I started searching for Lara’s dad. I was shocked when I heard the news. I don’t know why Heather killed her.
I told my men to find him. As soon as someone found his location, he sent me.
“He is staying in a house near the countryside”
“Okay, I will talk to him,” I replied to him and he sent me his location.
I was still in a dilemma about what really was going on with our lives.
I reached him and talked to him. He was disheartened when he heard the news. But in the end, he agreed to visit.
I said the same to Ashley via message.

I was scared to meet him, but I had to. Soon, I saw him coming to the hospital and I took him out with me.
“Hello,” I said to him.
“Hello. Are you… Ashley?”
“Yes”
“Oh…”
“They need Lara’s blood relative--”
“I am sorry for what happened, Ashley”
I sighed. I didn't want this conversation. “I, uh… so please go inside and fulfil the responsibilities”
He nodded and took the signal that I didn't wanna talk about it.
I was out while he went inside. I saw Chris standing on the side. I went to him.
“Thanks”
“It is okay. Fulfil your promise”
“Okay. I forgive you”
“Really?”
“Maybe. I don’t know, I need time”
He nodded. “Thanks”
I sighed. “By the way, where is Vincent?”
“I don’t know… he isn’t with you?”
“Nope”
“Must be at your house” he sighed. “Should I call him?”
“I will, wait” I took out my phone and called him, but there was no response. I was scared as to what happened.
“He didn't pick up?” Chris asked.
“it says the number does not exist” my face was blank as I spoke it. Chris was shocked too.
I told Chris to manage the situation at the hospital and decided to go back to make sure everything was fine.
As I reached there, I didn’t find him anywhere. I was so afraid. Did he leave me? I remember that he was calling me to stop when I was leaving. To wait for him. But I was freaking out!
I looked for him everywhere, but he was nowhere to be found. I called Chris and asked him to look for him at his base.
Luckily, he knew where Vincent’s base was and he went there. Although he couldn’t find him.
I was completely taken aback and wanted to cry. I couldn’t understand a reason for him leaving like this.
I decided to think about it somewhile later. I met Chris in front of the hospital when I went back.
“Why would he do this?” I asked him.
“I don’t know”
I sighed. “Well…”
“Oh yeah, uh… heather is imprisoned for life and his business is taken over by Jason, with whom she was romantically engaged”
I looked at him shocked. “Oh”
“yeah… uh…”
“Hm? What happened?”
“I just want to say, don’t worry. We will find him”
I nodded. “yeah, we will”
He smiled. Suddenly, I saw Lara's dad coming out of the hospital.
“Ashley” he spoke. I looked at him.
“yeah?”
“Who told you Lara is dead?”
“Uh…?” I was confused. “The hospital called earlier--”
“Whatever it was, Lara is alive! Go inside!”
I was so happy, and confused at the same time. I ran inside and to her room. Maybe that’s why the nurse and the receptionist weren't allowing us in.
I saw Lara and smiled brightly. I hugged her tight.
“Oh God, I thought I lost you”
We had a good emotional moment. Then Chris asked me to come out.
“yeah?” I asked.
“There is something I wanna confess”
“Yes?”
“I was the one who made that fake file”
I was shocked and quiet for a moment. I wasn’t worried about that, I just wanted to meet Vincent. “okay”
he didn’t expect ‘okay’, but whatever.
“If you find Vincent” I told him. “I will forgive you”
he nodded and I just sighed. “I will find out who did this, though”
He nodded again and then left. I need to know who spread this fake news.
I went to the receptionist. if she was bribed, then she can be bribed again. I turned the voice recording on and told her that I will pay $10,000 if she told me the truth.
She seemed so happy. “There was this girl, Sarah Blue. She asked me to do this”
“Okay”
I nodded and went out. Sarah…. Blue. Heather’s sister?
I forwarded the information to Chris. he asked me to go to the Police station with it.
I went there and reported it. Then I gave the recording and went out.
I knew she would be arrested. Even Lara was fine, now all I wanted was Vincent to be found.
