Chapter 345: The Armor Changes Rooms

The removal mark left the Witness Avatar’s plated finger before Didi finished raising her sword. Hajin tightened one section of the Legendary Chain around that wrist without drawing the links across anyone pinned nearby.

Three Rings gave him enough movement to pull the armored hand away from its target. The coronation gauntlet cracked beneath the Chain, but the white-gold presence abandoned it before the fracture reached the hollow wrist.

An armor cabinet opened across the northern wall without receiving a physical key. Procession plate stepped from its wooden frame while condensed light filled the empty joints beneath a crested helm.

The kneeling law moved into that second body without releasing any accepted rank. Didi’s removal mark turned from the broken gauntlet toward the newly occupied armor before Hajin’s Chain completed its recoil.

"It moved before your damage reached the core shape," Aria said, tracing white-gold current behind the cabinets, "the coronation armor remains connected to another prepared vessel inside the same ward."

Hajin redirected the Chain toward the northern shell while every ally held position. Eirwen kept the servant arch open with twelve pressured Shards, leaving seventeen promised breaths before her raw control failed.

Vella appeared inside that unranked passage behind the evacuated guard escort at its lower threshold. She had followed the warning current from the sealed infirmary basin, reaching the lower service screen as Captain Roen cleared the last coronation attendants.

Her violet reserve remained exhausted after tracing the living demon child’s treatment route. Only gold healing mana covered her bare fingertips when she touched the armor-maintenance rail beside Eirwen’s planted bow.

"Do not enter the measured floor," Hajin said, keeping the second armor’s raised hand inside the Chain, "the law turns help into pressure against whoever receives it."

"Then I will examine the body it forgot extends outside the room," Vella replied, pressing her thumb against the first ward collar, "ceremonial metal receives preservation care through this rail."

Gold entered the maintenance fitting through physical contact rather than ranged violet circulation. The rail divided her diagnostic current among nine archive registrations, each ending inside a complete ceremonial armor stored around the coronation room.

Six branches returned cold metal, preservation oil, plus empty wooden frames without divine occupancy. Three carried moving white-gold circulation despite containing no breath, heartbeat, living core, or mortal treatment response.

[ Active incarnation branches: three ]

[ Shared divine body: distributed ]

The three active branches ended inside the cracked coronation armor, the northern procession shell, plus another complete suit behind the western cabinet. Each held a separate portion of one constructed body while the incarnation core moved among them.

Hajin pulled the northern armor away from Didi before its open hand completed the removal line. His Chain crushed the shell’s forearm against the cabinet frame, forcing another transfer before the divine core could be caught.

White-gold occupancy vanished from the northern breastplate and entered the western armor. The first coronation shell straightened at the same moment, showing that damage to one branch never removed either escape vessel from the shared body.

Three crowned helms now faced different parts of the room beneath identical smooth light. Only the western shell carried the concentrated core shape, although the other two retained active hands, sight lines, plus pieces of the kneeling law.

"Every strike chooses its next room for it," Hajin said, holding the Chain between all three without closing another Ring, "breaking plate only makes the core use whichever shell remains clear."

Vella followed each transfer through the rail beneath her fingertips without releasing physical contact. The divine circulation treated all three active armors as limbs belonging to one patient, allowing injury to withdraw the vital current before metal failure reached it.

The six inactive armors remained outside that moving circulation for the moment. Their open ward branches still offered additional shell positions if the avatar widened its distributed body again.

"I can close the empty branches without touching what is alive inside the other three," Vella said, moving to the next collar by hand, "someone else handles the common pulse after I remove its unused reach."

She sent a narrow gold thread around the first inactive ward collar, separating preservation circulation from incarnation current. The armor remained intact inside its cabinet while its maintenance branch closed beneath the original archive seal.

No system reward appeared because Vella destroyed neither an object nor a hostile mechanism. She preserved the ceremonial set, its inventory mark, plus its ordinary maintenance function while denying it an active route into the divine body.

Another inactive branch closed beneath the same physical method along Vella’s gold diagnostic route. Vella moved along the rail one collar at a time, forcing the avatar to remain inside three already occupied shells without spending her unavailable violet reserve.

The western armor drove its removal mark toward Didi while Hajin held the northern shell away. He snapped one free Chain length around the active finger, breaking its aim before the white-gold script reached her royal label.

White-gold core light transferred back into the coronation breastplate as that armored finger split. All three bodies changed posture together, proving their active branches remained linked even when only one carried the concentrated presence.

Eirwen counted thirteen breaths under sustained command pressure while Vella closed the final inactive collar. Six unused armors remained standing behind their cabinet glass, fully preserved and separated from the avatar’s circulation.

Ferra dismissed the single Wing already collapsed around her tools and crawled toward the central display frame. The law kept her one accepted rank close to the floor, leaving only both hands plus two ceramic wedges available for inspection.

Vella sent her gold diagnostic current through the three active branches until their pulses met beneath the central cabinet rail. Every divine transfer crossed one thumb-length piece of white metal carrying a royal blood impression through its center.

"There," Vella said, holding the shared pulse against its physical fitting, "all three bodies call that one point their heart whenever the moving core changes direction."

Ferra scraped preservation dust from the fitting with one ceramic edge while her other hand held its retaining collar. The common piece was an old royal ward pin installed above the deeper incarnation socket grammar.

"The armors are separate objects," Ferra said, examining the blood impression without touching it directly, "this pin tells the archive ward to preserve them as one ceremonial body."

Removing it carelessly could collapse ordinary preservation wards, release the armor seals, or drive the incarnation core into another palace branch. Ferra therefore placed her first wedge beneath the outer collar before applying any turning force.

Hajin kept all three active shells inside separate Chain arcs while she worked. Damaging another shell would trigger another transfer, so every link remained outside the concentrated core until Ferra could isolate its only common path.

The Witness Avatar watched her hands through three crowned helms as Didi’s removal mark continued burning above the room. Ferra began lifting the shared royal pin by one measured edge, using no Wing and trusting Vella’s gold touch to tell her when the divine pulse moved.
