Chapter 730 - 733: Everyone Wants to Have Children

Watching the young daughter-in-law suddenly walk over, Jiang Ran blinked, somewhat unsure of what was happening today.

Seeing Jiang Ran silent, the young daughter-in-law smiled awkwardly and sat down in front of Jiang Ran.

"It’s like this, I’ve been married for several years and have a son. Now my son is three years old, but I haven’t gotten pregnant again. I thought about consulting before, but I never found anyone reliable. Doctor Jiang, could you take a look at me?"

As soon as the young daughter-in-law finished speaking, others around joined in.

"Yeah, yeah! Check me too! I also want another one!"

"Exactly! I only have two kids at home, it’s too few; I also want another one!"

"If we could have two more, the house would be livelier, and in the future, the siblings could support each other."

Listening to their words, Jiang Ran felt somewhat bewildered.

At this moment, Jiang Ran had a genuine sense of realization.

There was a discrepancy between her thoughts and those of people in this era.

Most people in this era valued having many children as a blessing.

The more children, the better.

As long as there’s food to keep the children alive, that’s enough.

As for other matters, there’s no need to overthink them.

But for Jiang Ran, it wasn’t like that.

Raising children to live, to grow up healthily, is the most basic.

More importantly, how to raise them well.

Though thinking this in her heart, Jiang Ran said nothing.

People are different, and so are their thoughts.

She could disagree with others’ thoughts but shouldn’t impose her own ideas on them.

As a doctor, she just needed to use her skills to satisfy the requests of those who came to her.

It’s just having another child, not doing anything heinous, so there’s really no need to overthink it.

Thinking this, Jiang Ran extended her hand to the young daughter-in-law sitting by the table, "Then extend your hand, and I’ll take your pulse."

The young daughter-in-law happily extended her hand for Jiang Ran to examine her pulse.

Starting with this person until around noon, everyone left with their prescribed medicine. Jiang Ran saw over a dozen women who wanted to condition their bodies to have another child.

Among them, a few had some actual bodily issues.

They needed slightly longer periods of conditioning.

The rest had minor physical issues, and their lack of pregnancy could only be attributed to fate not aligning.

Yet, eager to have children, Jiang Ran prescribed medicine based on their physical conditions.

After sending them off, Wang Cuilan had already prepared lunch.

Some people needed to be on duty in the afternoon, so those who were on duty had eaten in advance.

With others overseeing things, Jiang Ran could go eat.

At this time, people likely wouldn’t come for consultations.

If anyone did come and it wasn’t urgent, they’d wait; if urgent, they could shout to the neighboring yard or make a quick call.

Quite a few stayed back for lunch today.

Fortunately, Pei Yang and Pei Shanshan could cook, and Wang Cuilan could help.

So, the lunch was very sumptuous.

One table wasn’t enough; everyone split into two.

Everyone was seated, just waiting for Jiang Ran to join.

Seeing Jiang Ran arrive, Pei Shanshan jogged over to her side, pulling her to sit with them.
