Otherwise, you suddenly see a massive shape rise, as if the middle of the bridge lifts to block your way. It is a large troll with stony skin, who had been lying in a hole in the structure.
The monster brandishes a colossal club in one hand, and with the other points to a small earthen bowl on the ground:
“You no pass: pay one gold. If you no pay, leave or me break you. Me clear?”
