The Rain Pours Down

Chapter 439 - 438: Jiang Zuo’s Seal

Su Qi gave Jingyue a resentful look.

Her Senior Sister just loved to drag her husband into everything.

"Senior Sister, do you really want my husband to be someone extraordinary? You’ve brought it up several times now," Su Qi said.

Jingyue couldn’t help but think, ’Your husband was never an ordinary person to begin with. Even though I have no proof, I’m sure of it.’

But since Jingyue had no proof and hadn’t found anything, she couldn’t draw a final conclusion.

Jingyue then asked, "If this really is your husband, what would you do?"

Su Qi answered without hesitation, "I’d go in and be with him. If we have to die, we’ll die together."

Jingyue gave Su Qi a helpless look. "Are you that dead set on dying with your husband?"

Su Qi said, "I don’t know what would become of me without my husband, but I know for sure I wouldn’t want to live anymore.

That’s why I’d stay by his side until his life reaches its end, and then we would close our eyes together.

But until that day, I’ll fight with everything I have to stay alive.

So, Senior Sister, please try not to do such dangerous things in the future."

Jingyue was speechless.

She really didn’t know what to say to Su Qi. ’How could someone love a person this much?’

She still couldn’t see what was so great about Jiang Zuo. Wasn’t he just a bit lucky, accidentally winning the heart of her dear Junior Sister Su Qi?

But then again, Su Qi was the foolish one.

Jingyue couldn’t help but feel that Jiang Zuo was a truly lucky man.

’What a wonderful wife.’

Jingyue wondered if she would ever fall for someone so deeply.

’If she ever did, maybe she should just end it all. How foolish.’

At that moment, the three stone steles suddenly lit up.

Su Qi immediately exclaimed, "Senior Sister, look! He’s finally making his move."

To this day, they still had no idea who this person was; they weren’t even sure if they were male or female.

But this person was, in fact, trying to Seal the Master of Curses.

This meant he was helping them.

Su Qi felt that after this trip, the Holy Land would be indebted to many people.

Many people saw the three stone steles light up.

Jian Shisan saw it as well. His hand remained on his sword, uncertain of what would happen next.

Swordsman Beitian was also glued to the live broadcast. He felt that perhaps he was now the only one who could save the Sword Cultivation Lineage.

He didn’t know why. It was clearly an absurd thought, yet he couldn’t help but entertain it.

Just then, a figure manifested within the third stone stele.

Everyone saw it, but this figure was different from the one they had seen before.

The previous one had appeared tall and imposing, whereas this one was of a more normal stature and seemed to be walking away, growing more distant.

Soon, they all saw the figure was indeed walking, heading toward the central Sealed area. He had departed from the stone stele.

Jingyue and Su Qi were also astonished; they had no idea how the person had managed to do that.

But even though they could see the figure, no one knew who it was. The person’s body was completely concealed, making it impossible to even confirm if they were human.

"Human, you’re rather special," the Master of Curses said, looking at Jiang Zuo.

Well, that settled it. Now everyone was sure this person was human.

Jiang Zuo stood high in the air. He had indeed left the stone stele, but he had not left the altar, which was right beneath his feet.

Without the altar, Jiang Zuo would have been utterly incapable of challenging the Master of Curses.

Now, he had to give it his all, even though he couldn’t be sure of the final outcome. Yet he had no choice but to act.

In truth, if he just revealed his identity, he could probably take Su Qi and leave.

But that probably wasn’t the perfect ending Su Qi desired.

He could give Su Qi the best, most perfect ending imaginable.

A little hardship and exhaustion were nothing to him.

Then, Jiang Zuo waved his hand. The three stone steles instantly shattered, and all the dust from their destruction gathered around him.

It clearly separated into black and white particles.

The only reason Jiang Zuo could accomplish this was thanks to Jingyue. Because of her work, he didn’t need to break any of the mechanisms here; he could use them directly.

Otherwise, given the complexity of the Seal here, even he would have needed time to crack it.

The moment the stone steles shattered, everyone was left dumbfounded.

Jingyue cried out, "What is this person trying to do? Those steles are Sealing Stones! Is he looking to die?"

"Senior Sister, is there a Sealing Skill that involves shattering the steles?" Su Qi asked.

Jingyue shook her head. "I don’t know. The information I have doesn’t mention any Sealing technique that involves shattering steles. It does, however, mention techniques that shatter steles to *undo* a Seal."

Now, it wasn’t just Jingyue; no one had any idea what this person was thinking.

Perhaps he simply intended to release the entity.

Maybe it had been their wishful thinking all along, and this person had never intended to Seal his opponent in the first place.

However, just as they were beginning to doubt him, the voice of the Master of Curses rang out once more.

This time, there was a clear tremor in his voice. "Human, who are you? How do you know this technique?"

The people watching the live broadcast were baffled. ’Know what?’

’Shattering the steles with one strike?’

Before their confusion could fade, they saw it—they saw the answer.

Countless particles of dust began to surge wildly, constantly gathering beneath the figure’s feet.

In just a few moments, the beginnings of a massive Array took shape high in the sky, appearing before everyone’s eyes.

At this point, even an idiot could tell it was a Sealing Array.

For even that once-profound and indifferent being was visibly shaken.

"Impossible! Human, you are so weak. How could you possibly cast this?"

Jiang Zuo had no intention of answering the Master of Curses’s question. ’What’s the point of asking if it’s possible? I’m already casting it right in front of you. How could it be impossible?’

’What’s the point of all this useless chatter?’

’It won’t make me any faster. And with Su Qi so close, I can’t risk saying a single word. It would be disastrous if I gave myself away.’

With that, Jiang Zuo increased his speed, not wanting to waste any time.

The longer this dragged on, the worse it would be for him.

His Cultivation was insufficient to Seal his opponent on its own.

At this point, the Master of Curses also began to counterattack. He seemed to be taking things seriously now.

An even more violent torrent of Curse Power surged toward Jiang Zuo. His Array wasn’t complete yet; it would be impossible to block it.

However, Jiang Zuo didn’t seem too concerned and simply waved his hand.

Immediately, countless monsters appeared from all sides and crashed madly into the torrent of Curse Power gushing from the Master of Curses.

Then, Jiang Zuo activated the Curse Bead and the Purification Bead, seizing control of the surrounding Curse Power to launch an attack against the Master of Curses.

"Human, you are courting death!" At this, the Master of Curses erupted in another frenzied outburst.

BOOM!!!

The clashing Curse Powers sent immense shockwaves surging in all directions.

Jingyue and Su Qi were sent flying to who knows where.

Ironically, the camera didn’t move an inch.

The confrontation, however, showed no signs of stopping, as the torrents of Curse Power continued to clash violently.

It was utterly impossible for anyone to remain standing in the vicinity of the duel.

Su Qi and Jingyue had already been blasted clear off the mountain peak.

Anyone strong enough to withstand the Curse Power was sent flying.

Meanwhile, the situation outside the Sword Cultivation Lineage was even more terrifying. The immense shockwaves finally shattered their Defense, and Curse Power began to ravage the entire Sword Cultivation Lineage.

"Quick! Call upon the Ancestral Sword to suppress the enemy!"
