Chapter 1259 - 1255

Mason Bennett was not surprised; for Vivian Thornecroft to reach her current position, she naturally couldn’t be without any brains.

But because of this sentence, Mason’s dislike for Vivian deepened significantly.

At the same time, the anger in his heart grew more intense, and his whole aura suddenly increased, making Vivian, closest to him, feel breathless.

She looked at Mason in disbelief, her face somewhat pale.

She couldn’t understand why someone of equal status was being suppressed by Mason.

As the young master of the Lawrence Family in Kyoto, his status was certainly not lower than Mason’s!

Just as she was thinking of how to overpower Mason, she heard him slowly speak.

"Even so, why did you order an assassination attempt on me and Bella right after we registered our marriage!"

Mason’s words were deliberate, and though his tone wasn’t loud, they were heavy and powerful, striking at everyone’s heart.

Vivian’s pupils suddenly constricted, then she let out a cold laugh.

"Isn’t it because you can’t find Bella that you’ve gone insane, Mr. Jiang?"

She really found it laughable.

She hadn’t expected Mason to use such a clumsy excuse to confront her.

What did the matters between him and Bella have to do with her?

Even Old Mr. Lawrence found it utterly ridiculous.

No one noticed that a figure had walked to the stairway and suddenly stopped, motionless...

In the living room, except for Louis Lawrence, everyone believed Mason must have been overly stimulated and gone mad.

Mason, however, was utterly unconcerned, lifting his chin slightly as if looking at an ant, speaking to Old Mr. Lawrence.

"Old Mr. Lawrence, do you also think I’ve gone insane?"

Old Mr. Lawrence furrowed his brows, although he didn’t believe Mason would spout such absurdities without reason.

But he equally couldn’t believe his grandson would harm his granddaughter.

It was simply ludicrous.

"Mason, I understand you’re worried about Bella, but don’t spout nonsense here and ruin someone’s innocence. Vivian is my grandson, and Bella is my granddaughter. If you claim Vivian would harm Bella, then present the evidence!"

Vivian smirked, not a trace of worry.

After all, it had nothing to do with her.

No matter what evidence Mason brought forward, it wouldn’t hold.

Fake things will always be fake.

"Grandpa is right. Since Mr. Jiang speaks so assuredly, then present the evidence, and I will face you directly!"

Her confident tone bore not a trace of guilt or panic, straightforward and open.

Old Mr. Lawrence watched, breathed a sigh of relief, and was even more convinced that this incident was something Mason had fabricated out of thin air.

"Exactly, Mason, if you say Vivian commissioned a killer, you’d better show some evidence, right? Spewing nonsense like this, we’ll sue you for defamation."

Louis suddenly spoke casually from the side.

At his words, Vivian, who had been full of confidence, suddenly felt less sure of herself.

She looked at Louis, who had a half-smile, and suddenly felt uneasy.

The situation seemed not as simple as she had thought.

Before, she firmly believed this wouldn’t involve her; even if they fabricated evidence, it would mean nothing.

But now, she was feeling less certain.

Louis, and Mason...

Mason glanced at Louis, nodded in agreement.

"Louis is right. If there’s no evidence, why would I stand here?"

As he spoke, he took a piece of paper from his coat pocket and tossed it onto the coffee table in front of him.
