Chapter 618 - 595: The Ultimate Configuration for a Monkey Bloodline

The Ape King had ascended through the Enlightenment of a Super level Creature. In terms of innate aptitude and potential, he was far stronger than both the Hu Snake and the Bull Demon King.

At the same Realm, this monkey was definitely the strongest.

If this Level was given to the Ape King, he would be promoted to a Demon King and become incomparably powerful.

He would even be able to hold his own in a fight against the Deep Mountain Demon King.

But Tu Xiao’an suddenly hesitated. With how easily he was acquiring Power of Faith now, he could just directly evolve the Ape King’s bloodline.

The Monkey Race held a special status among all living things. They were formidable even back in the Primordial Era. Between heaven and earth, there were four great Spiritual Monkey bloodlines, collectively known as the Four Mischievous Monkeys.

Each of these Spiritual Monkeys was uniquely blessed, a true favorite of the heavens.

Of all the things in the world, any creature that could achieve a Super Class bloodline was already extraordinary. If it was a bit more outrageously powerful, then it would be an Epic Level transcendent bloodline creature.

These Four Spiritual Monkeys were all in the transcendent ranks. So far, Tu Xiao’an had never encountered a single transcendent creature.

Of course, that wasn’t entirely true. After he reached Rank Three of Enlightenment, his own Snake Vein lineage became unlike any other Snake Species in the world. Uniquely blessed, it was a transcendent Snake Species.

First, about these four Spiritual Monkey bloodlines. They were the Spiritual Stone Monkey, the Red-bottomed Macaque, the Long-Armed Ape, and the Six-Eared Macaque—four in total.

Each of the Four Mischievous Monkeys possessed vast Divine Techniques and their own unique skills. They were not counted among the ten categories of species, did not reside within the Three Realms, and were not named among the living.

They were definitely not weaker than the Four Great Divine Beasts; they might even be more outrageously powerful.

So, why were they so much more freakishly powerful than the Four Great Divine Beasts? First, one must understand the "ten categories of species." This concept states that all things in heaven and earth, every existing race, is included within these ten categories. First are the Five Immortals: Heaven, Earth, Man, God, and Ghost. Then there are the Five Insects, which encompass the scaly, feathered, furry, shelled, and insectile creatures.

No living being could escape these ten categories.

However, the Four Mischievous Monkeys were born outside of heaven and earth, which is why they were not among the ten categories. They were special existences: neither celestial nor terrestrial, neither god nor man nor ghost; nor were they of the naked, scaled, furry, feathered, or insectile kinds.

"Chaotic World" referred to the era of Chaos in Ancient Times. This was before Pangu had even separated heaven and earth. The apes that came into being at this time were known as the Four Mischievous Monkeys.

One could say that the Four Mischievous Monkeys represented the pinnacle of legends among apes, an ethereal and mythical existence.

Their origins were simply too immense.

’Transcendent, transcendent... an existence not found within heaven and earth.’ This was also why Tu Xiao’an himself had become transcendent after his Enlightenment.

’Evolving the Ape King’s bloodline doesn’t require much thought,’ Tu Xiao’an mused.

Any bloodline that existed between heaven and earth could be found in the System. Tu Xiao’an could simply choose any of the four Spiritual Monkey bloodlines.

For the birds of the world, becoming a Phoenix was the ultimate goal. For the crawling creatures of the world, evolving into a Dragon was the most revered path.

And for a monkey, becoming one of the Four Mischievous Monkeys was the absolute top-tier configuration.

Tu Xiao’an could save this Level; it wasn’t necessary to immediately add it to the Ape King’s Attributes.

This was because a bloodline evolution, being a uniquely blessed event, would inevitably lead to a Level breakthrough anyway.

With this in mind, Tu Xiao’an decided to be direct and upgrade the Ape King’s bloodline.

The four great Spiritual Monkeys of the world—becoming any one of them would mean becoming a world-destroying existence.

In the future, any of them could progress toward Rank Four of Ascension.

Rank Four of Ascension, a Divine Spirit whose transformation would shake the heavens and move the gods, a true Land Immortal.

What Tu Xiao’an had to consider now was which Spiritual Monkey bloodline to evolve the Ape King into.

But no matter which Spiritual Monkey it was, upon completing the evolution, it would possess certain Divine Techniques.

For example, the Spiritual Stone Monkey had Transformation, could Recognize the Celestial Time, had Knowledge of Geographical Advantage, and could perform Moving Stars and Changing Dipper. The second, the Red-bottomed Macaque, could understand Yin and Yang, understand human affairs, was good at entering and leaving places, and could avoid death and prolong life.

The third, the Long-Armed Ape, was capable of grasping the sun and moon, Shrinking Thousand Mountains, could Distinguish between Good and Evil, and perform Qiankun Manipulation. The fourth, the Six-Eared Macaque, was good at listening, able to discern principles, had Knowledge of the Past and Future, and understood all things.

It was said that Sun Wukong himself was a Spiritual Stone Monkey, a Celestial Stone Monkey.

Obviously, with Sun Wukong as a sterling endorsement, the Spiritual Stone Monkey bloodline was an excellent choice for the Ape King.

The Red-bottomed Macaque, a monkey born from nature’s spiritual energy, was inherently different and possessed heaven-shaking, earth-shattering abilities. That was also a good option.

The Six-Eared Macaque was also extraordinary, possessing the same combat strength as Sun Wukong.

’I should check the prices in the System first.’

Tu Xiao’an stole a moment from the chaos. With a thought, he directly entered the System Mall.

A search for the Monkey Race lineage brought up a dizzying number of bloodlines.

It was a bit overwhelming. One had to admit the Monkey Race was truly blessed by the heavens.

After all, humans evolved from apes.

Tu Xiao’an skipped right past the ordinary Monkey Race bloodlines, not even bothering to look at the Ancient Monkey Race bloodlines. The Ape King’s own bloodline was already quite extraordinary, not at all weaker than an Ancient Bloodline.

The four great Spiritual Monkeys of the world.

When the price data appeared, Tu Xiao’an glanced over it. They were surprisingly the same: 1,000,000,000!

’Good heavens, one billion!’

’This is the ultimate evolution. It’s already maxed out.’

In other words, as long as the Ape King became one of the Chaotic World Spiritual Monkeys, he would have completely reached the peak of his existence.

The Cyan Dragon, for example, could still evolve several more times, such as into a Five Clawed Golden Dragon or a Nine Clawed Golden Dragon.

The Dragon’s bloodline seemed to have no limit; there were far too many powerful Dragon bloodlines.

However, the price for the Four Mischievous Monkeys seemed to be a bit more than Tu Xiao’an could currently afford.

One had to remember that the Primordial Bull Demon King’s bloodline only cost 150 million, and it was already part of the Primordial Divine Beast series.

It seemed there were huge differences between each race.

The Four Mischievous Monkeys... their reputation was too immense, too ethereal. They had leaped outside the Three Realms and were not among the Five Elements.

One billion!

Tu Xiao’an pondered for a moment. ’This price would have been an absolutely astronomical figure for me before, but now, it’s not so outrageous.’

As the Bai Town Snake King, he now had five million followers. He could accumulate that amount in ten to fifteen days.

’Forget it. I won’t think about it for now. I’ll take it slow. I have more important things to deal with.’

The tribulation phenomenon in the fallen district was terrifying. The Tribulation Cloud Flower formed from Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire hung in the sky along with the Extraterrestrial Meteorite, while below, mountain-sized Fierce Beasts continuously suffered a catastrophic onslaught.

These Fierce Beasts, which had been a massive headache for both humans and Demons, were like mere decorations before this snake, Tu Xiao’an.

Why was this? First, Tu Xiao’an’s current strength was too great. Second, the most insane thing about him was his possession of Celestial Power.

It was the perfect counter to these Taotie clones.

RUMBLE, RUMBLE, RUMBLE...!

In the sky, Celestial Thunder and Celestial Fire took turns bombarding the fallen district. Below, the number of Fierce Beasts, no fewer than four hundred of them, was rapidly dwindling.

The people of Wencheng were in a state of constant, ecstatic celebration. They had never seen Fierce Beasts die like this before.

The death of every single one was a blessing for Wencheng.

The Demon Management Bureau, the Ancient Academy, and the hidden clans—combined, they hadn’t even killed one hundred Fierce Beasts so far.

But once the Bai Town Snake King arrived, he was invincible, slaughtering the Fierce Beasts as if they were ants.

In just a short time, no less than a hundred had already died. It was too insane, too unbelievable.

"Long live the Snake King!"

The thunderous cheers rose and fell in waves, while Tu Xiao’an’s Power of Faith and number of followers continued to skyrocket.
