He thought about how Zhang Tian also experienced hallucinations at that time, although Zhang Tian was suffering from qi deviation. He recalled the training method he saw at the Qi Family, realizing that his constitution was the same as Zhang Tian’s, meaning he couldn’t cultivate. Training the body was best avoided as well, as it was still too dangerous. A slight carelessness could lead to falling into hallucinations like Zhang Tian, which were mild. If it were deeper, it would truly lead to qi deviation.
But now, in this isolated situation, Jiang Cheng had no time to worry about anything else. He thought about the training method he had seen earlier, deciding that if he practiced to the first level and stopped, he could then connect to the Illusion Realm and discern Qi Rongfeng’s approximate location, knowing that he could get himself out.
Jiang Cheng settled into a seat, closed his eyes, and recalled the steps. He placed his hands on his knees, gathered his energy at his dantian, tensed body and mind fully, and within seconds, felt an airflow rampaging in his body, feeling like many veins inside were being stretched. Jiang Cheng felt somewhat oppressive.
Jiang Cheng forced down the energy about to burst within his body, slowly managing his breath. As he inhaled and exhaled slowly, he still felt uncomfortable, unable to concentrate as his thoughts began to drift far. He might end up falling into hallucination like Qi Rongfeng before. Jiang Cheng made a great effort to stay awake, controlling his mind as much as possible to maintain clarity. He thought again of the steps he had seen, intending to proceed to the next step.
Just as he lifted his hand, Jiang Cheng felt a dominant airflow rushing out from within his body. He couldn’t bear it anymore; his chest was agitated with pain and completely losing control of his thoughts. Slowly, Jiang Cheng was no longer lucid.
On the other side, Zhao Shuai was completely unaware of Jiang Cheng’s dangerous situation. After Jiang Cheng pushed him out the door, Zhao Shuai quickly called Zhang Tian. Zhang Tian seemed shocked when he answered the phone. Zhao Shuai didn’t have time for pleasantries, succinctly explained his purpose, and rushed to Zhang Tian’s house.
"You should have just called me right there. I could have gone over." Zhang Tian saw an exhausted and breathless Zhao Shuai at the door, somewhat helplessly saying.
"You didn’t say this earlier, saying it now." Zhao Shuai replied in a tone with a hint of dissatisfaction.
"You didn’t give me a chance." Zhang Tian was a bit helpless; he was about to speak when Zhao Shuai hung up, and his subsequent calls went unanswered. It seemed Zhao was indeed hurrying to his house.
"Let’s go now." Zhang Tian suggested.
"Let me in for a drink of water first," Zhao Shuai looked genuinely thirsty, speaking with some difficulty, "Are you going too?"
Zhao Shuai drank several sips and said,
"Of course, Jiang Cheng meant for me to go." Zhang Tian said. But this time he did indeed guess wrong. Jiang Cheng hadn’t intended to involve him.
"No, Jiang only asked me to get the Four-dimensional Mirror from you," Zhao Shuai said.
"Come on, this isn’t going to be simple," said Zhang Tian.
"Jiang wouldn’t get into any trouble, right?" Zhao Shuai asked.
"Even he could face things he can’t handle." Zhang Tian said, his thoughts drifting a bit.
"Oh? I truly don’t believe it; since I met Jiang, he’s been very capable, able to handle anything, and he’s steady yet not lacking moral integrity." Zhao Shuai said, showing a hint of admiration.
Zhang Tian looked at Zhao with some amusement, but regardless, this time...
Zhang Tian felt a bit concerned.
Driving, Zhang Tian soon arrived at the Wula Sect with Zhao Shuai. Entering was still as smooth, and Zhang Tian’s presence drew many people’s attention.
"Contact Jiang Cheng now." Zhang Tian said after parking.
Zhao responded and dialed Jiang Cheng, "Why can’t I get through?" Zhao tried again and still no answer. He started to panic, "Oh no, Jiang might be in trouble." Zhao’s face displayed deep fear.
"Don’t panic yet; where did you last meet him?" Zhang Tian asked.
"There, just ahead." Zhao said, leading Zhang Tian forward. Fortunately, Zhao didn’t get lost this time and quickly found the spot where he had parted with Jiang Cheng.
"It’s here, I was brought into that room over there and couldn’t get out. Jiang came after and got me out. Then Jiang guessed that Rongfeng might be trapped in another dimension and told me to find you for the Four-dimensional Mirror. He waited here for me, but now, where is he?" Zhao turned left and right, very frantic.
"Let’s go ahead." Zhang Tian, from Zhao’s description, figured Zhao must have been confused by someone, but as for where Qi Rongfeng was, Changtian had a different guess.
After walking for a while, Zhang Tian suddenly pulled Zhao behind a large tree to hide. "You, what are you doing?" Zhao was about to ask when Zhang Tian covered his mouth, gesturing him to stay silent.
"How about, did he guess right?" A man’s voice echoed. Zhao peeked and saw the sleek-headed man from that day.
Another man stood facing him, "He guessed right. I don’t know how he knew. Then he said nothing and went in."
"Nothing?" The smooth-headed man was a bit suspicious.
"He did say something, but it was just a few sentences. Initially, he was afraid and unwilling to enter. Later, I told him his friend might not come out, so he went in." The man spoke with a tone hinting at some disdain.
"Afraid? Haha. He’s quite the character; better be cautious. Now both of them are inside. Let’s see how they get out; messing with my people has a price!" The slick-headed man said cruelly.
"Now, one of the three ran away. The other two went in." The man stated.
"One ran away? I saw them still around. What were you seeing?"
The slick-headed man said irritably.
The man stayed silent. "The remaining one wasn’t acting back then, was he?"
"Too guilty, alas, it’s not too good." The man said.
"But, people like them can’t be treated lightly." The slick-headed man spoke with an unfriendly gaze.
"Since he ran, it’s fine. Watch here; he might come back," said the slick-headed man before leaving.
The man glared at the slick-headed man’s back with impatience, "Who does he think he is, bossing me around all day!"
Zhang Tian and Zhao looked as the man turned, not staying, but leaving instead. "That’s them, right?" Zhang Tian asked.
"I don’t know who, but hearing their conversation, it should be them." Zhao said.
"Let’s go; I saw earlier he came out from that house; Jiang probably went into that place and something happened." Zhang Tian said.
"Mm, I think so too," Zhao said, following Zhang Tian to the house the man exited.
Zhao and Zhang walked into the house, seeing its peculiar interior.
"They must have entered the Illusion Realm." Zhang Tian said, looking at the room filled with mirrors.
"So many, how can we know which they went into?" Zhao looked at the mirrors, feeling dizzy.
