Chapter 450 - 302: Metal Beauty

’With a figure like that, how bad could she possibly look from the front? Besides, she’s an Extraordinary Being.’

’Most Extraordinary Beings are uncommonly beautiful.’

The woman seemed to sense his gaze and turned to look in his direction. Li Xiang gave her a slight smile and a nod.

But the Bright Pearl Darkens skill was simply too profound. The woman’s Cultivation was relatively low, so how could she possibly see through Li Xiang’s true power?

To her, Li Xiang was just an ordinary person without a trace of Spiritual Power.

Li Xiang, on the other hand, was full of admiration for the Western woman.

She was, after all, stunningly beautiful. Unlike the many beauties back home, she possessed a unique, exotic charm.

She had skin that seemed kissed by the first rays of morning sun on the Left Bank, its cool, fair tone shimmering with a pearlescence reminiscent of boutique windows on Saint-Germain Street. Her features were delicate and well-defined: a brow bone curved like the steel arches of the Musée d’Orsay’s ceiling; cobalt-blue eyes holding the misty allure of Montmartre Hill; a nose whose bridge perfectly replicated the golden ratio of the Triumphal Arch. A deep red lip gloss blurred at the edges, hinting at the tipsy haze of a bar in the Marais District. In the hollow of her collarbones rested a Bulgari Serpenti necklace, and when the fiery sparkle of its diamond-studded serpent eyes cut through the air, it seemed to dim even the neon signs of Galeries Lafayette Paris for a moment.

The woman studied Li Xiang for a few moments as well. After all, he was quite handsome himself.

’What a clean-cut Chinese man. He must be from the mainland of the Eastern Great Power.’ Erin de Merovingian could tell at a glance that Li Xiang was ethnically Chinese, and most likely from China itself. Only men from the Eastern Great Power would dare to stare at her so brazenly.

’Men from South Korea or Japan, on the other hand, would never have that kind of arrogant gaze or relaxed confidence.’

American soldiers stationed in Japan and South Korea were particularly good at telling them apart; in a mixed crowd of Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans, they could pick out the Chinese in an instant.

And to this Western woman, Li Xiang was, in his own way, just as exotic.

They exchanged a few glances before quickly looking away; they were strangers, after all. Li Xiang had no intention of striking up a conversation.

Erin de Merovingian, for her part, had other things on her mind and was in no mood to flirt with men.

As Li Xiang toured the museum and cased the joint, he occasionally watched her from the corner of his eye, trailing far behind her. The Louvre Museum was packed with tourists, so no one could say he was deliberately following her.

Li Xiang was genuinely curious about her.

It wasn’t just that she was an unaffiliated Extraordinary Being and stunningly beautiful. It was because this gorgeous woman limped when she walked. ’Is her right lower leg a prosthetic?’

Li Xiang had currently suppressed his Spiritual Power, so he couldn’t get close and use his Spirit Body to examine her. He couldn’t be sure; it was just a guess.

’That young Western woman is so beautiful, but she has a limp. Such a shame,’ Li Xiang sighed to himself. He secretly wondered if she was like him—a Reincarnator with a system. Or had she inherited some ancient legacy and had a fortuitous encounter, thus stepping into the Extraordinary Realm?

’Are there other Extraordinary Beings here? Any secret organizations?’

’If so, well, I’m not afraid. But I’ll have to act more quickly to prevent them from finding any clues that could lead back to me. That would just cause trouble for my country.’

He and Luo Feifei had previously assumed another identity: Divine Envoys of the Indian Shiva God and the Snow Mountain Goddess. Their intention had been to tell the world, "If you want compensation, go look for the White Elephant." Unfortunately, the White Elephant didn’t have enough clout to take the fall.

Now, much of the international community suspected that the mysterious Armored Warriors were Chinese. At United Nations meetings, the many victim nations had long been pressuring China for compensation, and the arguments had grown quite heated. But without any proof, they never won the debate.

The Eastern Great Power of today wasn’t what it used to be; it couldn’t be pushed around without evidence. In fact, even with evidence, they probably couldn’t be easily manipulated.

After finishing his tour of the Louvre Museum, Li Xiang visited the Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts, the Fontainebleau Palace, and other locations.

In the dead of night, around 1:00 AM, an earthen-yellow light flared deep beneath the Louvre Museum. A figure emerged from the ground—it was Li Xiang.

His daytime reconnaissance hadn’t just been to pinpoint the artifacts’ locations, but also to map out every security camera.

He emerged in one of the building’s blind spots. Immediately after, a Vibration of Spiritual Power shattered all the nearby cameras, and the screens in the security room instantly dissolved into static.

Meanwhile, in the security room, one guard was asleep, another was absorbed in a mobile game, and a third was in the middle of a tryst with a female colleague. None of them had time to notice a thing.

Li Xiang opened his system’s warehouse and began loading in massive quantities of artifacts. He cleared them out one exhibition hall at a time, ransacking even the "treasuries" that were not open to the public.

However, the sheer number of artifacts was overwhelming, and they were all priceless. He had to be extremely careful to avoid damaging them, which slowed his progress considerably.

Furthermore, to cover his tracks and throw off investigators, he didn’t just collect the Chinese artifacts; he took artifacts from other countries as well.

If he only plundered the Chinese artifacts, it would be a dead giveaway, practically announcing to the world that he was Chinese.

By "treating all nations equally" and looting everything, no one would be able to guess his origins.

’Huh? Someone’s here?’ Li Xiang still had two areas left to plunder when his keen Spiritual Sense suddenly detected an arrival.
