Chapter 1209 - 1205: It’s Platonic Love

Eva Miller thought, now that Luke Land has ’amnesia,’ should she carefully shape the image she has in his mind? She definitely shouldn’t let him imagine her as some kind of shrew; that would be terrible for her image.

So, she nodded without hesitation.

"That’s right, I really used to be very, very gentle." She said sincerely.

"Gentle in bed too?" He raised an eyebrow and asked.

In bed?

Eva tried to hold back her temper, could his mind ever be clean? What does he think about every day?

"We... don’t share a bed."

"So, does that mean your sex life is not harmonious?"

"..."

Eva didn’t want to continue being tangled in this issue with him; he could think whatever he wanted.

Luke played his amnesia part quite well, "Well, where is my room?"

"..."

Eva thought for a bit and still, in good spirits, took him back to the master bedroom.

She glanced at Luke’s leg, it didn’t seem completely healed, so regardless of whether he was willing or not, she grabbed a wheelchair for him to sit in. Luke sighed inwardly, the hard-earned freedom of his legs was lost again.

Eva pushed the wheelchair to the bedside, usually, Luke would sleep on the sofa, but considering he was still a patient, she let him have the bed.

Luke was naturally quite satisfied with her ’obedient’ approach.

Eva went to the bathroom to take a shower, while Luke sat on the bed reading a magazine.

She took an awfully long time in the shower; by the time she came out, it was already an hour later.

"Come here and sleep." Luke pointed to the space beside him.

Eva initially wanted to refuse, but she wasn’t used to sleeping on the sofa, so she climbed onto the bed without much backbone.

Her gaze happened to fall on Luke’s phone, and seeing the contents, she felt a strange sense of bitterness.

Luke was searching online for... how to recover from amnesia.

"Wife, look..." Luke called her ’wife’ on the left and ’wife’ on the right, calling rather smoothly. Eva didn’t argue with him about it; since his leg wasn’t healed and he had amnesia, she couldn’t bring herself to contradict him.

"People with amnesia need care, need to relax their mindset... need to be in similar environments more often..."

Similar environments?

A hint of laughter flashed across Luke’s eyes, but he continued to pretend nothing happened.

"Alright, alright, I get it, I will care for you and be good to you." Eva quickly made a verbal promise; after all, his car accident had something to do with her.

"Did we... really not sleep together before?" He pretended to question uncertainly.

"Of course." Eva nodded with certainty, "We respected each other like polite guests, had a platonic love, only pursuing soul communication, and had no desires for physical pleasure, at most holding hands on ordinary days..."

Eva kept lying, of course, this was meaningless.

"But..." Luke took out his phone, pretending to be about to say something but stopping, "But how come I remember that we slept together before? And it seemed quite intense."

"What?" Eva scoffed, "How’s that possible? You have amnesia, you’re remembering it wrong."

"Is that so?" Luke unlocked his phone, clicking open a video he had cherished for a long time and had recently been reminiscing over, "The people in this video, it seems to be you and me, right?"
