Chapter 17

The kiss...

Our lips meet for the shortest minute of my life. I was thinking only about him, wondering how he was better in everything. Even the chewy-ness of his lips were addicting. I couldn't focus, nor bring myself to attend to this guy in front of me. It's as if Aaron clogged my whole mind up.

A mere minute later, I part from the kiss and leave the mam panting for air.

"Damn." He utters under his breath, smirking. I don't want to kill his hopes and say he did a worse job than someone I know. Yet I smile softly and leave the place to go run towards Aaron. I don't know why I've been chasing him for a while now. It's like my heart needs him to be near me.

As soon as he falls in sight, back in my apartment, I hug him.

"Whoa! You're done with your shoot so quick! I just came back—"

"I love you!" I yell. Oh shit.

My tongue betrayed me so bad.

"What? I couldn't hear you!" He says, taking his earphones out.

I stare at him in disdain. What the fuck just happened?

Backing up from him, I give him an awkward smile. I need to flee this place and somehow meet up with Charlie.

"I gotta go to Charlie—"

"Go where?" Charlie pops out from the kitchen with a bag of jello.

"I mean, to Gerroto. We gotta work—"

"We have work? For what again?" Gerroto says, appearing magically from behind Charlie. I thought I was hallucinating these two in my house but Aaron shakes me up. Holding my shoulders stiffly, he has a wide grin on his face. It's almost contiguous, but I remembered why I cancelled everything and came back home anyway.

"N-no. It's nothing. Were chilling at home, is what I wanted to say haha! You guys interrupted me!" I was not being myself and they know it. My cool and composed self flew out of the window and I'm now a stuttering mess.

"But I swore I heard you screaming something."

"She said "I love you!" To someone." Gerroto supports Charlie. Oh shit. I'm in a major mess if I don't cover it up right now!

"Oh, uh... I didn't s-say that! I said I- I love BLUE! Yeah, blue! I was planning to change my curtains to blue!" I excitedly cover it up, almost too unrealistically.

"Uh-huh? You think I'm a fool, Ravine? I know you changed them to grey-green after I told you to put blue. That was only a month ago." He insists. I am so stupid! Of course he said that but my stupid self didn't want too much blue in my house that time.

Now that I look around, Aaron in blue aesthetic looks great too. I'll prefer blue right away, if he is in my scene.

"Well then, there's a new member in the house and I want a photoshoot with him in blue!" I yell. Lie for another lie. This gotta have no end to it now.

"Uh-huh." Charlie folds his arms over his chest and gives me his sassy pose. I hate that pose. I hate it so, so much!

"Well, losers on the leftovers. We were planning to play truth or dare until you intervened, Ravine." The rhyme makes me throw up. I know he did it on purpose to piss me off. Honestly, I couldn't be even more pissy at the situation.

There's Aaron who didn't understand the meaning of words which I yelled. There's Gerroto who appears to have memory recollection difficulty. And There's the idiot who wants me to repeat my words 'clearly'. A whole bunch of idiots living in my house. But instead of arguing, I say,

"Fine then! Let's play truth or dare to see who wins a night with me." I declare.
