"No need to go anywhere, we’re already here!"
Just as Third Elder was about to step out of the Great Hall, Lin Chang’sheng and the others had already arrived.
"You three are the ones who barged into our Heaven-Reaching Sect?"
The Third Elder glared at Lin Chang’sheng angrily.
"That’s right! Though, to be precise, it was her!"
Lin Chang’sheng glanced at Guo Yunchu.
Wasn’t she saying the Heaven-Reaching Sect would hand over the Divine Liquid without a fuss? Looks like things aren’t as easy as she thought!
He decided to see if Guo Yunchu really had what it took.
"You?"
Instantly, all eyes from the Heaven-Reaching Sect landed on Guo Yunchu.
This girl was barely at the Middle Stage of Void Refining, and now her veins were completely shattered—offending the Heaven-Reaching Sect was basically suicide.
"That’s right—it’s me. You better open your damn eyes and look closely—do you even know who I am?"
Guo Yunchu stood with her hands on her hips, unafraid.
However, Guo Yunchu rarely went out, and barely anyone from the major factions in the Immortal Realm recognized her.
So the Heaven-Reaching Sect disciples all looked at each other in confusion. No one had a clue who Guo Yunchu was.
"Third Elder, she claims she’s the daughter of the Immortal Martial Hall’s Hall Master! Of course we didn’t believe her, which is why we didn’t let them in!"
A disciple quickly piped up.
Hearing that, the chubby Third Elder let out a dismissive snort.
"The Immortal Martial Hall is the top power of the Immortal Realm. How could the Hall Master’s precious daughter have broken veins? You’re clearly just here pretending to be someone you’re not!"
The Third Elder sneered.
"Maybe you’re the one pretending. Hand over a drop of Heaven-Reaching Divine Liquid so I can fix my broken veins, and we’ll let this go. If not, I’ll go back to the Immortal Martial Hall and tell my father. He’ll send people to flatten your sect!"
Guo Yunchu’s aura didn’t falter at all.
"Oh? Big words. I don’t think you’ll be walking out of here alive today!"
The Third Elder roared angrily, ready to strike.
"Is that so? I doubt you have the skills!"
Lin Chang’sheng stepped forward.
The Immortal Relic Land ran on strength, and the Immortal Realm even more so.
No wonder they didn’t take Guo Yunchu seriously. If talking won’t get you the Divine Liquid, you just have to take it by force.
"Cocky little brat. You’re young, but you’ve got a big mouth. I want to see how good you really are!"
As he finished, the Third Elder unleashed his Primordial Power, trying to suppress Lin Chang’sheng.
But when his energy surged out and hit Lin Chang’sheng, it had zero effect, as if it’d vanished into thin air.
"Wha—How is that possible?"
The Third Elder was shocked. He had Middle Stage Mahayana Cultivation—plenty to suppress anyone below Mahayana.
Could Lin Chang’sheng have reached Mahayana already?
Unconvinced, the Third Elder gathered his Primordial Power into his Fist Aura, slamming a punch toward Lin Chang’sheng.
Roar—
Midair, the unleashed Fist Aura formed a fierce tiger that roared thunderously.
But as the full-force punch came, Lin Chang’sheng just smiled dismissively and slapped out casually with his palm.
BOOM RUMBLE—
The next moment, the two attacks collided fiercely in the air, erupting with a deafening boom.
A surge of wild Primordial Power rippled out, making the surrounding people’s robes flutter.
Guo Yunchu was sent flying outright.
Luckily, Gu Shan was behind to shield her, otherwise she’d be badly hurt.
When the rumbling faded, the chubby Third Elder was sent flying by Lin Chang’sheng’s palm, crashing hard onto the Great Hall floor far away.
The Third Elder felt a bitter taste rise in his throat—he almost spat blood, but managed to swallow it back.
"Late Stage Mahayana? This..."
The shock on the Third Elder’s face was beyond words.
Based on his age, Lin Chang’sheng wasn’t even thirty, but his power was terrifying.
Who the hell was this kid?
Could he be from a top-tier Major Sect?
"Let me guess—you must be the number one on the Celestial Pride List, Lin Chang’sheng?"
From up above, the white-haired elder finally spoke.
Judging by Lin Chang’sheng’s show of strength, there was no one else in the Immortal Realm that could reach this level at such an age.
Other than Lin Chang’sheng, there definitely wasn’t a second candidate.
"Lin Chang’sheng?"
The Third Elder was shaken. No wonder he couldn’t win. He finally understood.
"Sect Leader flatters me."
Lin Chang’sheng replied politely.
"Since you’re Lin Chang’sheng, this young lady must be Miss Guo for sure!"
Bai Baihe continued.
"Then why aren’t you handing over the Divine Liquid? Without the Immortal Martial Hall’s protection, how could you defend the Divine Tree?"
Guo Yunchu snapped irritably.
Her words didn’t carry as much weight as Lin Chang’sheng’s. These people really judged only by strength, not identity.
Guo Yunchu finally realized how important strength was.
Her father always told her to train hard, but she never listened. Now, taking a beating out here, she finally knew what power meant.
"Please don’t be upset, Miss Guo. It’s true, thanks to the Immortal Martial Hall’s protection these years, our sect has stayed safe. But even so, I still cannot give you the Spiritual Liquid!"
Bai Baihe said.
Hearing that, Guo Yunchu was furious, her chest heaving with anger.
This old guy was obviously playing her.
"You—"
"Why not?"
Guo Yunchu hadn’t even finished before Lin Chang’sheng put up a hand, questioning.
"There’s more to it than you know. The Divine Liquid is incredibly powerful. Miss Guo’s body at Void Refining simply can’t handle it. At minimum, not until Integration Stage,"
Bai Baihe explained.
Guo Yunchu didn’t buy it. She thought Bai Baihe was just making excuses.
No way the Divine Liquid was that intense.
Could it be more potent than a Holy Pill?
She could take Holy Pills—so what’s a mere Divine Liquid?
"You just don’t want to give it to me! That’s a lame excuse!"
Guo Yunchu snapped back.
"Miss Guo, don’t joke. If you don’t believe me, I can give you a drop, but you must return to your sect before taking it. If anything happens, Heaven-Reaching Sect can’t take responsibility!"
Bai Baihe stated seriously.
Lin Chang’sheng sensed this wasn’t a joke—maybe the Divine Liquid really was that fierce.
"Who said I only wanted one drop? There’s three of us—hand over three! Whether we use it or not is our own business!"
Guo Yunchu’s eyes flashed, and she seemed to hatch a plan.
She could have someone else use it first to test if it was really that potent.
"Three drops? Miss Guo, do you even know how rare this is? It takes a thousand years to gather one drop! Asking for three at once is taking our lifeblood!"
As soon as she finished, a skinny Seventh Elder shot up, agitated.
Each drop of Divine Liquid was priceless—they’d never hand it over easily.
If Guo Yunchu wasn’t the Hall Master’s daughter, they wouldn’t even give one.
"Just three drops! Why are you so stingy? Fine—two will work!"
Guo Yunchu shrugged indifferently.
That comment left the Seventh Elder speechless—this young lady had no clue how precious this stuff really was.
A single drop of Divine Liquid could create a Celestial Pride contender, even surpassing a Holy Pill.
"One drop. That’s the limit!"
The battered, chubby Third Elder got up and spoke with finality.
One drop was already their absolute limit.
"Two drops at least!"
Guo Yunchu held firm.
She wanted to get a drop for Lin Chang’sheng to thank him for looking after her.
If not for Lin Chang’sheng, she probably would have died in the Qiankun Disc already.
"Sect Leader Bai, two drops shouldn’t be too much to ask, right?"
Lin Chang’sheng spoke slowly.
He hadn’t come all this way for nothing, after all.
"Not a problem. You three, come with me!"
To Lin Chang’sheng’s surprise, Bai Baihe agreed readily.
"Sect Leader, you can’t!"
The other elders of the Heaven-Reaching Sect shouted in alarm.
But Bai Baihe just waved them off and led Lin Chang’sheng and the others away.
Except, Bai Baihe wasn’t leading them to where the Divine Liquid was kept.
"Sect Leader’s not taking them to Nine Spirits Valley, but to the forbidden ground. Could it be—"
Suddenly, Third Elder seemed to realize something, and his heart trembled.
