To be honest, the White Demon King was scared out of his mind. Tu Xiao’an’s current Snake King aura was simply that terrifying.
He even saw in this snake, Tu Xiao’an, a shadow of the great Demon King Liu of the Snake Race from ages past.
’Forcibly raising his Realm by using the Lifebound Golden Cores of some twenty Demon Spirits... Is that something a snake can do?’
’Cheating. This is cheating. Blatant, shameless cheating.’
In his panic, the White Demon King could only push his aura as a Deep Mountain Demon King to its Peak.
When experts of this caliber fought, the slightest misstep meant not just total defeat, but complete and utter annihilation.
"Haha, you damned hedgehog! Your end is here!"
Tu Xiao’an felt fantastic—better than he ever had in his life. The confidence of being invincible, unmatched under the heavens, swelled within him.
He even felt that if he wanted to punch a hole through the heavens, it might not be impossible.
He had absorbed the Lifebound Golden Cores of some twenty Demon Spirits, including many from Deep Mountain Great Demons and even some at the Pseudo Demon King Level.
Having swallowed them all at once, the power inside his body felt as if it would burst through the very sky.
But what disgusted Tu Xiao’an the most was that this was a one-time use of power, not a true, complete absorption leading to a breakthrough.
He had to maximize the power from the Lifebound Golden Cores and kill the White Demon King, that damned hedgehog, in one fell swoop.
If he failed to kill him, the situation would become far too unpredictable.
FWOOSH...!
In an instant, the world grew increasingly strange and terrifying. The wind howled and clouds churned. The otherworldly phenomena manifesting around Tu Xiao’an became ever more earth-shattering—so terrifying the very sky trembled, so dreadful that countless stars dimmed in its presence.
"Witness this Snake King’s ultimate technique! Five Elements Mixed Annihilation! All shall be extinguished!"
Tu Xiao’an let out an explosive roar, his voice booming like a great bell. A brilliant Divine Light erupted from his eyes. The five types of Elemental Attribute Power manifesting around his body—Thunder, Flame, Frost, Gold Element, and the Power of Darkness—all flared with a terrifying radiance. At the same time, these five Elemental Powers were completely drained from within him.
The five Elemental Powers coalesced into a multi-colored sphere that drifted toward the White Demon King. It didn’t seem to move fast, but it gave the distinct impression that escape was impossible. Wherever the sphere passed, the space before it trembled violently, and a sound like CRACKLE-POP-CRACKLE echoed between heaven and earth.
At this moment, there was no night or day in the world, only the lonely figure of the White Demon King standing before the colossal sphere, waiting for death.
The White Demon King’s heart trembled, but he was a Deep Mountain Demon King. He would not surrender without a fight.
Who would win or lose, live or die, was still unknown.
ROAR...!
The White Demon King let out a terrifying cry, like that of an abyssal leviathan. He merged with the colossal beast that had manifested above him, becoming one. His immense Demon King power, ready to erupt at a moment’s notice, surged as he roared at the heavens.
At that moment, the Scale Armor covering the massive beast the White Demon King had become blazed with a dazzling golden light. It looked as if it intended to swallow the multi-colored sphere whole.
The sky within the Void Zone warped and shifted—a true world-altering spectacle.
The resulting explosion was like a collapsing galaxy, the clash of their two immense powers shaking heaven and earth!
"Everyone, look! Quick, look! Is that the sun?"
The demons below stared in horror, watching what looked like a rising sun illuminate the sky with a blinding glare. In the distance, the form of a colossal beast covered in spear-like quills was starkly visible. They watched as it roared, opened its heaven-swallowing maw, and lunged toward that incredibly brilliant sun.
WHOOM...!
In an instant, the world descended into Chaos, becoming a vast expanse of white. The Snake Race’s new Snake King, the White Demon King—everything vanished from sight. A moment later, a world-destroying aftershock raged down from above, spreading in every direction. The entire world shuddered violently, a quake so powerful it plunged all into despair, as if the end of days had come. It felt as though the heavens themselves were about to shatter into a million pieces.
The mountain peak and the surrounding area now faced an unprecedented catastrophe. A storm of Qi from the Void Zone swept across the land, kicking up clouds of dust and debris as the ground itself cracked and burst apart.
The commotion was too great, so great that it felt like being trapped in the most terrifying nightmare.
The Demon Spirits below were horrified beyond measure. The phenomenon was terrifying, world-ending. They were about to become collateral damage.
Fleeing, dodging, hiding—they desperately scrambled for a safe place to escape the encroaching cataclysm.
The other Deep Mountain Demon Kings, however, maintained the composure of peerless experts. They didn’t flee in a panic like the other Demon Spirits. Instead, they stood their ground, faces as calm as still water, as their dense, terrifying Demon Qi formed a Light Shield to protect them.
They wouldn’t allow the disaster descending from the sky to harm them in the slightest.
RUMBLE... RUMBLE... RUMBLE...!
An unknown amount of time passed. The nearby mountain peaks had all shattered and collapsed, as if mountains had been split and rivers sundered. The surrounding area was an absolute wreck, looking as though a nuclear bomb had gone off.
For dozens of miles in every direction, the ground was completely fractured, with countless cracks spreading out endlessly.
The aftershocks from the Void Zone were far too powerful. Both Tu Xiao’an and the White Demon King had originally come to the same conclusion: a true, all-out clash would be absolutely devastating.
That was why they had ascended to the Void Zone. Yet, it had still inflicted irreparable harm upon the land and the Demons below.
Even the White Demon King’s Castle, which should have been on the verge of collapse, somehow survived. A turtle-shaped phantom emerged from within, covering the castle and making it as hard as bedrock, allowing it to weather the storm.
’Great King, the Profound Turtle’s prophecy has come true. It seems I can finally be free. If you are dead, then I have no reason to stay here.’
After an eternity of earth-shattering chaos, things finally began to quiet down. A patch of dirt stirred, and a Demon, back in its true form, crawled out from the ground, covered in dust and grime. It was a strange feeling of utter despair mixed with the relief of a new lease on life.
Slowly, more and more Demons crawled out from the earth. When they finally looked up, the view cleared as if the clouds had parted. The sky was still the same sky. No matter what devastation it had witnessed, it remained serene and aloof, unstained by the dust of the mortal realm.
The ground below, however, was a ruinous landscape, like a face that had been completely and utterly disfigured, scarred beyond all recognition.
But in the end, the sky was still the sky, and the land was still the land. They would not vanish. The only things that could vanish were the fragile, insignificant lives upon it.
"Who won, and who lost?"
"Or did the titans of the two races just annihilate each other?"
Both the Snake Race’s new Snake King and the White Demon King seemed to have vanished from the Void Zone above. They were nowhere to be seen, not a trace to be found.
A great question now hung in the minds of the Demons who had survived the disaster, but no one could provide them with an answer.
Even the other three Deep Mountain Demon Kings who had been observing the fight looked bewildered. They were releasing their Demon Qi, searching for something.
SCREE...!
A clear, piercing cry rang out. The graceful Immortal Spirit Peacock leaped into the air. Like a lost child, it flew about in a frantic panic, searching for something in the sky above.
