Rewrite update

So. I said Jan end, but June's already peeking round the corner.
Sorry bout that.
I could argue that it was life screwing with me what with surviving two layoffs, switching roles, and learning new tech stacks. But actually, the fault lies mostly with me. I swear that one chapter I was satisfied with just last week now feels like a maggot-infested apple! So, like any sane human, I fix it. Then, I tweak the chapters after that. Rinse and repeat. Like this, I've managed to write a whopping... 6 chapters! What massive fucking amount!
So, I said, fuck this. I'll just post!
I realised that I was never going to be happy with it (which was exactly what I thought when I started the rewrite). I was actually progressing with the story when there was the pressure of releasing chapters, and that strange guilt that arose when I couldn't release a chapter. Without that, I just kinda frobnicate pointlessly.
