Chapter 715: Getting Hotter and Hotter

When they came out of the study, Yin Peng and the others were somewhat questioning their reality, wondering how Xu Mumu had so many superpowers.

But now Xu Mumu is the future wife of Yin Yang. Yes, the Yin Family has struck gold.

Now that the Yin Family has sufficient supplies, Yin Peng is ready to go all out.

"Sister-in-law, how are you so amazing?" Yin Chuchu clicked her tongue. Now, when it comes to her sister-in-law, she has nothing left but endless admiration.

"I don’t know either," Xu Mumu said calmly.

Feeling exhausted at night, Xu Mumu fell asleep as soon as she lay down, only to sense someone entering her room shortly after.

Having killed too many zombies today, her muscles had become reflexive, and she instinctively prepared to strike.

"Wife, it’s me," said Yin Yang helplessly, being strangled by the neck.

"What are you doing sneaking around at night? I thought it was a thief," Xu Mumu rolled her eyes, wondering where this guy learned to be so sneaky. It was truly enough.

"I wanted to come over and sleep with you. We’ve been sleeping separately for so long," Yin Yang said, looking aggrieved at his wife after his neck was released.

"Then why don’t you come openly," Xu Mumu glared at him.

"Okay, then you move into my room tomorrow. It’s already the apocalypse, we can’t even find a place to get married. Once things settle down, we’ll have a grand wedding," Yin Yang started to plan.

"Alright, I’m very tired today, let’s hurry up and sleep," Xu Mumu nodded. She naturally hoped that their children’s births would be proper and legitimate.

The next day, Xu Mumu was awakened by the alarm clock. It was already dawn outside. Today’s target was the antique shop, and they still needed to get some weapons for them.

The space wasn’t without weapons, but those were too good, and she didn’t want to take them out. Those people weren’t close enough to her to warrant it.

"So early? Wife, do you want to sleep a while longer?" Yin Yang looked at his wife compassionately. His wife was so exhausted yesterday that he didn’t want her to be so tired.

"I’m fine, let’s go, I’m hungry," Xu Mumu said with a helpless smile.

As soon as they went out, they saw Mrs. Yin coming down from upstairs.

Watching the two come out of one room, Mrs. Yin raised her eyebrow slightly but said nothing.

After breakfast, while waiting for a few cousins from the Yin Family, Mrs. Yin called Yin Yang into the room for a proper talk.

When Yin Yang came out, seeing his wife a bit worried, he shook his head at her.

Mrs. Yin didn’t ask much, mainly about their marriage. Now, getting married might not even be possible.

The group continued their journey. Xu Mumu leisurely walked beside Yin Yang, solving any zombie that got close with a single stroke. She was gradually rediscovering her past life’s zombie-slaying skills.

"It’s still five miles to Antique Street," Yin Lin said, holding a paper map. It was a map found in a travel magazine from home, which roughly outlined everything in the Imperial City, and it was good enough.

"Five miles, that’s so far," Yin Chuchu grumbled while killing zombies, feeling increasingly uncomfortable in the hot weather. She just wanted to go back and take a cold shower.

"Hang in there, we’ll be there soon," Xu Mumu smiled, stating that in her past life, most of her time was spent on the road; the weather wasn’t that hot yet, and it would only get hotter as time went on.

Since the apocalypse arrived, the weather became increasingly polarized, either extremely hot or extremely cold.

Fortunately, they had prepared basic supplies, so they didn’t have to worry about things to resist the cold.

Xu Mumu and the others were deftly killing zombies here, unaware that they had already been noticed by others—the very troops they encountered when they went to the hospital earlier. These people easily observed the commotion through binoculars.

"These are promising talents. Boss, should we recruit them?"

"We can try," the leader rubbed his chin. He didn’t know whether these people had superpowers, but if they did, that would be even better.

In the team today, no one used watermelon knives anymore since zombie necks were hard to chop, and watermelon knives weren’t effective. Iron rods were better, so everyone had an iron rod in hand.

The five miles took the group over an hour to cover, whereas without zombies, it would’ve taken a little over half an hour.

Zombies were everywhere outside, and naturally, the commotion they made by fighting through them wasn’t small.

They were followed by a group of people who came out because they felt it was safer behind them once they made a commotion killing zombies.

Upon arriving at Antique Street, an old lady’s face turned sour immediately, "Weren’t you looking for food?" She had thought following them would lead to finding food. What’s the use of coming to Antique Street?

"What we do is none of your business," Yin Yang said coldly, slashing a zombie. Black rotten flesh splattered onto the old lady, making her shriek.

Xu Mumu watched with amusement. Some people just lack self-awareness. They’re not some savior.

"My brother and sister-in-law don’t have the best temper. My sister-in-law even threw people to feed the zombies. Are you sure you still want to follow us?" Yin Chuchu said, eagerly watching the fear in these people, feeling she had become bad hanging around her sister-in-law these last few days.

These people were indeed annoying, causing trouble all the way and always attracting a horde of zombies. By now, she was already tired.

"Chuchu, are you hungry?" Xu Mumu took a few pieces of bread from her bag, directly ignoring the longing looks from those people.

These zombies were still low-level, something a normal person could handle, yet these people chose to hide. If they didn’t starve, who would?

Moreover, the state had already taken control of those supermarkets outside. Anyone could get some supplies if they went there, but to sustain themselves, they had to figure it out.

As long as one’s daring enough, even without awakening superpowers, one could still gather some supplies during this period.

The few of them divided the bread, especially Yin Chuchu, who maliciously enjoyed her meal, causing those people’s eyes to resemble those of ravenous wolves.

Unfortunately, on the road, they clearly saw that these few had tremendous fighting capabilities, so even in a group, they didn’t dare to snatch anything. They had been hungry for days and lacked the strength to steal.

After eating the bread, they weren’t hungry anymore.

Xu Mumu and the others continued towards Antique Street. Although there weren’t many people, there were still quite a few zombies. They had already cleared the zombies outside cleanly, leaving the others hesitant to continue following them.

Following them meant nothing to them, and there was no food.

"There are no more zombies here, shall we go elsewhere to find food? I’m so hungry," a middle-aged man suggested.
