Chapter 43

CHELSEA

I woke up with a headache. It felt like I was being hit with hollow blocks because of the pain. I didn't open my eyes right away and slowly massaged my temples. I probably did this for more than five minutes before I decided to open my eyes.

As I opened my eyes, the ceiling was the first thing that appeared to me. I slowly stood up and gasped when my head suddenly throbbed and my vision started to spin. I quickly closed my eyes and let my head adjust. If I force myself to open my eyes and move from my sitting position, I'll definitely fall.

When I noticed that I was feeling a little better and that the nausea seemed to be gone, I slowly opened my eyes. I looked around the room to see where I was now. I'm still in the villa.

What happened to me?

I immediately remembered what happened before I lost consciousness and fell asleep. All I remember is that I accompanied Red's mother to drink and even chatted with her... After that, I felt like I was really drunk from what I drank. The alcohol content of that wine must have been really high... The blow was so strong that it really knocked me out.

I supported myself to stand up, and when I stood up, I went to the window and pulled back the curtain. My eyes widened when I saw how dark it was outside, and I could see how strong the rain was outside because the trees outside were almost knocked down by the wind. I couldn't see anything but darkness from outside. I quickly turned on the light, and fortunately, the electricity didn't go out.

What's going on? Aren't we going home? I thought we would go home before nightfall because there was a storm coming. Did we not continue because we were caught in the rain? Wait... where are they?

I rushed out of the room and checked each of the rooms one by one. I was dismayed when I found out that they were not in them. I also checked if their things were still there, but they were not. I hurriedly went downstairs, thinking that they might just be there, but they were not there either. I searched the entire villa, but I was really alone.

Did they leave me? Is this their plan? To leave me alone on this island during a storm?

I am starting to panic. Fear, anxiety, and anger are mixing in my mind. I just want to cry. I thought they brought me here to have a chance to fix everything... I thought they changed... I thought he accepted me as his child... I thought they were just giving me a chance to prove myself to them. But all my thoughts were just thoughts... I forgot how cruel their attitudes are... Heartless...

I calmed myself down and thought about what to do. I immediately stood up and looked for my phone. I went back upstairs and went straight to the room where I came from earlier and started looking for my phone. I searched for it in the bed, under the bed, and on the table, I almost turned the whole room upside down, but I still couldn't find my phone. I sat on the floor in frustration with what was happening. I thought carefully about where I might have left it. The chair outside immediately came to mind. That's right, it must be there.

But the rain outside is so strong, how am I going to go out in this weather? I was scared that something heavy might fly and hit me. But if I succumb to my fear, nothing will happen to me. I stood up, took a jacket from my suitcase, and put it on. I headed downstairs, and when I opened the door, the strong wind greeted me. The chair where I sat earlier is not that far away, so I quickly ran to it and didn't mind the strong rain and wind. When I reached the chair where I sat earlier, I immediately saw my phone. I picked it up, and it was really wet, probably because of the strong wind and rain.

I hurriedly entered the villa and closed the door. As soon as I entered, I grabbed a towel to wipe my phone. I tried turning it on, but nothing happened. I went back upstairs and put my suitcase down. When I brought my suitcase down, I immediately opened it and took out my blower. I used it to help dry my phone. After a few minutes, my phone finally turned on.

I don't know how long I've been blowing my phone, but when I tried to turn it on again, it still didn't work. Maybe it really got wet because of the rain. I was disappointed and put it on the table, and to my surprise, the light suddenly turned on.

Shit! The power might be out...

I immediately stood up and went to the kitchen to look for a candle or flashlight, but I couldn't find any. Fortunately, there is some food stored in the kitchen. If I have to wait here before I get help, at least I have something to eat.

I peered out through the kitchen's glass door. All I see is darkness. I can't even see the ocean. What time is it? How long will I be trapped on this island? Does Red know I didn't come back? How can I ask for help if I don't have anything to contact them with... I stopped thinking when something heavy suddenly fell on the glass door, shattering it. I stepped back and leaned against the kitchen sink. I screamed when I felt a pain in my left hand. When I looked, it was bleeding and there was a piece of glass stuck in it. I used my hand as a shield earlier because I was so surprised, so maybe the glass shattered on my hand. It hurts so much, and the bleeding won't stop. I took a piece of cloth from my suitcase and slowly removed the glass from my hand.

I counted to three before taking it out, and when I finally pulled it out, I screamed in pain. As I wrapped it in fabric from my clothes, tears started to fall. I don't know why I'm crying, is it because of the pain from my wound or because of the people who left me on this island? What is it?

I closed my eyes and leaned my head on the sofa and cried there. I let out all my anger and hatred towards the people who did this to me. Don't they have a soul? Don't they fear God? How can they do something like this...

When I opened my eyes, the light turned off again. If you're really unlucky... Even the power has abandoned me... I took my phone from the table and tried to turn it on again, hoping it would open...

After several attempts to open it, it suddenly turned on. I stood up and came back to life when I opened it. I immediately went to the messages and texted Red. I don't know if there's still a signal, but I have to try.

I also tried calling him, but because of the storm, I couldn't get a signal. I started to lose hope again. I just hugged myself and lay on the sofa. I couldn't stop crying because of what was happening. Do I really have to go through this? What did I do wrong that I'm being punished like this? I didn't pay attention to the loud wind outside and the things that were hitting the walls of the villa. I admit I'm scared at this time, but my pity for myself is greater.
