After lunch, Yuan Chun took a nap on the bean bag sofa for about an hour when someone knocked on the door.
Yuan Chun quickly put the bean bag sofa back into her space and used her spiritual power to dispel the lingering smell of meat in the room, then went to open the door.
It was Mrs. Chen leading her three sons, bringing her some furniture.
A full cartload.
Not only was there furniture, but also a set of unused bowls, chopsticks, and plates from their home, a small stove, a slightly rusty iron pot, and a clay pot. In short, there were plenty of things.
Mrs. Chen laughed, "I don’t know if you’ll be cooking in the dorm, so I brought some things we don’t use at our house. See if you can use them. If not, you can give them away. They’re just cluttering up my house anyway."
"I can use them, I can use them. Thank you, Aunt Chen."
Yuan Chun quickly helped move the furniture inside.
Since both of the Chen family’s brothers had to go to work, they hurried off after moving the furniture upstairs. Mrs. Chen, thinking she should see things through to the end, stayed with the little fool to help Yuan Chun clean.
Yuan Chun glanced at the Cleaning Talisman in her space and forced a smile, "Aunt Chen, I can clean it myself. Just letting me stay here has already been a huge help. I couldn’t possibly ask you to clean for me too, that would be too much."
Mrs. Chen felt she might have been a bit too forward.
She laughed, "Alright then, clean it yourself. If you need anything else, just let me know. Oh, by the way, you don’t have a quilt here yet. Our Sanbao got a new quilt last year, and we haven’t given away the old one. I’ll have Sanbao bring it over for you to use. Once you save up enough cotton tickets, you can buy one yourself."
"Alright, thank you, Aunt Chen."
They brought it to use as a mattress, and as for a quilt, she could just get one from her brother and sister-in-law’s house.
She came to take care of her nephew, and her mom, worried that there wouldn’t be quilts at her brother and sister-in-law’s, had made two new cotton quilts for her to bring along.
She had left in such a hurry earlier that she forgot to pack the bedding.
Mrs. Chen left with the little fool.
Yuan Chun took out a Cleaning Talisman and threw it on the ground, and immediately the entire room became spotless, not a speck of dust in sight. The glass windows were so clean they reflected her image.
Yuan Chun carefully arranged the items Mrs. Chen brought over.
When the little fool came back carrying a quilt, followed by a few four or five-year-old kids, Yuan Chun filled a wooden basin with water and started wiping the door outside, pretending to clean diligently.
The little fool said, "Pretty sister, I brought you a quilt."
"Sanbao, thank you."
Yuan Chun put down the cloth, took the quilt, and walked inside.
The little fool followed her in, saying, "Pretty sister, my mom said I should stay and help you clean. Pretty sister, I’m very good and I can do a lot of work. I help my mom cook, sweep the floor, and wash vegetables at home, and I wash them really clean."
Yuan Chun laughed, "I’ve already finished cleaning, there’s nothing else to do. I need to go to my sister-in-law’s place to get some things."
The little fool seemed ready for a fight, "Pretty sister, I’ll go with you. If your sister-in-law tries to hit you, let her hit me instead. I’m a big strong man, I can take a beating."
"Sure."
If the little fool wanted to follow along, that was fine with Yuan Chun.
And so, Yuan Chun went to her brother and sister-in-law’s house, with a small tail trailing behind her. When she knocked on the door, Zhao Dongxiu saw it was her and looked sullen, "Why haven’t you gone back, you little..." bitch.
