"Do not complain too quickly, this will still be useful to you."
Vivienne spoke up. Lucian stared at her, waiting for her to explain, and she continued.
"Till now, you have only actually fought Demonic Hosts. You have seen some Enclave Hunters fight, but because you have only been aware of the Supernatural World for a very short time, you know very little about the other races."
Lucian nodded at those words.
That was correct.
All the information he had on other races mostly came from what he had read so far, nothing more.
"Aevrienne’s Call will bring young prodigies from all over the Supernatural World."
Vivienne continued.
"Vampire nobles, Werewolf heirs, Witches from old families, Independent Hunters who aren’t connected with the Enclave, and more.
Some of the beings coming today may very well lead their races in the future."
And the instant Lucian heard those words, his expression changed.
"The future leaders are coming...?"
"They aren’t guaranteed to be the future leaders, but they will have quite a say in their races, especially if they manage to contract Aevrienne."
Vivienne nodded.
"This is your opportunity to observe them.
Learn how they behave.
Learn how their factions operate.
Feel their energy.
Understand what exists beyond the Enclave and demons."
Lucian’s eyes began shining. Vivienne saw the look in his eyes and very quickly—
"This is not permission to provoke everyone you meet."
She spoke with a solemn look on her face.
"I wasn’t thinking that."
Lucian answered innocently.
"Lucian."
Vivienne called his name with a serious look on her face and Lucian’s face changed as well.
"I won’t do it, Teacher. I have no desire to provoke Supernatural Heirs, I will only observe them, just like you told me to."
"Good."
Vivienne nodded.
"When do I leave?"
He asked.
"Ask Claire, tell her you are available."
Vivienne shrugged as she then glanced at Evelyn and—
"You."
She called her.
"Go to your room and rest."
"Where are you going?"
Lucian questioned with a frown, but as usual, Vivienne completely ignored him and walked away.
"Tsk."
Lucian snorted.
He then glanced at Evelyn and, with a gentle smile on his face, cupped her cheek and—
"Take care of yourself, okay?"
He spoke in a very gentle tone.
"You too."
Evelyn nodded.
She was still worried about Lucian, especially after everything he had been through during his ’training’.
And while he did say Red Quiet helped him take on most of the impact, Evelyn’s mind wasn’t completely at ease.
Lucian looked at her, he knew what she was thinking and what worried her, so he pulled her close and gave her a light peck on the lips. Evelyn showed a light smile.
"Go rest."
Lucian spoke gently. Evelyn nodded as she walked towards her room.
Then, once Lucian was left alone, he let out a sigh, took out his phone, and called Claire.
[What is it?]
Claire answered after just a few rings. From her tone, it was clear how busy she was and Lucian could imagine that.
This was a Cleaner’s nightmare.
They kept hiding the Supernatural World from the normal world, and now, one of the strongest existences in the world was making a worldwide announcement of her awakening, calling thousands of supernatural participants without having any intention of hiding anything.
Lucian could imagine what the Cleaners were going through right now.
"I called to say that if you need people to guard Aevrienne’s Shrine, I am available."
So Lucian, too, did not waste her time with his stupid jokes and jumped right to the topic.
[Come to the Cleaners Wing.]
Claire instructed.
"Yes."
Lucian nodded.
The call was disconnected and Lucian began walking as instructed.
And about an hour later, Lucian was sitting inside what looked like an Army Transport Truck.
The vehicle was large, dark, and completely closed from the outside. There were two rows of seats inside, facing each other. Most of the people inside were Demon-Class Blood-Altered Humans.
And not just Desire Demons.
There were others.
Pride.
Greed.
Envy.
Gluttony.
Wrath.
Sloth.
Blood from all Seven Courts was in here.
Lucian observed them with great interest.
He could feel their blood and how different it was from his.
For example, the large man sitting near the rear door carried the blood of a Wrath Demon. His skin felt... warmer than the others, his breathing was heavier as well.
Then, on the other side, there sat a well-dressed man, he had the blood of a Pride Demon. His posture remained straight even inside the moving truck, and he had that look of superiority, as if everyone around him was beneath him.
Lucian only smiled at that.
His gaze then moved to the woman beside him, she had the blood of a Greed Demon. Lucian could see her gazing at the weapons, Artifact cases, and every other piece of equipment inside the vehicle.
There was also a quiet man sitting near Lucian, he had Sloth blood. His head rested against the metal wall, his eyes half-closed, he looked like he could sleep even while standing.
There was also a thin woman with Envy blood, a broad man with Gluttony blood, and two others connected to the Court of Desire.
And this was only one of the trucks, others were coming behind them.
Considering that Demon-Class Blood-Altered Humans were supposed to be rare since finding demon blood wasn’t easy, the Enclave sure had... a lot of them.
Lucian shrugged at that.
He knew the Enclave had more power than he could imagine.
What interested him more right now was the strange air inside the truck. The place was dead silent.
Most of the people here had never worked together before because different Demon bloodlines reacted strangely when placed together.
Wrath became irritated.
Pride became competitive.
Greed started measuring what everyone else possessed.
Envy compared.
Gluttony, well, Gluttony focused on feeding.
Sloth slept.
And Desire...
Desire usually watched everything with great interest.
"So."
Lucian began, gathering several eyes on him.
"Which one of you is going to become a problem first?"
