Chapter 401 - 359: Returning Fully Loaded

The gyrfalcon seemed to understand Flora Bloom’s words and nodded at her.

Flora Bloom looked at the crowd of onlookers around her, then turned to Lex Cross. "Is this its way of repaying me for saving it?"

Lex Cross walked over to Flora Bloom. "Take them. Falcons are highly intelligent, especially evolved ones like this. It must have been drawn to the unique aura of your spiritual water. To them, your space is far more alluring than freedom.

An evolved creature’s purpose is to evolve. Your spiritual water is as essential for their evolution as a Crystal Core, making it equally attractive to all living things."

After bringing the two eggs and the gyrfalcon into her space, Flora Bloom found an empty, rocky mountain in the Boundless Mountain Range. Using her control over the space, she built a stone nest on a cliff face. She then partially dehydrated some wheat straw and used it to line the nest before placing the two gyrfalcon eggs inside.

Following Flora Bloom’s guidance, the gyrfalcon flew directly to the stone nest on the cliff and began to incubate the eggs.

The chickens and geese in her space had begun to multiply so quickly they were almost becoming a plague. Flora Bloom decided to select some of the ordinary, non-evolving chickens and geese and release them on the mountain with the gyrfalcon’s nest, making it convenient for the bird to hunt.

Flora Bloom also gave the gyrfalcon a stern warning: it was not to hunt the poultry she was raising in the pen by her little farmhouse, which it had been eyeing hungrily.

Having acquired five dairy cows, a gyrfalcon, and two gyrfalcon eggs—not to mention a giant crab that had acknowledged her as its master—Flora Bloom had successfully completed her objective for this trip. In fact, she had exceeded her goals.

The group rode the giant crab back to the ramp, where Flora Bloom recalled it into her space.

Just then, a massive Thunderbird flew toward them from the sky. It let out a few chirps at Lex Cross—its calls still sounding young and immature—before flying away.

Flora Bloom stared at Lex Cross’s Thunderbird. ’They hatched from their eggs at the same time, yet my Golden Crow is still so small it’s embarrassing. How did Lex’s bird grow so big in such a short time?’

On the way, Flora Bloom asked Lex Cross this very question. He chuckled. "The secret realm we visited on this trip happened to have an energy source that aids a Thunderbird’s growth. The little guy grew quite a bit after eating it. Still, it’s too small to carry a person in the air right now."

Flora Bloom’s eyes widened with curiosity. "Carry a person? Can my Golden Crow do that too?"

Lex Cross looked at Flora Bloom, finding himself inexplicably filled with pride. "Of course! While it might not grow as fast as a Thunderbird, it will be far more powerful in terms of both strength and size.

In the myths and legends of Earth, there’s a Divine Beast called the Kun Peng, whose wings are said to span ninety thousand li. The Golden Crow is an even more ancient Divine Beast. It’s said that its size can surpass that of any other avian Divine Beast."

Seeing the woman beside him suddenly light up with excitement, Lex Cross couldn’t help but gently pat the top of her head. "You’ll have to work hard. The things a Golden Crow needs to grow are almost impossible to find in this world. If you want it to truly mature, the energy required can’t be supplied by mere Zombie Crystal Cores."

"What about the Energy Gemstones we got from the Heartfire last time?"

"Unless you find a vein of high-quality Energy Gemstones, it won’t be enough to sustain its growth."

Flora Bloom nodded and sighed. "Sigh... I thought raising these little pets in my space for protection would be fun and give me a sense of security. But these little guys are more difficult to raise than the last.

And Three-Eyes... he doesn’t seem to have made any progress at all."

"Don’t worry, you’ll get everything you need in time. Your space is no ordinary thing. You don’t need to be anxious."

Speaking of Flora Bloom’s internal space, Lex Cross felt deeply conflicted. ’Is this girl lucky or unlucky?’ he thought. ’If she could grow strong quickly, I wouldn’t have to worry. But the shattering of Earth’s dimension is only a matter of time. Sooner or later, Flora Bloom will have to enter the cosmos and face the powerful factions coveting this supreme treasure of a space.’

’What’s more, I’m sure that if Earth shatters, she’d rather perish with it. Finding life forms capable of sustaining the growth of such a complex space is incredibly difficult. To find them, she would have to leave Earth and search the ancient empires of the cosmos, or venture into the outer-realm battlefields.’

The group returned to the low-built house and began discussing the roster of people who would go back to Morhaven. Initially, there was nothing to discuss; only Lex Cross and his twelve special forces soldiers were supposed to stay.

However, Lex Cross had ordered The Crown Prince and Li Mao to act as Flora Bloom’s personal bodyguards, and he remained adamant on this point. With The Crown Prince and Li Mao’s ability to catch enemies off guard and their powerful combat strength hidden in the shadows, Lex Cross would feel much more at ease about Flora Bloom’s safety.
