Chapter 1273 - 1269

"Tomorrow?"

Listening to Mason Bennett’s words, Louis Lawrence’s tone elevated.

"Mason Bennett, you really dare say that." Louis Lawrence laughed angrily.

Mason didn’t speak, but his attitude was clear.

He couldn’t continue to let Bella Green stay in a place beyond his reach.

"Tomorrow night, wait for my news." Louis rubbed his temples, feeling helpless.

After hanging up the phone, Elijah, biting an apple, mumbled unclearly.

"Tomorrow? So urgent? Matthew Lawrence has returned to Kyoto, your sister won’t be in danger. Being so aggressive could cause trouble."

Louis was well aware that Matthew’s spies were everywhere. Avoiding his watchful eyes wasn’t easy, especially in such a tight timeframe.

"Matthew can’t spare time for Brocade City’s affairs just yet."

"But that manor is entirely under Matthew Lawrence’s control. Bringing something in is simple, but taking someone out, Matthew will definitely notice first." Elijah said disapprovingly.

Louis squinted his eyes and touched his chin, suddenly smiling.

"You’ve overestimated Matthew. Most might not get out, but my sister isn’t alone there."

"What do you mean?" Elijah looked bewildered.

Louis didn’t reply, instead he took his phone and left.

Seeing this, Elijah quickly chased after him.

...

"Sir, should I notify Master Vivian Thornecroft over there?"

The old butler walked in holding a phone, asking.

Matthew Lawrence was already in bed, ready to sleep.

But the old butler couldn’t make decisions on his own. Although Vivian Thornecroft wasn’t a Lawrence child, he was still Matthew’s person.

Matthew chuckled indifferently.

"Just a fake, don’t worry about it."

The old butler nodded but remained hesitant.

"Won’t he betray you, sir?" He asked worriedly.

After all, Vivian had helped Matthew with many things recently. Even if not shady, it’s still not ideal for people to know.

"Betray? What could he possibly betray?"

Matthew retorted.

The old butler thought for a moment, then laughed and shook his head.

"I’ve lost my mind."

"And what about Miss Bella?"

Matthew pondered for a moment: "Let her recuperate well first; that manor was meant for her from the start."

The old butler nodded, said no more, and walked out.

As soon as he left, he took out his phone and returned a call.

"Lawyer Song, Mr. Lawrence is asleep, and he’s quite disappointed with this matter; he won’t get involved."

...

Early the next morning, nothing major had happened at Vivian Thornecroft’s side, but another significant event had been reported.

At the dining table, Matthew Lawrence was leisurely having breakfast when he saw the old butler rush in looking flustered.

"Sir, there’s trouble!"

Matthew froze his hand holding the knife and fork, lifted his head, and looked at the old butler.

The old butler had always been with him and had seen many storms; but now he seemed very out of sorts.

It must indeed be a major issue.

"What happened?" Matthew took the napkin by his side, wiped the corner of his mouth, and asked.

The old butler’s face was grim. He approached and whispered.

"The factory is in trouble; next month’s medicines might not be available."

The man in the wheelchair’s eyes darkened a shade, and his face rarely grew cold.

"This month’s medicines are also running low. If there’s really none by then, your health..."

"What’s going on?"
