When the paralysis wore off, the Chameleonsprite found itself surrounded. Han Wu’s Digital Sprites closed in and beat it into data with sheer physical force. It scattered into nothing.
The Chameleonsprite’s death alerted its owner, who immediately realized they had been discovered.
“We’ve been spotted. No point hiding anymore. There’s no way one person can take all three of us!” the owner shouted.
The other two contestants agreed and charged toward Han Wu with their Digital Sprites in tow.
Through his avatars, Han Wu already knew that the enemy force consisted of twelve Digital Sprites. Two of them were the Concealsprite, the Chameleonsprite’s ultimate evolution. They lurked behind the visible ones, completely invisible and ready to strike at any time.
Facing the incoming group, Han Wu smiled. “Iron Abyss Bug, it’s your time to shine!”
The Iron Abyss Bug lumbered forward and activated Authority. Golden energy engulfed it, evolving into the Golden Scarab. Once the transformation was complete, the Golden Scarab faced the three charging contestants and their twelve Digital Sprites, then unleashed Forced Defecation.
In the next instant, the three contestants’ faces darkened. A powerful urge surged through their guts, forcing them to slow down. Behind them, their Digital Sprites displayed even less self-control. The unmistakable sounds of release filled the air as every one of them unloaded on the spot.
The two invisible Concealsprites became fully visible the moment they lost control and were thoroughly occupied.
The three contestants immediately realized that some kind of ability had affected them.
“Brothers, hold it in. Whatever you do, hold it,” the first contestant said through clenched teeth, his face beet-red.
“Right. This is being broadcast. Countless members of powerful families are watching us,” the second one added.
“I don’t think I can hold it much longer,” the third contestant said, straining with everything he had.
There was a saying: “You can hold your bladder for a hundred miles, but a loose bowel won’t let you take a single step.” At that moment, nothing described the three contestants more accurately.
Han Wu held his Digital Sprites back. He simply watched from twenty meters away while urging the Golden Scarab to use Forced Defecation at maximum frequency.
The pressure tormented the third contestant. He felt gas building in his gut, desperate to escape.
“It’s just gas. It has to be just gas. I’m just going to let out a little air,” he told himself as he relaxed ever so slightly.
He then lost control, and an explosive chain of splattering sounds erupted and echoed across the entire broadcast feed.
The viewers fell dead silent, collectively holding their breath as though the stench would leak through the screen.
The sound seemed to carry a contagious power. The other two contestants felt the urge intensify tenfold.
“Hold on! Don’t fart! Don’t trust a single fart! It’s not gas!” the second contestant screamed at the first.
The first contestant desperately wanted to hold the line. He just couldn’t. A series of deep, muffled blasts rumbled from behind him like underwater depth charges. His pants turned a deep shade of yellow.
The second contestant felt as though he were suffocating. He fought with everything he had, refusing to let go. This was a live broadcast, and countless people were watching. If he lost control there, it would be no different from doing it in public.
The other two, however, didn’t share his determination. Caught between overwhelming relief and soul-crushing embarrassment, they exchanged a look. They knew they were already finished. They were socially dead, yet one brother remained standing with his dignity intact. That wouldn’t do. True brothers went down together.
The two of them flanked the second contestant in a pincer formation and moved closer step by step. Splattering and rumbling accompanied each step, and every footprint they left behind was yellow.
The second contestant felt himself losing control and nearly burst into tears as he shouted, “Stop! Please stop! I’m scared!”
They didn’t stop. They kept closing in.
The viewers were simultaneously revolted and glued to their screens, desperate to see whether the second contestant could hold out.
“Get away from me!” the second contestant snarled.
He definitely knew what his companions were trying to do, but the effort of shouting caused a momentary lapse in his lower body’s defenses. What followed was a sustained chain of eruptions that sounded like a tractor engine turning over.
The second contestant stood frozen in place, as if struck by lightning.
The viewers collectively exhaled. Everyone had fallen. They could rest easy now.
After a brief silence, chaos erupted.
All three contestants screamed at Han Wu almost in unison, “I’ll kill you!”
Never in their lives had they felt such a burning desire to kill someone. The event’s rules restrained them, though. They had no real combat power of their own. All attacks had to come from their Digital Sprites, and those were already so exhausted that they were on the verge of collapse. They had no way to fight back.
The viewers assumed that this was already the climax of the broadcast. They were wrong. Han Wu had one more move.
“Golden Scarab, use Dung Ball Launch,” he said gently.
The Golden Scarab obeyed. The endless supply of waste littering the area answered its call, swirling together into a dung ball four meters in diameter.
“No! Please, no!” The three contestants shook their heads in unison and tried to run.
Sadly, their legs had gone soft from the ordeal, and they couldn’t escape. The dung ball rolled forward in a straight line, sweeping up the three contestants and their twelve Digital Sprites. It carried them fifty meters before slamming into a boulder and bursting apart.
The three contestants and their Digital Sprites lay buried in waste, unable to climb out. They weren’t dead, but they wished they were.
