Inside the room, Aidele’s eyes snapped open, a frigid killing intent radiating from them.
"Delia’s been ambushed... At least nine Level Two Wizards, and the Thunder Eagle Guard."
Her voice was soft, but it made the air in the room instantly freeze.
In the corner, a cold glint flashed in Naseng’s dark brown eyes. He rose slowly, his bones letting out a faint series of pops.
"Location?"
"East District Old Lane. They have two Level Two Late Stage Wizards."
Aidele raised her head. Deep within her dark cyan pupils, silver patterns and Dark Gold veins swirled together.
"Get everyone... now."
「Underground Witchcraft Training Ground.」
Five figures stood in the center of the grounds. Their breathing was steady, but their gazes were as sharp as knives.
Naseng stood at the forefront, with two newly promoted Level Two Body Refining Wizards behind him.
A man and a woman: Carl and Coraline.
The two wore snug, gray combat attire, their skin faintly shimmering with a Dark Gold luster.
This was a sign of their complete fusion with the Earth Tyrant Potion.
Just two days prior, Aidele had taken the two of them to Golden Statue Tree Street and secretly completed their bloodline promotions.
Further back were Roy, the Cursed Wizard, and Aliya, the Elemental Wizard.
Dark purple threads were wrapped around Roy’s cuffs, his movements slow and deliberate.
Aliya’s long, dark blue hair was tied in a high ponytail, and the Crystal Bottle at her waist swayed slightly.
Aidele glanced over the five of them, wasting no words.
"Delia was ambushed. Nine Level Two enemies. Two of them are Late Stage."
She said coldly, "Our mission... is to tear them to shreds."
The five of them looked up in unison, the will to fight burning in their eyes.
Carl and Coraline clenched their fists, the Dark Gold patterns under their skin glowing faintly.
The vast, heavy, almost barbaric power within them was awakening.
Like a slumbering behemoth opening its eyes.
"Move out."
Six figures rushed out of the residence, melting into the night and streaking through the sky.
Aidele sped at the very front, her long hair trailing behind her in a straight line. She fully activated her Child of the Earth Veins trait.
The pulse of the Earth beneath her feet surged toward her like a tide.
Farther away, in the direction of the East District Old Lane, an intense fluctuation of Energy was like a torch lit in the darkness.
Delia’s aura... seemed to be fading rapidly.
’You have to hold on.’
Aidele took a deep breath and pushed her speed even faster, the five behind her following closely.
...
「The Old Lane Ruins.」
The smoke and dust had not yet settled, and the smell of blood mixed with a burnt odor filled the air.
Delia was kneeling on one knee, her right hand propped on her Short Blade, its tip stabbed three inches into the Stone Slab.
The wound on her left shoulder was a mangled mess of flesh and blood, which dripped down the edge of her Leather Armor.
She raised her head and looked at the bolt of lightning that had frozen ten meters away.
Inside the lightning, electric arcs were suspended in midair like frozen frost flowers.
Bizarre. Deathly still.
The tall, thin man, Grover, had a sudden change of expression and whipped his head around.
The effeminate man, Morris, paused his fingers, and the dark purple threads wrapped around them silently snapped.
The seven Level Two Wizards simultaneously took a step back, the light of their Shields flaring up before them.
At the end of the lane, in the shadows untouched by the moonlight.
Six figures slowly emerged.
The figure in the lead wore a Long Robe that fluttered in the night wind. Deep within her dark cyan pupils, silver patterns and Dark Gold veins intertwined and swirled.
Aidele stopped, her gaze sweeping over the ruins before landing on Delia.
Seeing the wound on her shoulder, the Dark Gold glow deep in Aidele’s pupils flared violently.
"Miss..."
Delia’s throat moved. She tried to say something, but only coughed up a mouthful of bloody foam.
Aidele raised a hand, signaling for her to stop talking, then turned to face the two men in the lead.
"Grover of the Thunder Eagle Guard, and... the Curse Master, Morris."
Her voice was soft, yet it contained a murderous intent that soared to the heavens.
These two were publicly known as Edwin and Adrian’s strongest Guards.
The Thunder Eagle on Grover’s shoulder sensed the killing intent and shifted its head uneasily.
Morris’s slender fingers slowly curled, the dark purple polish on his nails glinting with an eerie light.
"Miss Aidele."
Grover grinned, his voice hoarse.
"Out for a stroll with so many people this late at night?"
His gaze swept over the five people behind Aidele.
It paused on Naseng for a moment, and his pupils contracted slightly.
’A Level Two Middle Stage Body Refining Wizard... The intel didn’t mention this.’
When his gaze fell upon Carl and Coraline, his expression finally changed.
The Dark Gold patterns faintly visible beneath their skin, the fluctuation as heavy as the Earth itself...
’The same bloodline aura as Aidele... New Tier Two Bloodline Wizards?’
Grover’s heart leaped, and a fine sweat broke out on his palms.
Morris narrowed his eyes, dark purple Curse patterns swirling deep within his pupils.
Within those two, their bloodline power surged like underground magma, and deep within it, the faint phantoms of mountains seemed to rise and fall.
That wasn’t the fluctuation of an ordinary Tier Two Bloodline Wizard.
This... was practically the resonance of a fully Awakened bloodline.
"The intel is wrong," Morris’s voice was soft, like a snake hissing.
"Let’s retreat."
He said the last two words extremely quickly.
Grover didn’t hesitate for a second. With a shake of his shoulder, the Thunder Eagle spread its wings and shot into the sky!
He himself shot backward, a ring of lightning exploding from his feet.
His whole body launched like a cannonball toward the other end of the lane.
The seven black-robed Wizards turned simultaneously, scattering in different directions.
Their reactions were astonishingly fast, but someone else was faster.
"Trying to run?"
Aidele snorted coldly and stomped her right foot heavily on the ground.
BOOM!
A dull boom, like a giant hammer striking a massive drum.
The ground cracked, and shattered stones went flying.
Her entire body blurred into a deep purple afterimage, lunging straight for the two nearest black-robed Wizards!
The two had just turned when they felt a terrifying pressure from behind.
It was as if a mountain were crashing down on them.
They wanted to dodge, to block, to activate their Shields...
But in Aidele’s eyes... it was all too slow.
She shot out her right hand, her five fingers bent like a claw.
