The destructive power of Gaia Force grew with its size, scaling rapidly with every passing second. Suddenly, the War Tyrannosprite King was hit by a sudden urge in its bowels, breaking its concentration on the energy sphere.
“Who did that?” bellowed the War Tyrannosprite King.
Han Wu didn’t step out, but his strongest Digital Sprite did. The Dark Dragoness walked into the open. When the War Tyrannosprite King noticed the Dark Courage Shield strapped to her back, its expression turned vicious.
“How do you have that shield—No, go back. I’m the one in control of this body—World Tree, let me control my own body—” Conflicting voices streamed out from the War Tyrannosprite King’s mouth.
Han Wu could see the War Tyrannosprite King and the World Tree fighting over control through the live stream. The trigger was the Dark Courage Shield that the Dark Dragoness carried, which had originally belonged to the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King.
A single shield is enough to make the War Tyrannosprite King defy the World Tree and fight for control? Is its resentment toward the Dark Courage Shield that deep, or is something else going on?
Han Wu mulled it over and ordered the Dark Dragoness to check on the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King. He knew perfectly well that he would be next if the War Tyrannosprite King finished off the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King.
His forces alone couldn’t beat the War Tyrannosprite King. Helping the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King survive meant gaining an ally and increasing his chances of survival.
The Dark Dragoness found the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King badly wounded. Its injuries were severe enough to cripple its fighting ability, and it needed healing immediately.
Han Wu immediately sent a swarm of Bloodfang Bats over to treat its wounds. Meanwhile, the War Tyrannosprite King seemed to have persuaded the World Tree to grant it control of its body once more.
“Why is your Dark Courage Shield on her?” it asked angrily.

The Dark Dragoness’s original form was the Lust Umbral Demoness, and her greatest talent was in seduction. When she sensed the War Tyrannosprite King’s emotional turmoil, she smirked playfully and deliberately went to support the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King.
“Don’t you touch him!” the War Tyrannosprite King roared, closing the distance in a flash and bringing a massive claw strike down on the Dark Dragoness.
The Dark Dragoness activated her War Dragon Form, blocked the blow with the Dark Courage Shield, and countered with an Infinity Arm strike. The War Tyrannosprite King was too enraged to bother gathering energy for a ranged blast and went straight into close combat.
The War Tyrannosprite King was stronger, but the Dark Dragoness could still hold out for a bit while the Bloodfang Bats healed the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King. The Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King surveyed the battle with its trembling cross-shaped pupils. If not for Han Wu’s intervention and healing, it would have died.
“Help me!” the Dark Dragoness called out as soon as she sensed that the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King was awake.
“Don’t you dare get involved!” the War Tyrannosprite King screamed at the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King, fury blazing to new heights.
The Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King was a smart Digital Sprite and could clearly distinguish friend from foe. Without any hesitation, it threw itself into the fray and turned it into a two against one fight.
At a disadvantage, the War Tyrannosprite King was forced to fight defensively. The Dark Dragoness seized an opening and trapped it inside a Black Coffin. While it was sealed, the Pride Dark Tyrannosprite King gathered Dark Gaia Force.
The moment the War Tyrannosprite King broke free, the massive energy sphere slammed into it head-on. The thorns covering its body took severe damage. In its fused state, however, its regeneration was limitless, and its injuries healed at blinding speed.
When Han Wu saw this, he immediately brought more Digital Sprites into the fight.
Stinger, in its full form as the Envy Stinger Locustman King, absorbed the other War Saint Locustmen’s power and drove a devastating thrust at the War Tyrannosprite King. The Sloth Machinedrasprite Fortress unleashed a barrage of its Multi Infinity Cannons and Dragon Ray at the War Tyrannosprite King. The Greed Neo Vampsprite activated its killing move Heart Strike as it channeled massive Dark Energy into a concentrated blast.
This combined bombardment dealt damage at a rate faster than the War Tyrannosprite King could heal. Its injuries slowly stacked up.
Then the Gluttony Heavenly Dog stepped up and used Moon Eater to swallow the War Tyrannosprite King whole. With the power of Gluttony, the War Tyrannosprite King was digested within the Heavenly Dog’s stomach, generating huge amounts of energy for it to absorb.
The fusion of the War Tyrannosprite King and the World Tree made for a ridiculously tough opponent. They fought their way free, only to be dragged back into the group assault before it could unleash a powerful blow.
After four cycles of this, the World Tree finally realized it couldn’t break through the wall of Digital Sprites. If this kept going, the Gluttony Heavenly Dog, which had already devoured the War Tyrannosprite King four times, would break through to the Subcosm rank.
Escaping from its stomach would become far more difficult if that happened. On top of that, Han Wu had used energy points to summon a War Angel. Though only at the Heavenrender rank, the War Angel had Holy Covenant, a skill that traded her life to take an enemy down with her. She couldn’t fully kill the War Tyrannosprite King, but she could take a significant chunk of its remaining life.
Finally accepting that it couldn’t win, the World Tree decisively separated from the War Tyrannosprite King’s body and used the Will of the Sprite Civilization to flee.
The War Tyrannosprite King collapsed into a weakened state once the fusion was undone. Powerful Digital Sprites surrounded it, and it realized that it had lost completely.
The most hurtful part was that the World Tree, which it had revered above all else, had abandoned it and fled. The War Tyrannosprite King had always treated the World Tree as its mother, but in that moment, its heart went cold.
