Chapter 714: Always Courting Death

But now, this man was utterly unromantic, kicking her in the waist, causing a sharp pain.

Yin Yang’s cold-blooded nature also made her feel fear, causing her to be even more frightened of him.

"Scream one more time, and I’ll throw you to the zombies." Her voice once again attracted the surrounding zombies, and those upstairs were also coming down.

Seeing Yin Yang’s group surrounded by zombies, Fang Linlin’s eyes flashed with maniacal hatred.

Her voice became even more piercing; if they didn’t appreciate her warning, then they could just die.

Watching the countless zombies swarm over, Fang Linlin’s heart surged with intense satisfaction of revenge.

Xu Mumu’s face darkened, his gaze fell on Fang Linlin, his lips subtly curling up, there’s always someone who likes to court death.

"Yin Yang, guard this spot." Xu Mumu withdrew the knife in his hand and walked toward Fang Linlin.

"Be careful." Yin Yang nodded, though unsure what his little wife was planning, regardless he supported her, intending to become strong in this life and protect her.

"Don’t come any closer, my father is the Minister of Foreign Affairs." Fang Linlin, seeing Xu Mumu approaching nonstop, shrank back in fright, her body aching from where Yin Yang had kicked her.

"Oh really? I’m so scared, do you know which era it is now? It’s the apocalypse, the one with the biggest fist rules. You’re so tender-skinned, zombies should love eating you." Xu Mumu’s face showed a cruel smile.

He stretched out a hand to grab Fang Linlin’s neck, effortlessly lifting her up, successfully seeing the terror in her eyes.

Xu Mumu’s smile deepened, then lightly threw her into the zombie horde.

The air was thick with the metallic smell of blood, accompanied by Fang Linlin’s screams.

But there were far too many zombies on this side, Fang Linlin screamed only briefly before her voice completely vanished, devoured thoroughly by the zombies.

Xu Mumu wiped his hands and approached the group, observing their fear-stricken faces, not caring at all. If you don’t eliminate the root, consequences will linger; it’s always better to kill directly.

The zombies were still gnawing on Fang Linlin’s body, paying no attention to Yin Yang’s group.

Yin Chuchu and the others stayed quietly, watching Xu Mumu. They even felt a chill run through them, marking him as someone not to be provoked.

"Chuchu, get some water so your sister-in-law can wash her hands, it’s filthy. Next time, I’ll do this kind of dirty work." Yin Yang felt no fear at all, instructing his sister to get some water.

Yin Chuchu: "..." Maybe her brother’s brain got ruined during sleep? How could he not be afraid? Showing off their love at a time like this? Enough already.

Yin Chuchu obediently fetched some water for Xu Mumu to wash his hands, though the visibly trembling stream left him speechless.

This was fear at its finest; more ruthless things lay ahead. As the apocalypse stretched on, food would become ever more scarce, and people would turn cannibal. This was nothing in comparison.

But Xu Mumu wasn’t ready to tell them everything; fear among his peers was advantageous.

Yin Yang understood the consequences of sparing enemies even better than Xu Mumu. He was still very much in favor of his wife’s actions.

With Fang Linlin devoured completely, more zombies were drawn over.

Yin Yang commanded a group to slay the zombies. There were so many that even Xu Mumu felt exhausted.

After killing the third wave of zombies, Xu Mumu was entirely worn out.

People downstairs had kept quiet watch as Xu Mumu threw Fang Linlin to the zombies, growing more fearful of them, cautious even during their rest, wary of provoking them and becoming the next sacrifice.

After a rest, Xu Mumu promptly closed the door to the stairs.

"Go fetch any Crystal Cores," Xu Mumu told the Yin Family members flatly, finding the task too filthy to manage herself.

"Alright." They obeyed dutifully; they had no choice given Xu Mumu’s strength and Yin Yang’s favoritism.

The zombies on the third floor were essentially stragglers from the fourth floor; one or two hundred corpses lay carelessly scattered around, forming a gruesome spectacle.

Entrusting Yin Lin and others to search for Crystal Cores, Yin Yang took Xu Mumu to various departments gathering up numerous devices, thanks to the spacious Reincarnation Jade accommodating a substantial amount of items.

The couple collected instruments from the entire floor before discovering a few survivors, instructing them to join the earlier group.

After organizing, they resumed their journey; the fourth floor had few zombies left, and by afternoon, the entire building was cleared out, their space now containing a small pile of Crystal Cores.

"It’s dark now, Mumu, get two cars prepped. It’s too dangerous at night; we’d better head back early," Yin Yang remarked, noticing the sky outside.

"Mm." Xu Mumu nodded, aware of the increased activity of zombies at night.

Xu Mumu walked alone outside, found an isolated spot, parked two cars, then waved Yin Yang’s group over.

"Sister-in-law, where did you find these cars? They’re pretty great, specially modified too," Yin Chuchu, less fearful now, admired the cars enthusiastically, a car aficionado always drawn to well-modified vehicles.

"The cars were parked by the roadside; I killed their owners who had turned into zombies." Xu Mumu lied smoothly, unfazed.

"You’re so lucky, sister-in-law." Yin Chuchu admired in envy.

Seated in the passenger seat awake, Yin Lin felt complicated; such modified cars were rare finds, the gullible cousin easily fooled.

Despite not knowing where the cars came from, Xu Mumu showed no hostility to the Yin Family, which was enough for them.

Upon returning to the Yin Family estate, they immediately showered, finding themselves soiled and stinking of zombies, fouling the entire yard.

Yin Lin and the others showered quickly as Yin Peng inquired about their day’s encounters.

Listening to their stories, Yin Peng paused in silence for two seconds.

"The zombies there are cleared. We didn’t take any vehicles over; there’re plenty of instruments left. Dad, should we dispatch people to take over the hospital there?" Yin Chuchu looked to Yin Peng, unaware Xu Mumu had collected all the instruments.

"No need, we brought the equipment back. Dad, I’ve got something to discuss with you." Yin Yang, after deliberating with Xu Mumu, decided to tell Yin Peng and the family about the space, deeming the Yin brothers reliable for now.
