The War Saint Locustman raised its spike-bound arm at a nearby boulder and said in a low voice, “Stinger Holy Sword.”
The spike turned brilliant gold, emanating the pressure of a 9-Star Divine Weapon. The Locustman then appeared in front of the boulder, thrusting the spike outward, and the boulder silently disintegrated into particles too fine to see.
Han Wu recognized that the technique was far more powerful than it appeared. Even at his Microcosm strength, he wouldn’t escape unscathed from that strike. The fact that an Earthsunder-rank creature could deal damage to a Microcosm rank target spoke volumes.
“Amazing!” Han Wu praised.
With a guard in place, Han Wu no longer had to hide. It was time to go on the offensive. He even already had a plan for navigating.
Back in his divine realm, his army of avatars was monitoring more than 100,000 live feeds and mapping the optimal route.
In the east lay a forest that was home to an ultimate-tier Puppet Beast at the World rank, making it too dangerous for now.
West held a village with a church, where over a thousand mature-tier Ghoulsprites hid. These were ghost-type sprites with high physical resistance, but with a potential vulnerability to fire.
In the south was a deep pond with an unknown number of aquatic Digital Sprites and a temple at its center.
Finally, the north held the mountains where a Centaursprite tribe lived—another suitable target.
Han Wu still had 250,000 Divine Essence, enough to either unlock a regular evolution line or summon more guards. After mulling over the intel, he decided to first check the easy targets to get a return on his investment.
First up, Han Wu went west to the Ghoulsprite village, riding on the War Saint Locustman’s shoulder to get there. His avatars had already mapped and monitored every inch of the village, giving him a god’s-eye view of the layout.
Han Wu knew where every single Ghoulsprite was hiding the moment he entered the village. He even knew which bushes had dog droppings.
A disguised Ghoulsprite approached him enthusiastically and promoted the village’s magnificent church. Han Wu knew that over a thousand Ghoulsprites were lurking inside, ready to drain any visitor dry.
Han Wu played along, putting on a show of fascination. Meanwhile, he’d secretly already spent 100,000 energy points to summon an ultimate-tier Nuclear Locust and sent it toward the church.
The disguised Ghoulsprite led the way, and the church soon came into distant view. The Ghoulsprite, pretending to be a devotee, praised it incessantly, “See? I’m not lying. Our church is very grand!”
Han Wu nodded and secretly commanded the Nuclear Locust to attack. The disguised Ghoulsprite could only watch as a mushroom cloud bloomed over the church. A powerful explosion destroyed everything within a single kilometer.
The shockwave nearly knocked Han Wu off his feet, but the War Saint Locustman caught him. The disguised Ghoulsprite’s words froze in its throat. The grand church was gone.
“Seems like your faith wasn’t very devout,” Han Wu remarked to the stunned Ghoulsprite.
The Ghoulsprite couldn’t hold its disguise any longer. An outsider like Han Wu deserved to die for mocking their faith!
The Ghoulsprite tore off its disguise, but the War Saint Locustman struck with Death Pierce before it could do anything. All the War Saint Locustman’s power was concentrated into a single point. Even with 99% physical resistance, the Ghoulsprite couldn’t survive the remaining 1% of Death Pierce’s force, and it shattered into data.
Han Wu absorbed the energy points and evolution points. The thousand-plus Ghoulsprites yielded 150,000 energy points and 30,000 evolution points. It was a solid profit.
Several materials survived the blast as well. There were over 200 Ghost Crystals, a Nether Scripture, and a Devout Crucifix. The Ghost Crystals were regular items and didn’t cost much Divine Essence.
The Nether Scripture and the Devout Crucifix, on the other hand, were quite valuable. The two weren’t dropped from the Ghoulsprite but instead actual materials! The fact that they had survived the nuclear blast was a testament to their high quality.
He touched the two items to check their descriptions.

Han Wu knew he’d struck gold. These materials were premium items for custom evolution paths. One was for ultimate-tier Digital Sprites and the other for perfect-tier.
