Chapter 370: The Kiss That Changed Everything [R -18]

The Kiss That Changed Everything [R -18]

Julian’s golden eyes searched hers.

[She’s not pushing me away.]

[She’s not shouting.]

[Is she... is she actually...]

Before he thinks further, his gaze dropped to her lips.

Pink. Soft. Slightly parted.

Then back to her ruby eyes.

"I know I should," he admitted quietly, his voice rough with an emotion he couldn’t hide. "But I don’t want to."

Felberta’s breath caught.

Neither of them moved.

The air between them grew heavy, charged with something unspoken.

Julian’s hand, still hovering near her face, finally moved.

His fingers brushed a strand of black hair from her cheek, tucking it gently behind her ear.

The touch was featherlight.

Intimate.

Felberta shivered.

[Her skin is so soft.]

[I’ve never... I’ve never felt this way before.]

[Not with Bianca. Not with anyone.]

[She’s different. She’s so different.]

[And I think... I think I’m falling for her.]

His inner voice reached her clearly, and Felberta’s crimson eyes widened.

Falling for her?

For me?

Her heart stuttered in her chest.

She had kept everyone at arm’s length for so long. No one had ever... no one had ever looked at her like this.

But before she could process the thought, Julian leaned closer.

His forehead nearly touched hers.

"Felberta," he whispered again, his breath warm against her lips. "I’m sorry. I know this is wrong. I know you’re not ready. I know I shouldn’t—"

"Then don’t do anything," she whispered back, but her voice trembled.

Uncertain.

Her eyes drifted to his lips.

Then back to his eyes.

Julian caught the fleeting glance.

His heart pounded against his ribs.

[She didn’t pull away.]

[She’s scared... confused... but she’s still here.]

[Don’t rush her, Julian. Let her choose.]

He pulled back slightly, giving her space.

Not because he wanted to leave.

Because she deserved the choice. Giving her a choice.

"I won’t do anything you don’t want," Julian said quietly, his golden eyes never leaving hers. "If you tell me to leave, I’ll walk out that door. If you tell me to stop, I’ll stop. No arguments. No excuses."

Silence settled over the room.

Felberta stared at him, unable to look away.

Her heart was in complete chaos.

She hated men.

She had every reason to.

Years of betrayal, humiliation, and fear had carved that hatred so deeply into her heart that she’d long ago accepted it as part of who she was.

So...

Why wasn’t she telling him to leave?

Why wasn’t she screaming?

Why wasn’t she pushing him away?

It didn’t make sense.

Nothing about this felt right.

She should have despised him.

She should have looked at him the same way she looked at every other man.

Yet...

She couldn’t.

That thought frightened her more than anything.

Was she losing her mind?

Or was it because...

No.

She refused to finish that thought.

She clenched the blanket tighter, her fingers trembling.

Julian didn’t rush her.

He simply waited.

Patiently.

As though her answer mattered more than his own desires.

Another long silence passed.

Finally, Felberta lowered her eyes, her voice barely more than a shaky whisper.

"...I... don’t understand."

Her words were filled with confusion rather than acceptance.

"I still hate men."

She swallowed hard.

"I should hate you too."

A bitter smile flickered across her lips before disappearing just as quickly.

"So why..."

Her brows knitted together in frustration.

"...why can’t I bring myself to tell you to leave?"

The question wasn’t directed at Julian.

It was directed at herself.

The words hung between them, fragile and raw.

Julian’s breath caught.

Julian’s expression softened.

He leaned in again, slowly, giving her every chance to pull away.

His lips brushed against her forehead first.

A gentle, reverent kiss.

Then her temple.

Then her cheek.

Each touch soft, questioning, seeking permission.

Felberta’s eyes fluttered closed.

Her hands, still clutching the blanket, loosened their grip.

Julian’s lips hovered over hers.

"Tell me to stop," he whispered against her mouth.

She didn’t.

Instead, her fingers found his shirt, curling into the fabric.

And when his lips finally met hers—

It was like a spark catching dry tinder.

Soft at first.

Tentative.

A question and an answer all at once.

Felberta’s breath hitched as his mouth moved against hers, warm and gentle and achingly tender.

Her hand slipped from his shirt to his neck, pulling him closer.

The blanket fell away completely.

She didn’t care.

All she knew was the warmth of his lips, the strength of his hand cradling her cheek, the way her heart felt like it might burst from her chest.

Julian deepened the kiss slowly, savoring every second.

[She tastes like honey.]

[Like warmth.]

[Like everything I never knew I was looking for.]

[I don’t ever want to stop.]

He pulled back just enough to look at her.

Her crimson eyes were dazed, her lips pink and slightly swollen.

Her black hair was a mess around her shoulders.

And her breasts—full and beautiful, crowned with tight pink nipples that ached for his touch—rose and fell with her rapid breaths.

Julian’s gaze traveled downward, taking in the smooth expanse of her neck, the curve of her waist, the soft swell of her hips.

His dick stirred against his trousers, aching with a need he could barely contain.

But he held himself back.

He wouldn’t rush this.

He wouldn’t spoil this.

"Felberta," he breathed, his voice thick with emotion.

She opened her mouth to speak—

But no words came.

Instead, she pulled him back down.

And kissed him again.

And this time, there was no hesitation.

No uncertainty.

Just two people, finally letting themselves feel.

The night stretched on around them, warm and safe and full of promise.

For the first time in years, Felberta Ashbourne’s walls were down.

And Julian D’Aurelius, the flirt who had kissed countless women, found himself hopelessly, genuinely, falling for just one.

The one who mattered most.
