Chapter 895 - The War Faction’s Ambition

By the time Han Wu returned from the Martial Arts Civilization, the divine war had been underway for five days.

The True Martial Faction was undeniably weak. Not only were they poor to begin with, but members had also left over the scandal, and the True Martial God King himself was still in soul form, unable to restore his physical body.

Even without Han Wu, the Wisdom Faction could easily crush them without any support from the Wealth Faction. It was total annihilation.

The collapse only accelerated after Han Wu’s return. It took only two more days for Han Wu to lead the main force to the True Martial Faction’s command center. The True Martial God King, in his soul form, was slain in a one-on-one duel against Han Wu.

The war ended on the seventh day. The True Martial Faction wasn’t the most powerful, but it wasn’t weak either. For the Wisdom Faction to win in just seven days was genuinely shocking. Divine wars typically dragged on for three to four months at a minimum.

This put two consecutive divine war wins under the Wisdom Faction’s belt. The first took less than a month, setting a record for the shortest war in the Divine Civilization. The second shattered that record with just seven days.

As the victors, the Wisdom Faction claimed all of the True Martial Faction’s assets. The True Martial Faction was poor, but even a sinking ship had parts worth salvaging. It was a significant haul for a newly established faction like the Wisdom Faction.

Xu Hai distributed the spoils according to merit, strengthening the faction’s members. The True Martial God King’s Divine Jurisdiction was given directly to Han Wu.

The faction’s gains from the war itself were already more than enough profit for Xu Hai. Not to mention, Han Wu had been the one to both weaken the True Martial God King and land the killing blow. In Xu Hai’s mind, the Divine Jurisdiction belonged to Han Wu.

Han Wu was stunned to receive such a valuable major Divine Jurisdiction. This put him at four in total.

The Duel Jurisdiction was already maxed out, and further development required ascending to Duel God King, which Han Wu had no intention of pursuing.

His other two jurisdictions were the Conversion Jurisdiction and the Slaughter Jurisdiction. The Conversion Jurisdiction was also nearing its cap. Although the Slaughter Jurisdiction was progressing quickly, it was still in its early stages.

As for the new True Martial Jurisdiction, it was closely related to his Duel Jurisdiction. Han Wu wanted to combine them for more powerful results.

Before absorbing the True Martial Jurisdiction, however, Han Wu needed to finish maxing out the Conversion Jurisdiction to make room.

After ten days of training in seclusion, Han Wu brute-forced the last bit of progress on the Conversion Jurisdiction using Divine Essence.

The Conversion Jurisdiction was finally completed. It produced an effect called Energy Conservation, which allowed Han Wu to convert any type of elemental energy with zero loss. It was simple and devastatingly effective. With this, Han Wu no longer had to worry about any energy-based attack.

With the Conversion Jurisdiction complete, he could finally integrate the True Martial Jurisdiction. As a major jurisdiction, it needed a powerful ability as its vessel. After careful consideration, Han Wu chose Merge.

Merge and the True Martial Jurisdiction underwent changes with this loading. The True Martial Jurisdiction’s core function was to accelerate the comprehension of any technique and speed up the mastery of martial skills. When paired with Merge, the effect shifted to automatically fuse any technique into a stronger, more personalized version tailored to Han Wu.

The Kunpeng Divine Art, originally an incomplete technique from the Martial Arts Civilization, was fully refined under the True Martial Jurisdiction’s influence. It was no longer incompatible with other techniques.

If Han Wu wished, he could feed any technique into the Kunpeng Divine Art and strengthen it further. The same applied to skills. He could combine multiple skills and optimize them with the True Martial Jurisdiction.

Han Wu spent a massive amount of Divine Essence purchasing martial techniques and skills in bulk. He then used Avatar Creation to study them at a thousand times the normal rate. At the same time, Xun used its trained cultivation abilities to devour techniques at a furious pace.

Through their combined efforts, the True Martial Jurisdiction’s progress steadily climbed. Han Wu’s techniques and martial skills grew increasingly refined. His strength continued to grow.

Meanwhile, War God King Zhong Heng received news of the True Martial God King’s defeat with a fearful anger. His saving grace was that his role in the scheme had been limited to behind-the-scenes guidance. If he’d been directly involved, the War Faction would’ve likely been targeted next.

However, that didn’t change the fact that the Wisdom Faction and Han Wu were growing stronger by the day. That unsettled him. A clash between the War Faction and the Wisdom Faction seemed inevitable.

The War Faction still held the sixth spot on the Divine Civilization’s faction rankings, but the loss of the Butcher and Evilspawn meant their true strength had declined significantly. Only Pious was left holding things together.

The road ahead would be bumpy for the War Faction. Zhong Heng needed to find a way forward.

A knock came at the door. It was Pious. Zhong Heng let him in and asked what brought him. Pious handed over a letter.

Zhong Heng opened it. The exhaustion vanished from his face as he read the contents.

“This is a gift from the heavens! A gift for the War Faction!” He burst into delighted laughter.

Pious stepped forward. “Father, what does it say?”

Zhong Heng showed him the letter.

“Father, is this real?” Pious asked.

Zhong Heng nodded. “It contains code that only the Butcher and I share. It’s absolutely real.”

Pious drew a sharp breath. “Ten billion Huang Shengjun soldiers. With an army like that, we could dominate the entire Divine Civilization!”
