Chapter 902: The Culprit Behind Lan Qingxin’s Car Accident

"Tap, tap, tap."

Qin Xin’s Chelsea boots made a rhythmic sound against the floor.

Strong yet nimble.

The three youngsters held their breath.

Hu Yi didn’t have time to change into better-looking new clothes. Hastily, he used the display screen of the bedside monitor to roughly fix his messy hair, and disappointedly touched the stubble on his chin.

For the first time in his life, he felt too sloppy and was a bit embarrassed to meet people.

However, the footsteps had already reached the doorway.

"I’m here. Is it convenient to come in now?" Qin Xin politely asked at the door.

Ao Xinghao cleared his throat: "Come in, Xin."

Hu Yi glanced at him and suddenly realized Ao Xinghao had somehow shaved the stubble he had accumulated over the past few days. He looked quite energetic and handsome, and had changed from hospital attire into casual clothes, with a particularly nice style.

Damn, Ao Chongchong secretly tidied up his appearance without telling him, and hid the razor so he couldn’t use it either.

The friendship boat capsizes instantly.

Just as Hu Yi was indignant, the door to the ward was pushed open.

Qin Xin entered wearing her usual black hoodie, draped with a long coat, and stepped in with her boots, getting straight to the point: "Ao Chongchong, what exactly happened with the car accident? Tell me everything."

Ao Xinghao was just about to speak when he noticed a man leisurely following Qin Xin in through the door in a wheelchair: "This concerns my sister’s life, I must listen closely."

The three youngsters: "..."

Is it really that difficult to meet Sister Xin alone?

They seriously suspected that when Sister Xin went to school for classes in the future, the man would sit in the last row of the classroom as an auditor.

Qin Xin pushed the wheelchair to the front of Ao Xinghao’s hospital bed: "Speak, no one here is an outsider."

The three youngsters glanced at Nalan Ye Jue.

Nalan Ye Jue also returned the gaze calmly.

Both parties felt the other was an outsider.

Yet dared not say so in front of Qin Xin.

Ao Xinghao cleared his throat: "Xin, do you remember when you took me to look for evidence in that car your family had crashed?"

Qin Xin nodded: "Yes."

Ao Xinghao: "The brakes seemed perfectly fine, but Xiangxiang said the driver couldn’t stop the car."

Hu Yi couldn’t help but interject: "Something so supernatural? I’ve been racing cars for years and never heard of this."

Ao Xinghao: "You don’t know, so don’t interrupt. This isn’t supernatural, it’s man-made. There was an oil stain on the brake pedal. I took it for testing."

Qin Xin furrowed her brows.

She had noticed the oil stain too.

And had long suspected someone deliberately smeared oil on the brake pedal, causing the driver to slip and the car to have an accident.

But, tracking down who applied the oil is very difficult. The car was driven from the countryside back to Lan Qingxin, and there were no surveillance cameras in the countryside, not to mention it passed through so many cities and towns along the way.

Ao Xinghao: "That oil stain isn’t ordinary oil. Whether it’s motor oil or cooking oils like peanut oil, corn oil, camellia oil, or blended oil, they all have a strong smell. If smeared in the car, it would be obvious and discovered by someone. Yet the stain had almost no smell. People who often cook would know what kind of oil has the faintest scent and is unnoticeable."

Qin Xin: "..."

She was a kitchen disaster, unsure even about how much salt to use when cooking, let alone the different kinds of oils.

Helplessly, she looked towards Nalan Ye Jue.

The man whispered in her ear: "It’s olive oil."
