Han Wu lay in the room that the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King had arranged for him, mind racing as he turned over the burning questions in his mind.
What’s up with the World Tree? Why doesn’t the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King just go to pick the fruit itself? Is it lacking in strength? Does it not have enough forces? Or is there something at the World Tree that serves as the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King’s natural enemy?
After considering various possibilities, Han Wu felt the natural enemy theory was the most likely. Moreover, that enemy was probably a dragon-type Digital Sprite. The Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King had most likely sent for him after learning that Yinglong had the Dragon Bane skill.
Its strength couldn’t be anything ordinary if it could stand up against the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King. Han Wu seriously doubted whether his ultimate Digital Sprites could match it.
If he wanted to complete the mission to pick the World Tree’s fruit, he had to make the best use of every resource at his disposal to strengthen his Digital Sprites.
The Fusion Chip in his hands was the critical piece of these preparations. The question was which two Digital Sprites to choose for the Fusion Evolution. On top of that, the two needed to share a deep bond. That was an incredibly tall order. Even Digital Sprites born as twins couldn’t necessarily achieve that level of synchronization.
Unless one is being controlled by the other? That could be enough to create the connection.
Han Wu already had candidates in mind if that approach worked. He summoned the Lust Umbral Demoness. She arched an eyebrow, her gaze filled with endless allure, her seductive figure enough to enthrall any living creature.
At this point, Han Wu’s live stream was flooded with comments.
“Love it. Keep it coming.”
“He should let the Umbral Demoness out more often.”
“This isn’t about to turn into pay-per-view content, is it? I’m kind of looking forward to it.”
Han Wu’s avatars scrolled through the comments with a collective snort of disdain. He wasn’t that kind of person! The stream was live. Even if he had the nerve, he wouldn’t have the guts.[1]
Pointedly coughing once, Han Wu summoned Yinglong, the one with Dragon Bane.
“Demoness, charm Yinglong and make it obey you. Yinglong, don’t resist,” Han Wu instructed.
The Lust Umbral Demoness nodded, glancing at Yinglong. Instantly, Yinglong’s eyes went blank and glassy. It would do as the Lust Umbral Demoness ordered without question.
Han Wu couldn’t help but marvel at the Lust Umbral Demoness’s power. She was born to captivate with her Lethal Attraction and was capable of charming creatures across entirely different species with ease. In the future, she would be one of his greatest assets.
Pulling out the Fusion Chip, he handed a piece to each of them. The Fusion Evolution triggered the instant the two activated the chip. Their two forms overlapped and merged within a pillar of dark light, completing the evolution.
A striking figure covered in elegant, form-fitting scale armor and radiating a uniquely dangerous allure appeared before Han Wu.
Han Wu quickly checked the fused Digital Sprite’s stats.

The Dark Dragoness’s rank was still at Microcosm rank, but Han Wu could feel that her true combat power was approaching Subcosm rank. In terms of individual fighting strength, the Dark Dragoness was the single most powerful Digital Sprite he owned.
“Not bad.” Han Wu looked her over with an approving nod.
The Dark Dragoness tested her own body, getting used to her newly gained power. This strength still couldn’t match the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King, but it was enough to cover Han Wu’s retreat if things went awry. That alone boosted Han Wu’s confidence in the mission.
At dawn, the Heavyarmor Raptor from before came to find Han Wu and escort him to the mission area. Han Wu didn’t hesitate, gathering his Digital Sprites to follow the Heavyarmor Raptor along with the rest of the dragon-type Digital Sprite escort.
The contestant squads waiting outside the territory had been planning to intercept Han Wu, but the sheer ferocity of the escort led by the Heavyarmor Raptor scared them off.
Han Wu was happy to enjoy the easy ride. Before long, they arrived at a place called the World Tree Forest. This was the central region of the Kingdom of Sin. The dragon-attribute Digital Sprites stopped at the forest’s edge and refused to go any closer.
“The Tyrannosprite King awaits your good news,” the Heavyarmor Raptor said in human tongue.
It seemed the rest of the road was Han Wu’s alone.
He summoned every ultimate Digital Sprite he had. With Stinger leading the War Saint Locustman legion to act as his scouts, Han Wu officially stepped into the World Tree Forest.
They were attacked the moment they entered.
Swarms of Digital Sprites with leaves or flowers sprouting from their heads rushed in to stop their group from advancing. Han Wu showed no mercy toward these weak Digital Sprites and ordered them to be destroyed immediately.
The Gluttony Heavenly Dog leaped out, opened its massive jaws, and activated Moon Eater. A violent suction erupted from its mouth, pulling the weaker Digital Sprites in and swallowing them whole. The Gluttony Heavenly Dog’s strength grew slightly after digesting them.
That little skirmish was only an appetizer for entering the World Tree Forest. As they walked deeper, Han Wu discovered that the interior of the forest was essentially a massive kingdom made up of every kind of Digital Sprite imaginable.
There were many plant-type Digital Sprites, but they were individually weak. Not long after, a wave of insect-type Digital Sprites swarmed in. The Gluttony Heavenly Dog and the Greed Neo Vampsprite attacked together.
The Gluttony Heavenly Dog swallowed some, while the Greed Neo Vampsprite’s summoned familiars drained the rest. Han Wu reaped 800,000 energy points and 40,000 evolution points.
This massacre appeared to have drawn attention because an ultimate Digital Sprite soon appeared to block their path. Han Wu identified it as a Gold Saber Leosprite. Among the ultimate Digital Sprites, it was fairly average and ranked somewhere in the middle in strength.
However, it had a formidable skill called King of Beasts, which suppressed any beast-type Digital Sprite in its presence. The Gluttony Heavenly Dog couldn’t bring out even half of its strength while standing before the Gold Saber Leosprite.
Fortunately, Han Wu had plenty of other powerful Digital Sprites to call on. On his command, the Golden Scarab hit the Gold Saber Leosprite with Forced Defecation, then the Greed Neo Vampsprite’s familiars swarmed in while the Machinedrasprite followed up with Turbo Claw strikes.
It didn’t take long for the Gold Saber Leosprite to be beaten into scattered data and dissipate into the air. It dropped a piece of fine fur and two saber fangs, all of which Han Wu pocketed.
They were still only halfway to the World Tree.
