Chapter 466 - 83: Is This What a Genius Is Like?

This was one of the perks of being a Peak Master. It was incredibly precious and even had a slight effect of Spirit Nurturing Enlightenment. Drinking it over a long period would be of considerable help in improving his Spirit Nurturing Technique.

Of course, since it was a type of Enlightenment Tea, it wasn’t just effective for the Spirit Nurturing Technique; it worked for any Technique, which made it all the more precious.

Therefore, he didn’t have much of it. He had only been on Spirit Nurturing Peak for a year, so he hadn’t received a large share.

The entire small pouch only contained about a tael. Because the jade-like leaves were quite heavy, this only amounted to a few dozen leaves. If he was extravagant, he could use it all up in two pots of tea!

Even if he was frugal, he could only make four pots at most. Any less, and he wouldn’t be brewing tea; he’d just be boiling water!

Because Zhang Deming’s Spirit Nurturing Technique didn’t require these things for improvement, he had been saving it, thinking he might use it to entertain an honored guest someday.

After all, living in the Flying Spring Waterfall Tower, he had to maintain a certain image, didn’t he?

Zhang Deming carefully took out a little less than half, paused, then poured out a bit more. He stopped only when he had about half in total.

After sealing the remaining tea leaves and carefully putting them away, Zhang Deming took the teapot and returned to the observation deck-like loft at the top of the tower.

First, Zhang Deming took out his Identity Card and sent a message.

Then, he raised his hand, and a ball of light appeared. The Mirror Image of Feng Mingyou quickly merged into his body, and Zhang Deming’s entire demeanor changed.

Then, using his Duality-level Cultivation and Feng Mingyou’s professional Tea Dao expertise, Zhang Deming put in great effort and began to earnestly brew the tea.

His own Spirituality and the Dao Essence of the Three-Star Enlightenment Tea began to slowly intertwine. Instantly, by the cliffside waterfall, atop the Jade Pavilion, Zhang Deming focused on brewing his tea.

His entire being radiated a transcendent air, as if it were completely natural. A very unique aura rose from him.

After a long while, Zhang Deming paused slightly. Without stopping his movements or raising his head, he spoke, "Master Dang, you’ve arrived? Please, have a seat."

At that moment, outside the Flying Spring Waterfall Tower, from the direction of Celestial Spirit Peak, Dang Xiangjun could be seen treading on air, strolling toward the tower.

He was clearly walking slowly, but with every step he took, a white Jade Disc would appear beneath his foot, and his entire figure would flicker, instantly covering a great distance.

Thus, just as Zhang Deming finished speaking, the man had already arrived inside the tower. The Arrays along the way had no effect on him—or rather, they offered no resistance to the Identity Token at his waist.

He entered the tower and watched Zhang Deming’s skill in brewing tea. He paused, then said, "You have the leisure to take Tea Dao as a Minor?"

Zhang Deming smiled and said, "I once took on a specialized request. Although I didn’t continue to study it much afterward, I still use this foundation from time to time, so I haven’t gotten rusty. It doesn’t count as a Minor."

Hearing this, Dang Xiangjun paused for a moment and gave a wry smile. "Spirit Nurturing Masters really are..."

He couldn’t find the right words to describe what they really were.

Zhang Deming smiled. "Weren’t you, Master Dang, almost a ’treasure boy’ yourself back in the day?"

The two words "treasure boy" made Dang Xiangjun blink, yet he found them oddly fitting. After a moment, he said, "Even if I had become one back then, I would have been a ’treasure man’ at best. As for ’boy,’ I never had that kind of talent."

Zhang Deming paused. Dang Xiangjun continued, "Only someone of your age—your physical age, that is—could still be considered a ’boy’."

’Is he saying I’m acting young? Is he serious?!’

"There are countless Three Talents Cultivators in the Sect, but how many have reached your level, Master Dang? If you say your talent is lacking, then we Disciples would be too ashamed to ever claim we have achieved anything in our Cultivation or have any talent to speak of."

After a slight pause, Zhang Deming smiled as he replied, pouring a cup of tea. He continued, "Please, try it, Master. This is the new Enlightenment Tea from our Spirit Nurturing Peak this year."

Hearing this, Dang Xiangjun laughed. "Then I must savor it. Among all the Enlightenment Teas from the various peaks, yours from Spirit Nurturing Peak is the very best."

With that, Dang Xiangjun sat down, and the two of them quietly sipped their tea.

After a long while, Dang Xiangjun spoke again. "Good tea, excellent skill."

Zhang Deming smiled. "It’s just a minor trick. I’m not worthy of such praise from you, Master."

Dang Xiangjun paused, looked at Zhang Deming, and got to the main point. "I heard you’ve truly reached Tier Four?"

Zhang Deming laughed. "Your sources are well-informed, Master. That’s right, this Disciple has indeed become a Law-Level Spirit Nurturer."

"And you also went to the Wu Earth Secret Realm?" Dang Xiangjun continued.

Zhang Deming nodded. "Yes. I sent you a message as soon as I returned."

"What are your thoughts on it?" Dang Xiangjun asked, his expression unreadable.

The question was abrupt, but it made Zhang Deming pause for a moment before smiling. "This Disciple’s thoughts aren’t important. What’s important is how the Sect sees it. After all, even you, Master Dang, don’t have the final say in the Sect.

As for this Disciple’s opinion...

If this Disciple had any objections, you wouldn’t be sitting here right now, Master. You’d be sitting in the Celestial Spirit Hall."

Dang Xiangjun looked at Zhang Deming and said, "As expected, I couldn’t hide it from you. But do you know why I didn’t tell you in advance?"

Zhang Deming smiled and replied, "As a Law-Level Spirit Nurturer, if this Disciple couldn’t even tell the difference between a person and a plant in the ground, then my breakthrough to Tier Four would have been far too lucky.

As for why you didn’t say anything, this Disciple has a rough idea. After all, no matter how you look at it, and no matter how sufficient the reasons, this matter falls into the category of the Demon Path. You have your own considerations, Master. This Disciple understands."

Hearing this, Dang Xiangjun let out a soft sigh of relief. Then he continued to ask, "And?"

It was another abrupt question. Zhang Deming, however, sipped his tea and said with a slight smile, "It went fairly smoothly. I’ve already written the prescription. If it’s followed, and with a bit of luck, the affliction should be cured."

Dang Xiangjun was overjoyed. "Really?"

Zhang Deming looked at him and nodded seriously. "Really."

"That’s good, that’s good!" At that moment, Dang Xiangjun’s entire body relaxed. His aura suddenly surged, and the resulting wave of energy nearly knocked over the surrounding tea set.

Zhang Deming was startled for a moment and quickly reached out to shield it.
