Chapter 9 - 10 – Hot Springs Episode: I Accidentally Saw Everything and Now I’m Wanted in 3 Dimensions

There are certain universal truths in life:

Never trust anything labeled "school field trip" in a rom-com setting.

When a hot springs inn separates "boys" and "girls" with a paper-thin fence, fate is plotting something.

If Lilith and Sayuri are both attending, I will 100% regret existing.

Scene: The Arrival – Misty Springs Lodge

The school’s annual "Cultural Recovery and Team Building" trip was held at Misty Springs, a suspiciously photogenic inn nestled in the mountains.

Teachers said it was for "emotional growth."

I knew better.

It was a trap.

And I still got on the bus because they offered free snacks.

The Hot Springs — "Boy’s Side"

There I was.

Finally. Peace.

The water was warm. The night air was cool. I was alone, soaking like a human noodle.

And then—

BOOM.

The bamboo wall rattled like an earthquake.

"Kazuki! Are you in there?!"

Lilith’s voice. Loud. Too loud.

I panicked and dunked my entire head underwater like that would hide me from shame or Satan.

"DON’T COME IN HERE—"

Too late.

Scene: Absolute Disaster

Lilith kicked down the sliding door like a goddess of chaos in a towel. Sayuri was right behind her, wrapped in a black silk robe that somehow radiated danger and shampoo commercial energy.

"We thought we’d join you," Sayuri said sweetly, sitting way too close in the water.

Lilith threw a loofah at her. "Back off, sparkle knives."

Sayuri smiled. "He saw me in a bunny hoodie. He’s basically my fiancé."

"I will burn this spring down," Lilith replied.

Me: [Nosebleed intensifies.]

The Boys Join In (and Regret Everything)

Just as things were spiraling into illegal romance territory, the other boys from my class stormed in, yelling things like:

"Bro, is this the co-ed side??"

"Why are there girls??"

"Why is Kazuki holding a duck-shaped floaty and crying??"

Then a teacher walked in.

Then the innkeeper.

Then a monk. For some reason.

It turned into a scandal so spicy it made the school news app under the headline:

"Local Idiot Causes Spiritual Collapse of Hot Springs Innocence"

Scene: Punishment and Recovery

Back at the inn:

Lilith was banned from all future hot springs for "aggressive towel magic."

Sayuri was asked to "kindly not flirt while holding weapons."

I had to write a 2,000-word essay titled:

"Why Hot Springs Are Not Dating Sim Levels."

Later That Night – Outside My Room

There was a knock.

Sayuri stood there in a hoodie, holding a mini first-aid kit.

"For the nosebleed," she said, poking my chest. "And your fragile spirit."

She walked away before I could speak.

Then another knock.

Lilith.

"Don’t get used to steam flirting," she muttered, shoving me a cookie.

"...You baked this?"

She slammed the door.
