Chapter 1029 - 1056: Enmity with Me (1)

Almost there?

This answer was ambiguous, and Koa Jackson felt a bit depressed.

After thinking slightly, he asked, "Should I come over and wait for you?"

The Fourth Hospital and Sunshining Network are not in the same direction at all; it would be a waste of time for Koa Jackson to look for her.

Mia Ginger quickly objected, "No need. How about you head over first, and I’ll call you right after work, then I’ll come over."

"..." Koa Jackson was silent for a moment, "Alright."

"Okay, we’ll talk after work." Mia Ginger hung up the phone.

Her gaze fell onto the computer screen, as she sighed weakly.

Before clocking out, Reagon Chapman assigned her a bunch of tasks, unlike yesterday. This time it was to browse Twitter herself, screen and compare, find valuable news leads, then direct message the bloggers to establish contact, keeping valuable leads for tomorrow.

This task sounds simple, but doing it is quite troublesome.

After all—

First, the rants on Twitter may not necessarily be the truth; second, bloggers can’t always be reached.

She had to wait.

Mia Ginger waited for over ten minutes, then shut down her computer.

Pursing her lips and thinking slightly, she stepped forward to Reagon Chapman, "Sister Chapman."

Once she spoke, she felt a bit depressed.

Reagon Chapman was watching a program, a news investigation show.

Why can’t she watch it elsewhere?

Clearly, she’s deliberately wasting time.

Upon hearing her call, she glanced up casually at her, "Did you find any valuable leads?"

"Yes." Mia Ginger nodded.

"Share tomorrow morning’s schedule?" Reagon Chapman continued.

"The bloggers haven’t replied to me yet."

"Not a single reply?"

"I feel that the few valuable ones haven’t replied to me yet."

"Haha."

Reagon Chapman turned herself towards her direction, "What a coincidence? How many people did you message?"

"More than twenty."

Reagon Chapman placed one arm on the desktop, bending her fingers to tap, "Too few. Finding leads is like searching for a needle in a haystack; you have to be both sharp and careful. Keep going."

Mia Ginger: "..."

She was really at the brink of her patience, and with a calm voice said, "I think I can do this at home; I don’t necessarily have to stay in the office to finish it. Besides, I have plans tonight, and there’s not enough time."

"This is how being a journalist works; the work schedule is difficult to regulate. If you can’t stand it, why choose it? Going home to be a pampered lady would be good?"

Mia Ginger chuckled, looking at her without speaking, her eyes revealing a rather complex emotion, continuing, "I chose it based on ideals; of course, I’m prepared to sacrifice and dedicate. But that doesn’t mean I need to make unnecessary sacrifices for meaningless proof; it really doesn’t have much significance."

She said these words with earnestness, causing Reagon Chapman to choke for a moment, then bluntly said, "Once you’ve finalized tomorrow’s interview topic, you can go."

"Alright."

Upon Mia Ginger’s voice landing, she turned and walked out.

Reagon Chapman exhaled, watching her back.

Unexpectedly—

Mia Ginger grabbed her bag and just left.

Reagon Chapman: "!"

This person, doesn’t she understand what I mean?

Reagon Chapman stiffened, biting her lip, directly turning the chair in the opposite direction, watching the screen in gloom.

Actually, she hadn’t seen Dallas Taylor in a while, going home each day to a cold stove and empty pot, marriage or not made no difference, seeing Mia Ginger naturally displeased her. Besides, after hopping jobs, it hasn’t been too smooth.

Firstly, because she hasn’t managed to convince the youngsters on the social news team, and secondly, because working at Sunshining Network is not very favorable.
