demon—were all figures of considerable status. Yet here they were, taking advantage of the White Demon King’s wedding to sneak over and engage in such shady business.

This update is a little late. I was out having too much fun and suddenly remembered I hadn’t posted a Chapter yet, so I scurried back home to write. Today is the last day of 2018. By the time I upload this Chapter, it’ll be 2019 in less than an hour. So, let me say a few words from the heart. Thank you all so much for being with me this year. Thank you for still enjoying this book and for keeping up with it. As we say goodbye to ’18 and look forward to ’19, I hope all of you will continue to support me, Qing Bai, and continue to enjoy this book about a snake. I also want to wish everyone good health in the new year. Health is truly important; you can’t do anything without it. See you all in ’19.
